Chapter 54

It's dark around, the breeze is cold, the crickets and insects are noisy in the forest where Pavel and I live out of Winsoul.
Now, before the new year, we will escape from the curse that Alada released. We will run away, Pavel will run away with me. We will escape the curse that Pavel and I are afraid of.

"We have to hurry Karma, it's almost twelve o'clock in the morning." Pavel said while holding my hand and walking through the dark forest.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

"Out of town, that's where we'll live and make a family." He said that made me smile because of what he said.

"What's going on?" I asked, Pavel looked at me.

"I do not know." He says. "We've been walking for a while now but we can't see the outside of the forest." He added.

"Aren't someone is playing with us?" I asked so he held my hand tightly.

"We have to go." He said and was about to walk again when someone spoke from behind us.

"Where are you going friend?" We both looked at the speaker. Alada, she was behind us while looking at Pavel. I was right, Alada was playing with us. We were walking a while ago and nothing happened when we walked here in the forest. We can't leave.

"Leave us alone Alada!" Pavel shouted then pulled me closer to him then hugged me.

"Let us get out of town." Pavel added. I heard Alada's laugh, I peeked at Pavel's arm and saw Alada's playful smile.

"Why? Don't you want to experience the curse I gave the town?" asked Alada. I want to speak, but something is stopping me, maybe because when it happened, Karma could do nothing but watch while being scared.

"Get us out of here, please." Pavel said, Alada shook her head.

"No, I won't agree, you have to experience the curse I gave to the people. You are the root and end of it, Pavel, so you should only experience what the people who suffered will experience." Alada said.

"Please Alada--"

"You're being greedy and selfish again. You want to increase the curse I made Pavel?" asked Alada.

"Stop!" I want to shout that but I can only do it in my mind. Alada looked at me then smiled.

"Enjoy." Alada said then suddenly disappeared in front of us. Pavel's tears immediately fell, and he hugged me even tighter.

"Do not let go." Pavel whispered to me. I looked at the watch he was wearing and saw that it was only five minutes before new year. Trembling immediately flowed through my chest, tears welled up in my eyes and hugged Pavel tightly.

"Promise me, that you won't forget me." I said, hearing Pavel's soft sobs.

"Promise." He whispered.

I closed my eyes.

"Why did everything turn out like this Pavel?" I asked as my tears fell. "Why did the story between the two of us turn into such a mess?" I whispered.

"I love you so much, so even if I make a deal with the devil I will do it, just to get you back." He whispered, I felt his kiss on my forehead.

"Pavel..." I called his name.

"My heart will search, and search for you Karma, my heart will still cry out for you." He said then looked at me, I could see Pavel's tears flowing.

"No matter how many times you die in front of me, I will wait for you and never tire of loving you." My tears flowed from what he said.
