Chapter 39

"I really think that you three are reincarnated." Groin of the Holy woman named Abiah, I breathed a sigh of relief because of what she did. Bael and Pavel are forcing me to remove the small horn, but I can't do that because this horn is real and not a toy.

"I also feel that it's a case of cheating. Why was I your brother in the past life?" Bael said to Cynrad, causing Cynrad to get upset.

"As if I had a choice then, it's good now and not anymore." Cynrad said to Bael's annoyance.

"Are you Ksara too, do you also feel that you are reincarnated?" Pavel suddenly asked me, I looked at him and I could see the joy in his eyes.

"No." My short answer made him pout.

"But you look like Karma, so you must be reincarnated like us." After saying this, I looked at the old man named Gabriel, he seemed to understand what I was looking at, so he looked at Pavel and smiled.

"Prince Pavel, listen." This aroused the attention of the three. "Now that I've talked about the curse of the town, I'll tell you the reason why I don't want to come." He said and took a deep breath.

"I have been alive for more than two hundred years, but my memory is still sharp and the events of my youth are still vivid in my mind. When I went back to town with you, probably as soon as I set foot on the town's barrier all my memories are erased." He said.

"That's my reason as well." Abiah interjected so they turned their attention to her.

"I tried to step on the barrier of the town but I immediately felt the presence of the curse, I don't want to lose all the memories I had when I left the town." It added. There was a long silence between the six of us.

"If that's the case... You really won't come with us?" asked Pavel and I could feel the sadness here.

"I can come, but first the curse must be lifted." The old man said.

"But how can we remove the curse if a demon did it?" asked Pavel, Gabriel suddenly looked at me so I narrowed my eyes at him. He immediately looked away then took a deep breath.

"I can't do anything but leave it here, I don't want to lose my memory." He said so Pavel took a deep breath and leaned back in his seat.

I just watched them, but I wanted to say something and say that I could talk to my sister about that curse but I couldn't because I knew that Pavel would hate me when he found out what I really am.

Based on his tone earlier, he was angry with people like me, so I chose to remain silent rather than engage in their conversation.

I don't want.... He will hate me.

I was stunned because it suddenly came to my mind, I don't want him to hate me? I looked at Pavel who was looking at the ceiling.
Why suddenly I don't want him to hate me.

"Maybe I'll just leave it here." Suddenly the saintly woman said and then smiled bitterly at me.

"I'm afraid to go along and lose my memory." She said then took a deep breath.

"Then... I didn't want to be king either." Pavel said suddenly, making me look at him.

"What? But aren't you excited to be king?" Bael asked. Pavel laughed then shook his head.

"After what I learned, I seem to have lost hope of becoming king. As for my people, they always forget who their king is." He said then swallowed.

"Does that mean you will agree that grandfather will not come with us?" Cynrad asked, Pavel immediately nodded.

"Yes, then I also thought that we shouldn't go home, let's use up the two months we've been given here to have fun." Pavel said and laughed.

"After all, it's only three months from now that it will be a new year, I'm not ready to forget you without making good memories." Pavel said then looked at me.

"I don't want to forget." He said while looking at me, I looked away and then stood up.

"Can I talk to you, Gabriel?" I asked so he looked at me, he nodded and stood up as well. I was the first to walk away from the four, we ended up behind his house.

"You want him to be king, right?" he asked suddenly, making me look at him. He laughed.

"I want him to be bad." I said that made him laugh even more.

"Really? Why haven't you started making him bad if that's what you want?" he asked so I glared at him.

"From what I can see, you don't want to hurt him or make him feel bad." He said then looked at the sky.

"I'm a demon, what I do is do bad things." I said coldly.

"Really?" he asked then looked at me. He looked at my face then laughed.

"Little by little I'm getting the hang of things." He said then took a deep breath. "Why don't you go to them and ask them what you really are?" he asked

I stared at him.

"What are you saying? I'm probably a demon like them, I'm a mortal enemy of angels and my obligation--"

"You are just an act of dark negotiation." He said so I was stunned.

"You're still a human being with emotions." He added then laughed. "When I first saw you, I thought you were an evil demon who stole someone's body." He says. "But as time went on, I realized little by little, based on the emotions you show. You just act according to what they taught." He said causing my forehead to frown.

"Are you judging my character?" I asked, he laughed then crossed his arms.

"If you want him to be king, help him. Only you can help him." He said then smiled at me, a smile that was true. "And only you can help yourself, Karma."

My body automatically stiffened when he mentioned the name, I felt like my heart stopped beating.

"I-I don't want to... Die... Please." A smile escaped the woman in front of me.

"You won't die, I still need you." When she said that, she blew my eye causing me to lose consciousness.

"I still need you.... Ksara."

I slowly bent my palm when I saw some of those images in my brain, my jaw tensed then I turned away from the sign.

"Where are you going?" he asked so I was stunned, I looked to my side then turned my gaze back in front of me. From where I was standing, I saw Pavel looking dumbfounded as he looked at the ceiling.

"In a judas." I said coldly then disappeared in front of him.
