Chapter TWENTY ONE

When we arrived it was already dark, I took a deep breath to have a taste of what the air here felt like.
I couldn't believe I'm in London. With a smile on my face I took Syrus' hand and stepped down the plane.
There were people already waiting for us and they referred to him as master.
We got into the car and drove to the place we were going to be staying. We will be living with Syrus' cousin,whose mother is Syrus' father's elder sister.
The place was in the suburbs of London and the mansion stood imposingly surrounded by woods.
A tall lean man with golden rimmed glasses stood by the door with a few servants waiting for us.
"Syrus, always informing people at the last minute whenever you travel",he said and walked towards us " never thought I'd see you again after the accident with Deborah",he said, shaking his hand and pulling him in for a hug.
"You smell like a human",he says and turns to me "so it is true,the goddess cursed you with a human. unbelievable. A pure blood with a human,you must have done something f**ked up for her to punish you this way,you know you can never sit at the council of elders with her as your mate right?",
" Enough, Micheal!"Syrus says and his cousin just shrugs and walks to the door.
I follow closely behind Syrus with my hand on his coat.
"Mother would like to have a word with you", Micheal says " the Omegas will take care of the human",he says, I hold onto the edge of Syrus' coat and not let go.
"It's fine I'll be with you as soon as I speak to her",he says to me , trying to reassure me.
I reluctantly let go of his coat and get a kiss on the forehead from him.
I watched him walk away and my heart sunk a little, my excitement for being in London withering.
"This way", a lady said and I hurriedly followed behind her. I didn't realize she had stopped until I bumped into her.
" So this is the famous human mistress of Syrus' ', a woman standing next to a man dressed in an Armani suit says.
I could sense the hostility from her and I took a step back but I was blocked by a maid standing behind me.
"I knew he had human mistresses but for him to bring her with him during business trips?",she said, caressing my face.
"Your presence is an eyesore, you're the reason he kicked my sister out,you ruined their relationship",she says.
" I hear he likes her ,he even offended Vlad for her ,you don't know the mess my uncle had to deal with because of that",the man said.
" Then I'll be doing everyone a favor getting rid of the nuisance",she smiled.
" You can't, I'm his mate ",I swallowed.
"Ah! she talks!", She says and raises her hand , smacking me in the face,with so much force I would have fallen if it wasn't for the maid next to me holding me up.
"You dare speak rodent?!",she roared.
"Come on my love ,leave the poor human alone ,who knew what Syrus will do?",
" Why you ? Of all the people he settles for a human like you?"
" How is that any of your concern, Nidia?", Syrus asks. Walking towards us with his cousin and a sten old pale woman next to him.
"You better control your mate Floyd otherwise people might think she is still in love with me", Syrus said and I could see the man's face turn cold.
"I shall not stand for insults especially when it's to my people,you had no right touching her Nidia,now tell me why I shouldn't rip your hand from its socket", Syrus growled.
" Touch her and you die!", The man named Floyd growls as well.
" Syrus this isn't like you at all , all this for a filthy human?!", Nidia said, looking at him like he was accusing her.
"Shut your mouth!",he growled " I won't do anything to you because this is your territory, I'm never,to see you step foot in my territory otherwise I'll settle the score!".
" Syrus!", Floyd warned as his mate burst into tears.
"Enough!",the old lady said "Floyd take your mate away".
Micheal handed me a tissue to stop my bleeding nose and apologized for what had happened. But I was already used to such a reaction for the women that were in love with Syrus, but seeing him protect me like this just shows how important I am to him, even if he himself doesn't realize it.
After tending to my cheek, Syrus left saying he still had a lot to take care of, I made sure to lock the door even though I knew if she wanted Nidia could break the door and shatter the wood into splinters.
But it's good to be on the safe side.
I couldn't fall asleep so I began tracing the tapestry on the wall. After looking at it over and over again trying to maybe get bored,I finally noticed the mismatched pattern on a certain part of the wall, if you didn't look closely you wouldn't notice.
So I got up and walked that part of the wall and knocked on it,it wasn't thick like the other part of the wall.
Meaning there was a hole behind this wall,this was common in the houses that my brother and his friends used to break into. The owners would hide their money in the wall and hid it with a thin layer of cement that they could easily break.
I started feeling the wall around and it finally opened, leading to a dark staircase. I looked down the stairs and the voice in me told me to close the door and go to sleep but thought of finding something interesting moved my legs down those stairs.
It was dark and humid. It felt like no one has been in these walls for such a long time. I relied on my ears and my hands to guide me as I felt around the dark dusty hallway filled with cobwebs.
I could finally see some light pouring through small slits through the wall,I had to squint my eyes just to see.
I gasped at what I saw ,a nake lady hanging from the ceiling horizontal, her hands tied to her ankles and her mouth gagged,she made muffled sounds like she was sobbing. I then noticed the man whose arms wrapped around her thighs pounding in her fiercely,she wasn't sobbing she was moaning,the woman threw her head back and I got a clear view of her face. It was Nidia and the man thrusting into her was Floyd.
"You dare still get jealous of that human Syrus is with, when you are my mate?", He growled. As if noticing my eyes on him he turned to my direction and I gasped taking a step back. I didn't waste a moment in there and ran back the way I came.
