Chapter FORTY TWO

I was allowed outside,so I patiently waited for Ty to get back. Whilst waiting I got a good look at the place we were at ,it was in the middle of nowhere,we must be in some old abandoned town,the building was only five stories high.
The gates opened and cars started piling in, I looked around for Ty until I saw him get out of a car with Cain. I was getting confused wasn't he supposed to go alone,why all the men and all the guns? I then see the truck I saw earlier that was carrying rogues empty.
"What did you do!",
"There's my favorite child,who knew you'd be so useful to me?", Cain laughed.
" Ty what is going on?"I asked, dreading his response.
He reached into the car and took out my baby who was wrapped in a beautiful white blanket that was stained with a little blood.
"I got your son and your friend as well",he says pointing to a man that carried a passed out Jill on his shoulder.
"This wasn't part of the arrangement",
"We'll talk about it later",he says and hands my son to me. He helps me inside when we bump into guards that were wheeling away an unconscious Syrus,he had both his hands and legs chained in silver chains that burnt into his skin.
"What the hell is Syrus doing here?! What did you do to him! You were only supposed to get my child and bring him to me not hurt Syrus!", I screamed, hitting him. The shouting startled my baby who began to cry.
"What is she talking about Ty?", Cain asked.
"Nothing",
" You lied and tricked me,if I knew you were going to do this I would have never agreed to help you get into that territory",
" Calm down Eden I'll explain to you later!",
" I don't want to hear anything you have to say",
I went back to my room and tried to pacify the baby. I've been away from him for two weeks. Maybe it's because he doesn't recognize me. That's why he's crying so much I can't even breastfeed him because my breasts stopped lactating. I search through the diaper bag and find a still warm bottle of milk.
"Don't cry ", I warmly said and fed him the bottle. I rocked him until he went to sleep. There was a knock on the door and a guard pushed a crib in.
"Mr Ty said to deliver this to you",he says and pushes it to the side of my bed. After putting him to sleep I snuck out of the room , the fact that there wasn't anything guard at my door made things easier. I heard some guards discuss where Syrus was being held,in the lab.
I waited until the area was clear of people and went inside.
Syrus was strapped in a chair with silver nails embedded in his wrists and ankles, his neck and abdomen was also strapped in silver.
"Syrus! Please wake up", I called out to him as tears streamed down my face. I tried to pull at his restraints but he stopped me.
"Stop, I'll be fine, I'm just glad you're okay,you have to leave before they find you down here trying to help me", he said.
" I'm sorry if I had known Ty was going to do this I wouldn't have trusted him",
" It's okay don't worry,you have to keep the baby safe,find Jill and get out of here",
" I'm not leaving you alone",
" Yadira will be here soon so don't worry about me", he says and insists that I leave.
"Did you ever love me?", I asked him. He was strapped to a chair,silver spikes embedded into his writs and feet,he was losing a lot of blood stopping him from healing.
I ignored the pain I felt and walked closer to him.
"Yes I love you, you yourself know it Eden",he hoarsely said.
" Why are you lying!",I breath.
"If you knew you were never going to love me,why did you keep me with you , you could have let me go ,why did you mark me",
" I couldn't resist the attraction between us,I was selfish ,I couldn't handle the thought of my mate starting a life with another man",he says.
" I never promised you anything in the beginning Eden,you yourself know this,but I started falling for you even when I denied it I was falling in love with you. I love you. I had already made the decision to take that step with you",he says.
" You've always chosen her over me ,you were going to kill me Syrus,how can you think of doing something like that to the woman you claim to love?",
" You misunderstand me Eden, I'd never think of doing that to you
"I'll find a way to get you out of here , I'll be lying to myself if I say that I hate you, despite everything I don't want to see you hurt because you're the love of my life",
" And you're mine as well Eden, I was scared she was going to attack you again, rogues are relentless bloodthirsty monsters she wasn't going to stop even if she got shot. I'm not like them I promised I'd never abandon you,you have to believe me",
I ran out of there, and went to my room before they would notice that I was gone. I had to speak to Ty so he'd tell me where Jill was ,if Yadira was coming for him then they must have found the location of this place.
