Chapter TWENTY FIVE

I walked into the library in the house and was amazed at how big it was , columns and columns of books,it was larger than the one we had back at the house.
I looked for some books that had history on werewolves. I was so engrossed in reading that I didn't notice Georgia who had walked in,I just felt an uncomfortable stare that alerted me of her presence .
"You're not supposed to be here",she stanly says.
" I'm-I'm so-sorry, I'll leave right away",I say and grab the books so I can put them back where I found them.
"You know you can never be with him",she says and stops me in my tracks.
" So I'm told",I say and smile awkwardly.
"Pathetic", sh spits " typical of the human species, loving someone whom you know loves someone else, don't you have any dignity",
" I don't see anything wrong with fighting for the man I love",I say
" Are you sure it's not because all the people in your life abandoned you ,all the people that you were supposed to love left you ,so now that you found out he is your mate the other half of you, your fated,so you've clung to him so that just like everyone else he doesn't abandon you",she says taking a seat and crossing her legs.
"With all due respect it is none of your business,you don't know me",
" Oh yes I make it my business to know everyone that steps foot in my territory. Eden Blake 20 years old ,your mother left when you were young, you've been on the move with your father and brother ever since but he too left you with your abusive father, it's not love Ms Blake. Of course there is attraction because the bond between you two fated mates are rare and wolves can only have children with them because they can only have them for a mate in this life and no other. He is a Lycan of course the bond between you two is special and will be just as strong".
" I don't care what you or everyone else thinks, even if he doesn't love me but I know how I feel about him and that is enough for me. I'll try my best for as long as my heart beats. She makes way in his heart because you're right without him I have nothing",I say and walk away. I'm tired of everyone trying to separate me from him when he himself isn't pushing me away.
I may seem pathetic and ignorant to others but this is what loving someone is , I'm happy and content as long as I'm beside him.
After u walked out of the library I realized I had walked out with the books in my hands,I didn't want to go back and face Syrus Aunt so I went ahead and took them with them to my room.
I had seen a greenhouse when Syrus took me for a tour of this mansion,so I decided to go there instead and read the material I had found.
I walked into the greenhouse even though it looks like it's not been properly taken care of but the plants have managed to flourish beautifully.
She decided to find a better place to sit,while I looked at the plants I noticed a bloody handprint on a vase of a plant. I touched the blood that had darker clots in it,I held it up to my nose and sniffed it because the pungent smell almost made me retch.
I finally noticed some of the blood on the floor as well and there was a small voice in me that kept urging me to get the hell out of there but my legs followed the coughing and wheezing I heard.
After hearing the breaking of glass I increased my pace a little.
When I finally reached where the sound was coming from ,I stopped in my tracks.
Nidia was coughing and wheezing like she couldn't breathe,she was covered in blood,some blood came out of her mouth and eyes and her eye had already turned black.
"Nidia are you okay",I said and walked towards her.
"No! Get away from me! What have you done to me!"She screamed and hid further away from me.
" I'm going to take you to get help",I said and cautiously approached her.
" Get away from me!"She growled, her hair falling off and her skin turning black her eyes turned red as she contorted in different positions, her bones cracking as she screamed in pain.
"Nidia let me help you",I said, my voice crackling from my fear.
But seeing her turning into the things that attacked Syrus and I didn't want to stay there a moment longer but when u realized that it was too late and she had already turned into a rogue.
I grabbed a potted plant and threw it at her and bolted for the exist,she was hot in my trail,I wasn't going to make it to the exit in time,I turned and couldn't see her behind me,by the time I was rounding the corner heading to the exist,she was there ready to pounce on me.
I had no way out so I grabbed the broken chair and used it as a shield to break through the grass wall.
I ran through the woods that surrounded the greenhouse and found myself in a clearing.
It looked like an outside training area because all the people there turned to look at me.
"What is it?"Micheal, who stood next to Floyd, asked me. I didn't get a chance to answer when Nidia broke through the woods.
"Nidia",I said, trying to catch my breath and pointing at the wolf."Something happened I don't know,but she turned into that when we were in the greenhouse",I said and hid behind him.
" Don't shoot! Stand down", Floyd yelled at the wolves that had already taken they're guns out and most of them were already in their wolf forms.
They surrounded Nidia who kept growling at everyone.
"What did you do to her?!", Floyd asked aggressively, grabbing me by the shoulder.
"Hey!", Micheal shoved him. "Let's take care of the situation at hand,'' he said as other people arrived with tranquilizer guns.
It took a look of shots to finally take her down.
Floyd approached his mate and touched her head tenderly, "what happened to you",he said and glared at me .
" I didn't do anything",I say.
"I know,let's get you inside",he said and led me to the living room.
After what seemed to be hours Syrus finally walked through the door. I ran into his arms,he is the only person that makes me feel safe,I took in his familiar scent and buried my face in his arms.
"Are you hurt?",he asked and I shook my head in response.
"Tell me what you did to her!"Floyd asked about me and tried to grab me.
"Watch it!", Syrus growled, Floyd growled in response making the atmosphere tense.
"Enough!", Georgia said hitting the cane she held on the floor.``tell us what happened human",she turns to me and says.
" My name's Eden",I whispered and moved from behind Syrus where he was shielding me."After you told me to leave the library,I went looking for a place to read. So I decided to go to the greenhouse instead but when I went there I saw blood on the floor and followed the trail of blood and found Nidia bleeding from her mouth and eyes,she wouldn't let me get anywhere near her,I tried but she turned into what she is and attacked me ",
" She's lying!"Floyd said, coming at me again.
" I didn't do anything I swear",
"Something like this has never happened until you got here,I want here searched for any traces of Vynul",he ordered and some men tried to grab me.
"Nobody touches her!", Syrus growled "she has nothing to do with this besides Nidia wouldn't let Eden anywhere near her we all know how much she doesn't like her",
" That is true and if Eden is the one that drugged her ,It would take atleast two hours before Nidia could finally turn rogue,and judging from the time she spoke to mother in the library,she wouldn't have drugged Nidia in time for her to turn and attack her,so you need to calm down Floyd", Micheal says.
Floyd looked frustrated as he pulled on his hair. Georgia ordered for everyone and everything to be thoroughly searched. It turned out to be the maids that had put the drug in her tea at breakfast. The girl had also taken the drug and turned rogue, Floyd ripped her to pieces so they couldn't get the information on the reason she did it or where she got it from.
