Chapter 51

"Mom! Dad! I'm here!" Abiah is smiling as she greeted the two people who were sitting inside an ordinary house here in the town of Winsoul. An old woman is sitting on a rocking chair and the old man is on a plastic chair with a newspaper in his hand.

The two looked to Abiah, and she immediately came to the two and hugged them.

"Mom, Dad, I'm sorry if I left. I was just afraid that I might lose my memories of you that day." Crying with joy said by Abiah. The five of us just stared at it and watched. Bael and Pavel had a smile on their lips as they watched Abiah.

"Mom, Dad. I promise, I won't do that againd and I won't leave you. I'm so sorry that I left then," she said while hugging the two. The saintly woman let go of the hug and wiped her tears.

"Mom, dad. They're my friends. They're Ksara, Lolo Gabriel, Bael, Cynrad and Prince Pavel." Abiah Intoduced us. I just stared at the two then turned my gaze back to Abiah.

"Mom? Dad? Don't you have--"

"Just a moment, dear," said the old woman gently.

"I'm sorry, but. I don't understand and we don't understand why you call us mom and dad? Who are you?" The old woman asked causing the smile to disappear from the lips of Pavel, Bael and Abiah.

Abiah slowly looked at the two. I closed my eyes and bowed. She seems to have forgotten, that a few years have passed since her parents were inside the winsoul and a few times when the new year passed, they will automatically lose their memories of her. I can't bring back the lost memories. I am a destroyer and not a builder. Very strong power will be needed to return the lost memories of the people here in the town.

"W-what?" Abiah's voice trembled when she asked that.

"Are you missing? We can let you stay here at our house." The old man said with a smile then looked at Pavel.

"Your Highness, it's a big deal and my wife and I are delighted to see you so close." The old man said with a smile to Pavel, I looked to Abiah who suddenly sat down in front of the couple, she suddenly wailed loudly like a child robbed of food.

"I-I'm coming home here for you, I-I'm coming home here to be with you, 'Mom,' I'm Abiah, your daughter," She said, the old woman immediately approached her and help her to stand up but Abiah just hugged her.

"I'm sorry, but as far as we know we have no children. We were not blessed with offspring," said the old man.

"Let's leave them for now." Cynrad whispered to me, I looked at him then nodded.

"Pavel." I called, he looked at me."Let's leave them for now," I said, he looked at the three who were talking. He nodded then said goodbye that we were going to leave first, we stayed away from Abiah's house because we thought they would talk and that it would be private. I can already see the top of the palace while we are here in winsoul town. First we stopped at a small restaurant to hang out and wait for Abiah.

The five of us were silent, none of the five of us spoke as if we were dumbfounded by what we saw. So many people stopped to greet Pavel and say hello that it was almost only Pavel who spoke.

"Why don't they remember Abiah?" Bael asked stupidly, I crossed my arms and leaned back in my chair.

"Effect of the curse," answered by Gabriel. "Maybe the curse is gone, but that doesn't mean that the lost memories will also disappear or return," He said. Pavel looked at him.

"Abiah's situation is difficult, it hurts that her parents don't remember her," said Pavel, Cynrad suddenly looked at him.

"Shall we continue to the palace?" asked Cynrad. Pavel looked at him.

"Mm, we'll wait for Abiah first," said Pavel.

"It would be better if we go first," I said causing Pavel to look at me. "Let's give Abiah time and days to be with her parents, she needs to adjust especially to her situation," I said.

"Ksara is right, let's leave her with her parents first and then we'll take her if her situation is okay, we need to give Abiah time," said Cynrad. I heard Bael breathing deeply.

"She's excited to go to the palace with her parents," Bael said then looked at us.

"Come on, let's go to the palace after this is over," said Bael and stood up from his seat, we also stood up then we went out to the dining room where we were hanging out together. We started walk to the big gate of the palace, I looked at Pavel who was quiet now. I suddenly stopped walking and watched them walk to the gate of the palace, I even saw the soldiers salute when they saw Pavel. I heard the loud sound of the trumpet, a symbol that the prince had entered the gate.

I watched the closing of the palace gate but before it was completely closed, I saw Pavel turn around outside the palace, our eyes met so I smiled.

"Ksara--"it was too late before Pavel finished what he had to say. The palace gate was completely closed. I turned and walked towards Abiah's house. When I arrived, I peeked at the door and observed the actions of the three of them. Now they sit next to each other and talk. It seems that Abiah is talking about what she went through when she left winsoul. I even saw the tears of her while trying to smile in front of her parents. I can feel and smell the pain that she feels right now. A smile slowly grew on my lips because of the memories that came back to my mind.

"I'm your friend Ksara!"

"Ksara! where did you go?! we were worried about you!"

"Let's eat!"

"This is Ksara, Lolo Gabriel is my friend."

"She's nice."

"You know, you can tell me stories because I'm your friend."

Friend, it never occurred to me to make her a friend but she considers me a true friend. She was the first person who made me feel that I was not different, that even though she knew I was a demon, she still called me her friend. So, it's time for me to consider her a friend too.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, I could see the black magic wrapped around her parents' body, all I needed was to remove it so that her parents would remember her, but it seemed like I would need a lot of strength to do that.

I started to close my mind and give focus to the two shadows of the old human in front of me, using my power I slowly removed the black magic wrapped around their body, I swallowed when I felt the weakness of my body. I immediately open my eyes when I felt the surroundings moving, but as I open my eyes, everything was normal.

I looked again at the three who were smiling very much, I closed my eyes again then focused again and tried to remove the thing wrapped around their body. Again I felt the weakness of my body but I ignored it, instead I just continued until it gradually left the body of the two adults.

I strengthened my strength even more to make that black disappear completely, until the black wrapped around their bodies gradually disappeared. I slowly lost my power. I smiled and slowly opened my eyes, but when I opened my eyes, my vision was spinning.

"Abijah, my Child." I heard the old woman call Abiah, I leaned against their door and peered at them. I saw Abiah's surprised reaction as she looked at her mother.

"Abiah you came back." The old man shed tears and hugged Abiah who was still surprised by what happened.

"W-what's going on?" she asked, I saw her tears fall. I closed my eyes as my vision suddenly blurred. I grabbed my head and shook my head and tried to regain my normal vision.

"M-mom, do you remember me?" Abiah asked crying and stammering.

"H-How?" Abiah asked in shock. I suddenly let go of the grip on the door causing me to sit up and make a loud noise. I bowed and shook my head then looked at the three who were now looking at me.

"K-Ksara!" Abiah immediately ran to me and grabbed my head.

"Your nose and... eyes are bleeding," she said making me smile.

"It's nothing," I said making her frown.

"I'm going back to the palace," I said and forced myself to stand up.

"Pavel is telling you to obey--"I couldn't finish what I was going to say as my vision gradually darkened and my body lost strength.

I stopped when I felt that my human body's heart stopped beating, I looked at my hand that was slowly turning to ash so I was nervous and scared. No, not yet, I'm going back to the palace. I will come back to Pavel.
