Chapter 32

"Come in." The Holy woman said with a smile while holding the door of the house where we will stay while we are here in the City.

"I'm sorry, this is the only house I know that we can use for free while we're here, some houses here in the city are worth a hundred gold or more." This said, when we got inside I looked around, I was immediately shocked to see a saint in the doorway, hanging and facing me. I looked at the holy woman so badly that she looked at me and scratched herself then smilingly walked closer to that saint then took it and hid it somewhere.

I took a deep breath and started walking everywhere to observe the whole house.

It was just the right size, with one bedroom with a large bed, a small kitchen, and a small kitchen sink. It doesn't have a second floor and the living room is just the right size. It fits the five of us. The holy woman returned after she had hidden that figurine. She smiled at me and then looked at the three.

"By the way, what do you want to eat? I know how to cook a lot." She said this causing the three to look at her as if she were a saint who had come down from heaven, I was in agony.

"REALLY?" The three asked happily, the saintly lady nodded.

I walked away from them, entered the room, and sat on the bed. That's the only time I felt tired in my entire life as a person. I laid my body on the bed and looked at the ceiling.

I already have so many problems, and this holy woman added to them. She was determined to get home to her family. Why, can't she walk alone in the forest back to town? She was able to leave the town alone and then she was unable to return alone. Humans are very complicated.

I closed my eyes to rest, but I immediately opened them when I remembered what the holy woman said to me.

"The town has a curse..... and it's your fault why I can't go home to us even though I want to go home."

What curse is there in the town? I don't seem to have noticed anything unusual in that town since I first set foot in that place, everything is almost normal so what curse is that holy woman saying?

I also remembered she repeated the mention of 'forgotten.' she said several times that she wanted to go home without losing her memories. What did she want to say about that? It is impossible that when you go out of town you will lose your memories because until now the memories of the four of us are still fine.

"It's so good to lie down!" I turned to the man who suddenly lay down next to me, Pavel who had closed his eyes while lying next to me. I sat down and looked at him intently.

"Why are you here?" I asked irritably so he looked at me and laughed.

"Maybe because I want to lie down?" He answered with a laugh so I looked at him badly.

"I want to be alone so get out of here," I said that making him laugh even more. I raised an eyebrow at him. What's so funny?

"There is only one room here, so you have no choice if I come here to lie down even if you want to be alone." He said, I glared at him but he just closed his eyes again.

"I'll just leave," I said softly and was about to stand up when he suddenly held my hand causing me to see some images in my vision again he suddenly pulled me closer to him causing me to lie down next to him.

His eyes remained closed as he hugged me.

"Just stay here first." He said weakly causing me to stop. "Those three out there are too messy, you wouldn't want to hang out with them." He added. Suddenly the images disappeared from my vision.

"You're still wearing the purse I gave you." He said and suddenly opened his eyes causing our eyes to meet, I immediately looked away and then snatched my hand from his grip.

"As if I had a choice." I just said that even though the truth is that one of the things I treasure the most is what he gave me. It was the first time I received a gift from people so I kept it even though it didn't do much good.

"Don't ever take that thing away." He said that's why I looked at him, I wanted to scold him but I chose to keep quiet, I kept looking at him. Why can't I think of a reason or way to do my mission right?

"Have you ever thought of doing something bad in your life?" I suddenly asked, he kept looking at me and laughed softly.

"Not yet." He said then closed his eyes. "Why, do you want me to do something bad?" Yes, that's what I wanted to answer him. But I didn't answer his question, I just watched him while he closed his eyes "Just tell me if you want me to do something bad for you." He said and suddenly grabbed my left hand causing me to once again see the images I always see every time our skins touch.

"Do you know a girl named Karma?" Suddenly, I asked, he open his eyes and looked at me.

"Karma? No, that's the first time I've heard that name." He said that's why I was quiet. It was obvious that he was telling the truth because I did not smell that his sin had increased.

If he doesn't know Karma, why do I see in the images and listen to them that he always tells Karma that he loves her?

"Why? Are you going to let her into the palace as a yuniko?" He asked, I shook my head then took my hand from his grip then looked at the ceiling, and took a deep breath.

We had a long silence, I could feel his gaze on me but I ignored it.

"Ksara." He suddenly called that's why I turned to him, he smiled at me. "Your promise to me, don't break it. Please." He said it so seriously that I was stunned. Promise? I looked away when I remembered how we had to make a promise to each other that I would not leave him no matter what.

"What's on your mind? I'm not leaving." I said softly even though the truth is that in the end, I will also leave and return to the world where I belong. People are too emotional, about what they think.

"Nothing, I feel like you're going to leave me." He said that's why I looked at him. I laughed and looked at the ceiling again.

"You people, you have to accept the fact that someone will come into your life and eventually leave you too," I said then took a deep breath. "The bitter reality must be accepted, not everyone who comes will stay by your side forever," I said softly, he was silent that's why I looked at him. I can see the sadness in his eyes.

"Does this mean you will leave me too?" He asked, I stared into his eyes, I could feel his emotions absorbing me.

"No," I answered briefly and smiled at him. "Don't be dramatic," I said and shook my head while lying down.

"Ksara...." he called again so I looked at him again.

"There's... something I want to tell you." He said so I raised my eyebrows while looking at him.

"Let's go eat." Pavel and I looked at the bedroom door together, Cynrad was standing there with no emotion on his face, I sat down and then stood up. I looked at Pavel again.

"What are you going to say again?" I asked, he smiled and sat on the bed then shook his head. "I forgot, let's eat." He said that's why I was tired and went first to the kitchen where he and Bael were setting the table.

"You sit here Yuniko," Bael said and pointed to a chair, I approached it and automatically raised my eyebrows.

"What is it for?" I asked when I saw a red rose next to the plate, they both looked at me.

"Ah there, Cyn took that--"

"That's design." I turned to the one who spoke behind me, I saw Cynrad with no emotion on his face, he grabbed the flower from me and then raised his eyebrows at me.

"I was going to sit down, but you're already there, so go ahead and sit down." He said coldly and came to the trash can then I saw him throw away the flower.

"Huh? I thought I should tell Yuniko that she's going to--"

"Let's eat, I'm really hungry." The saintly woman said then sat in front of me.
