Chapter FORTY THREE

I ran to my room and closed the door behind me,but found Ty ,Cain and my mother who held my son in her arms.
It was good I found him here because the plan was never to capture Syrus, even though I'm still and kind of hate him I didn't want him to be hurt.
"Ty you lied to me ! This was never part of the plan,I want you guys to release Syrus immediately!",
" We can't and I never knew you'd come in so handy my dear you're not so useless after all", Cain smiled.
" Cain don't speak to her like that", Ty warned.
"You said you were going to sneak in and get my child not to attack that place! How can you do this? All those innocent people",
" They are not people, they are beasts! And the sooner you get that into your pretty head the best it is for this family!", My mother yells.
" You're sick in the head,Cain and Ty are part of them does that make them beasts as well?",
" It's different", she says and lifts my baby from the crib.
"What are you doing?, where are you taking him?",I said and reached for my baby but Cain held me, stopping me.
"You were going to leave your family?!",he yelled and I saw the bag I had packed my clothes in on the bed.
"Yes! You people are mad! werewolves may be beasts but you're the only monsters here! And you",I say turning to my brother, " you let me down once again I should have known not to expect anything from the people that abandoned me, I want nothing to do with your plans,they may be different but they are still human after all, even if they treated you badly what makes you any different from them,you want to wipe out the entire species! Are you mad ?!",I yell and struggle out if his hold.
" They don't deserve any mercy!", Cain yells at me.
"I don't care just give me my son back!",
" I wonder what happens when a Lycan turns rogue,do you think I'll be able to tame it like the other wolves"he says, rubbing my son's head .
" No!",I yell and attack him.
"Stop it!",Ty says and cages me in his arms.
" You will understand later ,after this we will be the most influential people on Earth. Many people want them gone, it's human for us to fear those stronger than us",my mother says and begins walking out if the room.
" No ! No! Let me go! Please,not my baby, I'm begging you Ty!",I sobbed.
But he held me and I helplessly watched them take my baby away.
"Take care of her", Cain says and I receive a hard blow to the head knocking me out.
When I woke up I found myself in one of the cages that keep the untamed rogues in.
"You're finally awake",Jill says and helps me sit up.
" Is this where they were keeping you all along?",I ask and hold my aching head.
" Yes ",she nodded. "Why did you do it? Why did you help them, Eden ,they killed everyone no one was spared not even the humans' ',she asked.
" What good have they ever done for us ,we were held there against our will and they treated us like we won't worth the dust on the ground",i say trying to justify myself to not only to her but to my consciousness as well.
"He was changing,for you",she says.
"I was dying and he chose her over me!",
" So this is what it is all about,all because you got your feelings hurt others deserve to die? ",She says and walks away from me.
"Deborah was going to get up and attack you again,he got there in time to hold her down, everyone there saw it ,you implicated everyone over something so silly",she continues.
" That doesn't change the fact that he was going to kill me after I gave birth",
" He was going to ask the council to expel him from the family,Eden,I saw the letter he gave to Collin to deliver,he may have been in love with Deborah but you managed to change his heart all this years I've worked for him I've never seen the Alpha this way",she says.
It can't be true she is saying this just to make me feel bad because she doesn't know whether Collin is alive or not.
"You're lying",I say.
"Do you really think a hybrid like your brother managed to capture Syrus easily? He did it for you so he could get you out of here".
Now that I remember all the times Syrus shifted and the immense power that came from him,it wouldn't have been possible for Ty to capture him that easily.
My knees gave out when I finally understood how foolish I was,my mate was going to die and it was all going to be my fault.
I got up and removed the little knife from my boots and opened the electric lock of the cell.
"What are you doing?", Jill asked.
"Trying to make things right I just hope I'm not too late",I say and after cutting a few wires it opens.
We run down the hallway and into the lab as the alarm goes off notifying the guards that come running.
"You're not supposed to be here", a scientist says and reaches to push the red button but Jill hit him with a glass flask knocking him out.
When we couldn't see any of the guards we ran all the way to where they were holding Syrus.
