Chapter FORTY SEVEN

"You should stop coming here", Ty said through the phone. Unlike Cain he didn't get executed which I'm really grateful for even though he is going to spend his entire life locked up here,he is being held in some sought of prison for shifters that break the law..
" Then you should stop meeting me each time I come to visit",
" How is little Malkiel?",he warmly asked.
" He is okay",I say and show him a photo of him. He is now six months and has just learnt how to sit.
"Don't push me away,I want to be here for you, please let me. I don't want to leave you alone", I say pleadingly.
He sadly smiled and placed his hand on the glass separating us, we've been through a lot together and now we only have each other.
He had a few bruises,some guys must have roughed him up here, it's sad to see that some wolves are not friendly to hybrids.
I still love him in spite of everything that has happened. When he was arrested,like Cain, the council seized all possessions that I found out he had transferred everything including his jewelry line business.
Syrus came here for some business, lately we've all been busy preparing for his coronation as an elder of the council. He insisted on having me tag along so I came here to visit my brother,the prison was under the building they don't usually allow unauthorized visitors but I'm not ashamed to use my privilege as the mate of an elder and a Luna.
Plus I've gained popularity amongst werewolves because wolves that were hiding family members that had turned rogue came to seek help from us.
All distribution of Vynul had been confiscated but there were still some of it out there but it was getting under control.
I still feel guilty sometimes for the lives that were lost but I don't have to face the resentment of the wolves in our territory because no one knew I'm the one that told Ty how to get into the pack but I am still trying my best to make up for it wherever I can.
After speaking to my brother and handing him the supplies, that included books, photos of Malkiel and I and some toiletries.
I went back to find Syrus who was having a conversation with Mark.
It's not like the prison treats the wolves here badly, it's just that I want him to feel that he is not alone and that he has someone here for him.
"Hey it's good to see you Eden", he says,he is now the head of research here.
" Like I was saying,the wolves that have been rogues for a long time,they are not the same after turning back that is why I feel you should bring Deborah here for more evaluation",
" What do you mean?",
" They tend to speak of voices,voices that tell them to attack others, we've had four cases so far of wolves that attacked their families,you have to bring her",
" But I don't notice anything strange,she even helps out with border patrol",
" Maybe she's good at hiding it and has she said anything about what happened that day when she turned rogue?", Mark asks.
" No she says she only remembers having lunch with Tatiana and it's all she did that day", Syrus says.
" Do you think Tatiana is capable of drugging her?",
"Yes ",I say and recount what Tatiana had once said to me that she has done everything in her power to get rid of any obstacles between her and Syrus.
"If that is the case then we will have to find a way to prove she did it but Tatiana is smart. I'm sure she left no loose ends,but please make sure to keep a strong eye on Deborah. The wolves that were once rogue no longer have control over their wolves so you must bring her even though you feel she doesn't show any strange behavior",
As Syrus and Mark continued to talk I saw Simon and Tatiana's father speaking. So I walked over to them. I never got a chance to thank him for helping me even though I know he hates me.
"Hey Father in-law can I speak to you for a second?", I said ",I don't mean to interrupt",I say after the look they both give me Tatiana's father scoffs and walks away. Did I think he and Tatiana had a hand in Deborah turning rogue? Absolutely.
"What did you just call me!", He angrily says.
" Father in-law?"I saw and looked at my feet.
"Don't call me that,what are you an idiot?", He asks.
" Father don't speak to her like that", Syrus warns.
" Fine and always keep your head up high,a Luna without a backbone, never thought I'd see this", he scoffs.
" Father! Eden let's just go do use speaking to him", Syrus says.
" It's okay Syrus",I say and smile.
" I wanted to say thank you for helping me during the trail",
" I didn't do it for you ,so you can save your thanks",
" And I wanted to tell you that whenever you want to come by and see Malkiel,you are always welcome", I continue and Syrus looks at me confused,we didn't talk about and I know if I brought it up Syrus would outrightly refuse it but he is Malkeil's grandfather I never had one so I want my child to have everything my life missed when growing up and that means having a complete family and growing up in a harmonious environment.
"Fine i wasn't going to let you or anyone else stop me he is my grandchild after all, looking at your character if I leave his upbring to the two of you he may end up a spineless idiot", he mocked, even though he is was acting so arrogant I saw the various emotions in his eyes when he heard me say.
" You know what! Eden let's just go", Syrus says and grabs me by the hand.
