Chapter 19

We temporarily stopped walking to rest, under a big tree here in the middle of the road, we thought of resting at least for an hour.

It was surprising because I also felt tired, something that shouldn't have happened to me. I felt that my legs were stiff and my whole body was numb, we had been walking for almost three hours and I insisted that they be brought here on the long way.

"I hope we can just ride the carriage instead of walking this long," Bael complained, he was talking while we were walking. Little by little, I'm going to explode with annoyance because he's like a woman if he can complain.

"The carriage can't pass some roads Bael, you saw earlier, didn't you? A carriage couldn't leave the river when we passed." Pavel said as we stood in front of me.

"Even so, it's tiring. It should and--"

"You shouldn't have come if you're like that," I said coldly causing him to look at me in surprise.

"You've been on the road for a while, do you know how irritating you are? I am too irritated with you. I want to take your tongue out of your mouth just to keep you quiet!" I screamed that scared him even more. I saw him swallow while staring at me.

"K-Ksara..."

"I can't stand the noise you're making, one more noise and I'll take your tongue and throw it to the piranhas!" I screamed angrily causing the surroundings to be quiet. I took a deep breath. Little by little, I calmed down, that's why I saw Cynrad and Pavel looking at me scared while Bael started to cry.

"Why?" I asked as they still didn't take their eyes off me.

Bael pointed at me and then hurried to Pavel's back.

"Monster!" Bael shouted so I was stunned. I looked at Pavel with fear in his eyes as he looked at me.

*"The people, even when they will not change their eyes on us, we are a monster in their eyes."*

I took a step back when I remembered what my father told me.

"Your eyes," Pavel said softly while looking at me. I stopped and looked away.

Damn it! Are my eyes red again? I need to be careful next time, I shouldn't give in to my anger. It's good that they only saw my eyes, when they saw my horn, I'm sure they'll be praying to drive me away.

I looked at them again.

"What are my eyes?" I asked in a tone that I was also afraid of.

"Y-your eyes turned red, your eyes turned red!" Cynrad screamed in fear so I also screamed and clung to Pavel.

"What?! Impossible!" I acted, I closed my eyes and hugged Pavel.

"It's impossible! Say you were just joking!" Pretending to be scared and cry, I said.

"How will my eyes turn red? Am I going to die?!" I asked and hugged Pavel even tighter. I heard Pavel's little laugh so I looked at him, Cynrad and Bael also looked at him.

"What's funny?" I asked with tears in my eyes as I looked at Pavel who was hugging me.

"Maybe we're just tired so what we see is a hallucination." He said then looked at me.

"You can let me go now." My eyes widened and immediately pushed him away from me and stood up straight then turned away from them. It's not solved anymore.

"Maybe," Cynrad said that Bael would immediately fight.

"You next time, don't just complain. Did you think Yuniko was the only one who was annoyed with you? I was also upset with you a while ago because of your noise as if you were gay." Cynrad said annoyed so I smiled.

People can be easily deceived.

"I'm sorry," Bael said like a child.

"Let's just rest, later we will leave again to go to our first destination," Pavel said and turned to me.

"Are you okay?" asked Pavel, I nodded. He handed me water so I took it and drank it then smiled at him.

"I'm not going to thank you, that's not my job." I said making him laugh.

"You were so cute earlier." I was stunned by what he said, I just looked at him which made him laugh even more.

A few minutes passed before we all decided to start walking again, it wasn't too hot anymore, we had a few people walking with us that's why Bael was no longer noisy.

While we were walking, I noticed a man who had been staring at me, I stopped walking while looking at the man, and he looked away and then changed the direction he was walking.

"Are you okay?" I looked at Pavel who also stopped walking while looking at me. I just nodded and started walking again, I felt strange about that man. It seems he knows what I am. Whoever he was, Pavel couldn't see him.

"We have to hurry," I said so they looked at me.

"How much more time will it take for us to reach our first destination?" asked Cynrad.

"We will not walk anymore," I said so they looked at me.

"Are we going to fly?" Bael asked so I looked at him badly.

I looked around and saw a car made of machinery. I approached it and talked to the driver, at first he didn't agree to take us to where we were going, but because I controlled his mind, he didn't do anything.

This is not the right time for us to walk, I'm sure the man I saw just now is following me. That's why we'll just get in the car to get to where we're going.

I looked again at the place where I saw the man, just as our car started and I saw the exit of the man who was following me earlier. I saw how he made the sign of the cross while looking at me.

I was right, he knew what I was.
