Syrus'POV
" Are you mad ,how can you say you do not care about the baby and all you wanted was for them to save that human!", My father yelled as soon as I stepped out of Eden's room.
" Because that's it, I didn't care all I wanted was for Eden to be fine", my soul left my body after I saw Deborah attack Eden , I've never felt so much fear,I felt the same way that I did when I lost my mother,I didn't want to live in a world without her. because I love her. And seeing her lying there in that hospital bed made me realize what a mistake it was for keeping Deborah,
The door opens and Mark walks out "Syrus I need you to see this", he says.
I walked into the room ,they were using it to operate on Deborah who is chained to the surgical table and her mouth in a .
"Something is wrong",he says.
"What's the problem?",
" Her vitals are changing,they are returning to normal and she's healing",he says.
Healing? It can't be because rogues do not heal,I inspect the are he is pointing at and I can clearly see it healing slowly.
"How is this possible?", I ask.
"Eden ",he says .
And tells me to follow him to the lab. " It's her blood,this is the reason I came to your office, I was going to speak to you after I found out", he says taking a sample of black liquid which I presume is a Rogues blood sample and puts a drop of it on a glass side . " This is Eden's blood", he says and mixes them and tells me to take a look.
I look through the eyepiece and see cells in her blood engulfing the blackened red blood cells of Deborah's blood.
"Eden's blood has antibodies against Vynul. She must at some point been exposed to this drug but the drug didn't kill her like it does to other humans'',
" But all humans that have come into contact with it develop an addiction to it and don't live past one week",
" But Eden is not completely human",he says, running his hands through his hair.
" That is not possible,both her father and mother are human!", My dad who just walked in says.
"I have samples of her blood here and when I looked at them I did notice something unusual,she has a recessive wolf gene",
" So she has an ancestor that was a werewolf shifter", I say.
" Yes or Daniel is not really her father",Mark says.
"I should have said something, earlier , she heals fast not as fast as a wolf does but faster than a human",he continues, yes now that he says it this is when I realize it as well .
I needed to speak to Daniel after this . I walk out of the room and head to the room in which she is in. But I don't see her anywhere, maybe she may have woken up so I check the bathroom and I don't find her and a dreadful feeling fills my heart.
"Where is she?!",I ask and grab the guard who was supposed to be standing outside her door by the collar.
"What do you mean Alpha,she is inside",he says but stops when he peeks behind me and sees the room empty "I just went to use the bathroom for a few minutes".
" Gather everyone I want the entire place searched",I say and he shifts running out of there.
"Collin is the baby alright",I ask as I see him walking towards me
" Yes what happened?", He asks looking into the room
" I can't find Eden",
" She must have not gotten far, we will find her",he says.
" What do you mean Eden is gone?! ", Jill asks holding the baby in her arms.
" She is not in her room",
'` Do you think her brother took her?"She asks ,panicky looking into the room.
"What do you mean her brother took her , has she been in contact with him? ",
" Eden told me she met him that day when we went out and he told her to go with him but she refused",she says.
" You have to keep calm, Syrus ", Collin reminds me,I can already feel my lycan trying to take over.
I walk back into the room to see if I can get any unfamiliar scent. I look around and find a chankra,the one that belonged to my mother's family. It has been lost for so many years that I got tired of looking for it. With this I can claim the seat from my mother's family that has been left empty for so long. My mother was the last descendant of the Sinclair family for so many years there were no male descents in the family. It disappeared together with my great-grandfather.
"She found it when you guys went to London in some tomb,she was going to give it to you today as a gift after she found out what it really was", Jill said.
" We've searched everywhere she has gone ,she is not on the estate but Roman and the rest I've followed the trail of her scent back into town", Collin reports.
" So what if she is gone,now you won't find an excuse not to mark Tatiana as your mate",my dad says walking into the room.
" He is not going to mark her , Eden and Syrus held their mating ceremony today you were not invited, You're finally having some balls", Yadira walks in and she walks up to Jill and takes the baby from her " you will be like me little pup a true Vanclavik and not a sissy like your idiot father",she coos.
" Listen to me boy,with her family backing you don't you know you'll be able to..",my father continues but I stop him mid sentence.
" I don't need you or the Vanclavik seat, I'll stand as the heir to the Sinclair family",I say and show him the chankra.
I can see the surprise on his face when he sees it. We all thought it disappeared and I've been searching for it for years now.
"I don't want the Vanclavik seat",I say and walk out.
" Syrus!", Yedira calls and follows after me. " Tyrone was spotted in town but my trackers lost him", she says.
Tyrone has been working with Cain ,I didn't know how to tell Eden that the brother she loved so much was alive and is now wanted by the council, infact her entire family is wanted and now she may be with them as we speak.
I need to speak to Daniel and get some answers. Collin and I drove to the prison under the Headquarters so I could speak to him.
I need authorization but no one bothers to stop me each time.
"Miss me already Alpha",he mocks.
"I think Eden is with her brother", I say.
" What! You have to find her",
" What do you know?",
" Cain tried shifting herand her brother when they were younger,I threatened to report the experiments we were going and he took all our research, Vivian and fled",
" But that can only happen if ",
" They are not my children,I knew it for a long time but I loved Vivian too,so I played the fool and stayed with her. Turns out they were mates,but you have to find her he tried to forcefully shift them once he will do it again",