I hadn't finished what I came to say so I stopped and turned to him.
" You know Simon if you give Yadira a chance you will be shocked at what she is capable of",I say to him. I know of his favoritism of Syrus over Yadira because he is a man. No wonder the two grew up competing against each other but I know Yadira loves her brother she just wanted to prove to her father that she could achieve just as a man would,if she didn't care about him she wouldn't find an excuse to be next to him and always help even when she says he'll have to pay her back.
When we arrived back home, the place was in chaos , Syrus and I gave each other a knowing look and got out of the car.
"What's going on?", I stopped an Omega that works in the kitchen.
"Ms Deborah is attacking people,Luna",
"Where is she?",
" On the top floor she is trying to get into Mr Collin's and Ms Jill's room,she wants the baby", she continues and I don't take a second to think and bolt to the house.
I walk into the living room and get the shotguns on display.
"Hey I'll take care of this,there is no need for this,she needs our help",
" I know I'm just taking precautions,if she even touches a single hair on Malkeil's head or Jill's she's dead",
" We went upstairs and found her banging her body into the door that was going to break at any moment now. I've tried my best to get close to her, but it's like she deliberately ignores my efforts.
"Deborah! I need you to come down and shift back!", Syrus growled .
She whimpered and ran to the end of the hallway.
"Shift back!"He ordered again. She whimpered some more before shifting. Collin handed her his jacket so she'd cover herself.
"I don't know what happened Syrus, I don't know what came over me", she sobbed " I didn't want to attack Jill I promise",
" Attack Jill or my son? ", I said, still aiming at her." She can't stay here Syrus", I say and look at him. " She has to leave".
"No, please you can't do that to me you're all I have left Syrus",she says grabbing hold of his hand, jealous fueled my soul as my finger danced on the trigger. Collin took the gun from me and flickered my forehead, making me stick my tongue out to him and pout.
"You can't stay , you're not stable, you're a danger to everyone around you and yourself", Collin says.
" Is this because of her?", She says looking at me, "can you bare to really send me away? When I was stuck in madness and darkness I could faintly hear your voice ,I knew you never stopped fighting for me"
" Don't get confused Deborah I did what any friend would",
" Does that mean you no longer have feelings for me?",
" Yes,there is only one woman for me in this lifetime and the next",he says and wraps his arms around me giving me a kiss.
Deborah sadly smiled and let Collin lead her away. Jill only stepped out when Deborah left.
"What happened?",
"I don't know all I did was say Malkiel looks so much like Syrus it wasn't fair because you're the one that carried him for six months,so the next time you get pregnant which I feel is very soon because of how late the two of sleep, and then she suddenly shifted in the kitchen and tried to attack Malkiel from in his high chair",
How late we sleep? Are we that loud? I was so embarrassed because some of the other wolves were still here.
Syrus only chuckled which earned him a glare from him,he shrugged and continued making me want to find a place to hide. Floyd had mentioned that I once spied on him and Nidia when he brought her here for treatment and so we have been trying out new stuff.
"Don't you think it's time we made a little Eden", Syrus said, kissing my neck.
" Stop ,or you'll wake the baby", I say and push him away.
"He's already big ,he can sleep in his room", he said, lifting Malkiel and taking him out of our room. Malkiel was growing really fast. He was seven months old now but looked like a one year old,I feel so bad to see him grow everyday because I still want him to stay as my baby forever.
"Sometimes I feel like you see Malkiel as a love rival", I say as he re-enters our room, already taking his shirt off.
"I just feel he should come in between the time I'm supposed to be with you,he has you all day and at night you should belong to me alone", he says carrying me to bed.
" I'm still upset that you still protected Deborah",
" Eden",he groaned " I thought we've already spoken about this she didn't mean to,she needs help",
" That doesn't change the fact that you still used to go and whisper words of love to her when she was still a rogue",I say and poke his chest.
" What am I supposed to do for you to finally forgive me", he laughs, his hand gently squeezing my breast.
"Tonight I'll lead",I say, trying not to moan as it sucks on my other breast.
"Okay and the elders aloud for you to shift",he says, kissing his way down my belly.
"What? How?"I breathe.
"Well since you already have a recessive gene why not? We can anchor each other's souls,so that will always be together for eternity", He nonchalantly says.
This means I wasn't going to die before seeing Malkiel grow . I couldn't even process this properly because Syrus was distracting me with his ministrations.
