Chapter 17
I took a deep breath while looking at the sky, I was blinded by the sunlight. I feel like my body is ready to wait for the three to wake up.
I looked at the window of the room where they slept last night, they were still sleeping. I'm so tired, how long do people sleep? I am very thankful because creatures like me don't need to sleep that long, they waste their time lying in bed for a long time.
"Are those three planning to wake up?" I asked myself. I peeked out the window again and saw the movement of Bael who fell on the bed, I was exhausted.
I need to go down and find something to eat for three. When I got down from the tree I looked around to see if anyone had seen me, I was very thankful that there was no one in this place. I walked to the nearby market.
I saw the way people looked at me, It's because of the little horn on my head.
"How much is this?" I asked, the woman was surprised by my sudden appearance, she immediately stood up and looked at me.
"Two gold and one silver," she said, I looked at her other merchandise. I will let them cook their food.
"I will buy it," I said then looked at the woman carefully, this is not the right time to take her life back. I took a deep breath and took the three gold pieces from the palace. I gave it to her and then turned around to get the merchandise.
"Just a moment Miss, I'll get your change." I just ignored her. I continued walking back to the small house. When I entered, I saw the woman in charge of that house.
"Good morning Miss, it looks like you just arrived," she said with a smile. I just stared at her then raised my hand.
"Please wake up my friends," I said so she frowned. "I saw you have a kitchen here, we'll just borrow it and then we'll leave," I said then placed six gold coins in front of her, her eyes widened, and immediately looked at me.
"It's too much--"
"Just do my orders," I said then walked towards the kitchen which was on the other side.
I put down the meat I brought and then sat on a chair and waited for them to come. A few minutes later, I first saw Cynrad with his head bowed as he walked toward me. Next was Bael who scratched his back and Pavel who still closed his eyes while holding Bael.
"What's up?" Cynrad asked, Pavel, opened his left eye so our vision was correct, he suddenly straightened up and smiled at me.
"Good morning Ksara, how was your sleep?" he asked, I winced.
"I did not sleep," I said so Bael and Cynrad looked at me.
"Are you a fool?" Bael asked and sat down on a chair.
"My head hurts." Cynrad moaned, Pavel came to me so I looked at him, he smiled and suddenly hugged me causing my eyes to widen and the images appeared in my vision again.
"Good morning." He greeted energetically then released the hug. My body stiffened because of what he did. Stupid!
"Which minion of Satan told you that you can hug me?" I said angrily causing his eyes to widen and move away from me.
"S-sorry, that's how the woman who woke us up earlier greeted us. She hugged us because that's what the citizens here do." He explained so I stood up and slowly approached him, he backed away causing him to lean against the wall and he swallowed when I locked him with my arms.
"The next time you hug me, the hug of death will send you to hell," I said darkly so I could see the fear in his eyes.
"K-Ksara--"
"What is this meat?" I closed my eyes when I remembered that we had friends here. I moved away from Pavel and then looked at our companion who was looking at us.
"You will cook," I said causing their eyes to widen and make noise.
"What?! Are you lucky? We're from--"
"Rule number 2, you will follow my orders, and rule number 3, you will put aside your royalty." I cut off what Bael had to say, causing him to look at me badly.
"One more thing, I watched over you all night, and the next morning I bought meat for you, don't you owe me a favor?" I asked.
"Naturally you will do those things because you are yuniko," Cynrad replied.
"As far as I'm concerned, I'm only going to serve Pavel, there's no problem if I cook his food, as long as he's the only one to eat. He's the only one to eat the meat in front of you." I said so he looked bad at me.
"You watched over us all night?" asked Pavel who was next to me. I did not turn to him.
"Then you need to rest because now the first day we will start traveling, right?" he asked then approached the meat I brought.
"The thing is, we don't know how to cook, we're used to being served ready-made meals," he added and looked at me, I sighed and sat down where I was sitting earlier.
"It's not my problem if you don't know how to cook, I've done my job, it's not my job to cook your food because the kitchen servants do it, I'm just the prince's servant," I said. then closed my eyes.
"I'm going to rest," I said while closing my eyes, even though the truth is that I'm not going to rest.
"You may go to the bedroom so you can rest well?" I heard Pavel ask but I ignored him.
"Don't worry about that yuniko, what we have to worry about is how to cook." I heard Cynrad say.
"That girl earlier." As for Bael, I clenched my fist.
"Right! Let's go to her and let her teach us how to cook." I heard Pavel say.
"I'll just call her," Bael said and I heard his footsteps coming out of the kitchen.
Stupid, as if that woman was going to help them.
They have to work hard and experience what normal people experience.
A few minutes passed when I heard Bael's voice.
"She says she doesn't know how to cook." I grinned inside.
"Huh? It's impossible?" Cynrad asked.
"She said she doesn't know anything when it comes to cooking, another thing is that she has a job." I heard Bael say with a weak voice.
"So what are we going to do?" asked Cynrad, I wanted to see their reactions that's why I kept the eyes of my human body closed while my soul came out of that body.
I laughed when I saw the reaction on the faces of the three of them, they were like children who could do nothing but look at the meat.
"What if we just fry it?" Pavel asked so the two looked at him.
"Do you know how?" asked Bael.
"No, but I sometimes hear from the kitchen staff that only oil is needed to cook the meat," Pavel said so Cynrad stood up and approached the seasonings and lifted a bottle with only oil.
"Oh, here's oil, then what's next?" Cynrad asked and handed Pavel the oil.
"Um, frying pan?" answered Pavel, who Bael immediately handed to him. The two watched Pavel as he put oil in the pan and put the meat in the pan.
"Then?" asked Bael.
"It should be ringing, why isn't it ringing." I laughed when I saw Pavel's troubled and surprised look. Stupid, how can that be cooked without fire?
"Maybe it will ring later?" Cynrad asked.
"Alright, let's wait for it to ring," Pavel said and covered the pan with only pork oil, I laughed while looking at the three of them. fools
I returned to my human body but remained my eyes closed.
"Isn't Ksara struggling with her position?" I heard Pavel ask.
"Leave it alone, the problem we will have is how to make it sound fried," said Bael. I took a deep breath to stop laughing.
A few minutes later they were already fighting.
"I thought it only needed oil to cook it?" Bael.
"Why isn't it ringing yet?" Pavel.
"I'm starving, will it take us another hour?" Cynrad.
"Fools," I said and opened my eyes, I saw that they were all looking at me. "How can that be cooked without fire? Fools." I added that they looked at each other and looked at the griddle in front of them.
"By the way, you need a fire to get warm," Pavel said awkwardly while scratching his back, I saw the annoyance of Bael and Cynrad while Pavel just smiled and started to open the stove and put the pan with oil and meat inside.
Fools.
"Are you awake earlier and you just let us fight here and struggle here?" asked Pavel when he opened the stove.
"Do I look sleepy?" I asked.
"That's right! Why did you just say that you need fire to cook?" Bael said annoyed. I looked at him.
"Have you lost your brain? Do you think that only oil can cook meat? All food that is cooked requires fire, where did you leave your brain?" I asked so they were silent. I stood up and walked away from the kitchen.
"Oi, where are you going?" asked Pavel.
"I'll buy my food," I answered and didn't look back at them. Ignorant nobles.
