Chapter 35
The holy woman and I arrived in front of a simple and small house. My eyebrows immediately raised when I saw the cross hanging in front of the house's door, as well as the antidotes to evil spirits hanging in the corner of this house.
"It's not obvious that the people who live here have bad feelings for people like me," I said so the holy woman put her hand on her head and laughed suspiciously.
"I told you, so we should go tomorrow because of the hanging cross." She said that's why I looked at her, she just looked away.
"Call him," I ordered so her lips parted and she hesitantly obeyed me.
"B-but--"
"Call him," I said again making her sigh, and came to the door of the house and knocked.
"Grandpa Gabriel." She called me so I closed my eyes, and it's also a holy name. Pest avid fans of biblical names.
"Grandpa? Grandpa Gabriel, Grandpa Gabriel--"
"What the--- in the name of the father, the son, and the--"
"No grandfather, don't, please."
I immediately sat down and writhed in pain when the water thrown by that fucking old man hit me. It's just that It wants me to be kicked out of my own body.
"You are protecting an evil creature, leave now and we will retrieve your friend's body." He says. I laughed to myself, what else can I expect from humans? That's what they say about us.
"Grandpa, she's my friend, please calm down."
"This demon is your friend?" He asked why this time I looked at him, there was no sign of fear on his face so I smiled.
That's good, I like people who aren't afraid of me. I grinned and was about to attack when the saintly and calm woman stopped me.
"Please, stop yourself. We are here to find out what the curse that is covering the town is." She said this so I looked at her and pushed her away from me then stood up straight, she looked again in the direction of the old man who was holding that cross.
"Grandpa Gabriel, listen to me first." She said and approached the old man.
"It's bad to be friends with demons, what did you do? It's like you rejected someone who could do better." He said this to a holy woman so I laughed.
"Grandpa, I need her." She said so I looked at them both.
"No one will seriously make friends with people like us, they just need us so they come closer to us even though they are doing what they do violently."
I laughed as I remembered what Alada told me, she was right. This girl, needed something from me so she befriended me. But if she doesn't need anything I'm sure she'll hate me too.
"She's my only key to getting back to town without losing my memories." She said this so the old man looked at me, I kept a cold look at the two.
"We didn't come here to scare or cause trouble, she just wanted to know the curse that surrounds the town." This made the old man laugh.
"Know the curse? Why, doesn't she know the curse her sister made?" I was stunned by what the old man said. Made by my sister?
"Which one of them?" I asked, The old man looked at the holy woman and it was as if they were talking with their eyes.
"It's too dangerous if we talk outside here." He said this and raised my eyebrows.
"Will you let us in?" I ask.
"If you have no ill will against me you will not be afraid to come inside." He said so I looked at him.
"Are you stupid? I'm not welcome in your house because of the contraceptives on the sides." I said so he laughed and went inside. I looked at the saintly woman but she just shook her hand.
"Can we try to go in? Come on." She said that's why I glared at her even more.
"You don't understand that it's hard for me to get into places with crosses," I said.
"So try it, if you're not looking for trouble why don't you want to come in?" We looked at the window, my gaze was sharp at the old man then I looked back at the saintly woman who had been swallowed. Stepping my foot into the floor of the old avid angel fan, I immediately felt a strange presence enveloping the place. The old man's distaste for people like me and the Patrons scattered around.
"Push me," I told the saintly woman that she was surprised but immediately obeyed. A strong push was made by the saintly woman to allow me to enter the old man's house, I felt the heat of my body but I ignored it. The thing that I focused on was the old uniform hanging on the wall.
"Sit down." The old man said so my attention turned to him,
I felt that the holy woman had already entered and sat on the sofa first, I followed and sat on a sofa.
The old man just looked at me as if he was amazed that I was able to enter his house without being hurt or injured. Dumbass, I was hurt not just injured.
"What are you saying my sister did? Which one of them?" I asked, the old man took a deep breath and then closed his eyes as if praying, I felt a strange presence that enveloped the two. What did this old man do?
"I need to pray for protection for people like you." He said opening his eyes, I laughed.
"You're just wasting a few seconds of our stay here, just tell me the answer to my question after, I leave this useless house," I said, he looked at me for a moment as if he was amazed at my actions.
What kind of people will I witness now?
"Are you sure you don't know anything about the curse?" This question makes me hard.
"Does it look like I'm going to enter this ugly house just to pretend I don't know anything?" I said angrily.
"You deceitful demons."
"And you foolish people are deceiving," I said, he grinned.
"Alada." I stared at him when he briefly mentioned my sister's name.
"Alada is the name of the demon who cursed the town." He said and smiled bitterly at me.
"How bad is that curse for us to go inside this house?" I said irritated.
"K-Ksara I think we should listen to him first." Abiah cut me off so I glared at her as she called my name.
