Chapter 25

I rolled my eyes and raised my eyebrows to look at the three who were laughing while they were talking about me. Reprimands. What creature in this world would use its tongue to reach its nose? Those who are deprived of intelligence.

"If it's stupidity, you're in the lead," I said then take a deep breath. We spent one day at the place where we stopped last so that I could rest, tomorrow morning we will continue walking again.

I don't feel any pain, Those three stupid humans are just picky and overreacted.

"It's a joke Yuniko, you're taking it too seriously," Bael said while laughing.

"I wasn't informed that it was funny." I then said he rolled his eyes towards me.

"Your future husband will be poor, he can't joke with you." He said again so I laughed.

"I have no intention of getting married, it was just a headache," I said so the three of them raised their eyebrows and ranted at me at the same time.

"What's wrong with your head?"

"Why did we feel that?"

"Aren't you going to get married?"

I struggled and glared at them.

"Yes, because firstly, you're just going to make girls feel good, secondly, you're going to get a lot of headaches because you're just going to be a problem and thirdly--"

"We also have no intention of getting married because you girls are noisy!" They said at the same time so my eyebrows arched and laughed, they stopped suddenly while looking at me.

"What's so funny?" Pavel asked with a frown.

"I'm not asking if you're going to get married, I don't care about you either," I said while laughing.

"I didn't ask blah blah blah, that's why no one likes you because you're stubborn and grumpy," Bael said so I laughed even more.

"No one will like you because you are so sensitive and act like a woman as if you look good." I tease you.

"Oh, Cynrad! Protect me from this stubborn woman."

"She's right," Cynrad said as Pavel and I both laughed, Bael glared at Cynrad and then crossed his arms.

"Fake friends," Bael whispered making us laugh even more.

A few minutes passed and there was teasing and teasing between the four of us until Pavel spoke which make me quiet.

"This is the first time I've seen Ksara laugh." He said the reason for our two companions to look at me. I looked away and the smile slowly disappeared from my lips.

"You look better when you laugh." Suddenly Pavel said while looking at me with a smile on his face, I don't know why my cheeks got hot, I even looked away from him and coughed.

Awkward.

"How are you feeling?" Cynrad suddenly asked, I looked at him, he had his arms crossed and was looking at me seriously with his left eyebrow raised.

"I said, nothing hurts me," I said then looked away because of Conrad's strange look at me.

What's going on? Shouldn't I be like this? Why is this happening to me?
I shouldn't laugh too much at their useless jokes and I shouldn't talk too much. I should have scolded them too.

Why am I counted? Why did my cheeks feel hot earlier? Why am I avoiding Cynrad?

"It's too late at night, we need to rest, we'll be early tomorrow," I said coldly then lay down on a log and turned my back on them.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes. The people are good at getting along but don't know how to be curious about who to be with.

"Maybe you'll catch a cold again." I stiffened when Cynrad covered me with a blanket so I looked at him, his face was serious while looking at me, and adjusting the blanket on my body, I swallowed and looked away again.

What does this person do? Why did I avoid him?

"Wake us up when you feel pain, go to sleep." He said then turned his back on me. I sat down and looked at him, he walked towards the log he was lying on while Pavel and Bael were talking.

"Goodnight, Ksara." My eyes widened and I looked away when he turned to me and smiled, I turned again and lay down on the log I was lying on.

I took a deep breath and closed my eyes.

It's not good anymore, is it like this when someone is sick? Does it count? Is this what they call fever?

A few hours passed, and I was sure that the three of them were already asleep. I slowly sat up and peeked at the three, I saw Pavel and Bael were covered in blankets while Cynrad was curled up again.

I took a deep breath and walked closer to him while holding the blanket, I slowly placed it on his body and then took a deep breath.

"Hmm, are you getting closer to them?" I looked behind me when I heard a familiar voice.

There was no one there the surroundings were dark and foggy and only the sound of crickets could be heard.

"Have they got your heart, my sister?" From the dark side, I slowly saw Alada walking closer while smiling at me. Her tail seemed to have a life of its moving through the air.

"What are you doing here?" I asked, she had her arms crossed while one of her tails was stuck with someone's hand.

"Visiting my sister?" He answered the question and then laughed.

"How was the mission? Did you do it?" She asked, I didn't answer her, instead I walked away from Cynrad's place, she followed me that's why I faced her.

"I have bigger problems than the mission," I said, she suddenly disappeared in front of me and went to my side.

"Really? What is that?" she asked but it was obvious in her voice that she was not interested, when did a demon like her become interested?

"Tomorrow, we're going to church, you know people like us can't be in that place, I have to get through the church unharmed," I said so she looked at me and laughed.

I was devastated, what else could I expect from this creature but laughter? She never had a sensible answer.

"Ksara, Ksara, Ksara." She laughed and patted my shoulder, I saw the hair on my body rise.

"Why do you focus on that church, your mission is to make that man evil." She said then pointed to Pavel, I looked at Pavel who was fast asleep. I swallowed hard when I saw the boy who was behind him and was hiding.

"From the beginning, that was your mission, so why do you make people's problems worse?" she asked then grabbed my chin and violently made me face her.

"Do you feel sorry for them? Are you getting close to the three? Maybe you can't do the mission Ksara." She said it was because I pushed her away from me, she even laughed when I did that.

"My sister's heart softens for the people." She said looking at me meaningfully. I didn't move, softening? I do not know.

"You came here on a mission, Ksara, not to help lowly creatures." She said, touching a strand of my hair.

"Tell me, do you intend to help that person?" She asked while holding my hair. I looked at her and didn't move, causing her to pull my hair with all her strength and violently touch my cheek.

"I'll just remind you, my dear sister, you're a demon, you don't fit in this place so finish your mission." She whispered in my ear, I felt her smile.

"Always keep it in your mind, that at any time, in the eyes of the people. We are evil, we have no mercy and we are monsters. We are a plague to them, so hurry up and finish your mission before they find out what you are. ." she said and licked my cheek.

"Anger, Ksara, Anger is what you should feel for them, not pity. You should feel nothing but anger. Because they are the reason we become bad, do you understand?" she asked and looked at me, I just nodded. I saw a smile on her lips before she disappeared in front of me.

"I'll watch your behavior, my dear sister, you're welcome." That was the last thing she said before she completely disappeared in front of me.

I looked at the three of them.

"They are the reason we become evil."

I bent my palm while looking at the three.
I just got too close to them, Alada was right. I have to distance myself from them and do what I have to do.

In the end, the four of us will just leave each other, so there's no point in me getting along well with them.
