Chapter 37

Two hundred and seventy-six years have passed since the fifteenth king of Winsoul sold his daughter, Karma, to a demon to become king.
The woman named Karma was scheduled to die on the fifth full moon but due to Pavel's love for Karma, Pavel made a deal with a demon named Alada to lose the agreement between Karma's father and the demon he talked to. But instead of that happening, everything got worse, because the demon that Pavel talked to felt jealous of Karma, causing the demon Alada to curse the entire town of Winsoul that every time the new year comes, people living inside of the town will lose their memory. Everyone who lives inside the town and the only thing that will remember is their families.

I can't believe what I discovered last night. Karma, that's the name of the girl I always see whenever Pavel and I touch me or our skin meet. I once saw her picture in the basement of the palace. That girl looks exactly like me the only difference is she has no horns and me...

I held my little horn and sighed.

I heard the name Bael and Cynrad once when I touched that picture, is it possible that Bael and Cynrad are also connected to Karma?

"Are you still thinking about Lolo Gabriel's story?" I looked up and saw the Holy Lady looking at me while holding a glass.

"Good morning, you didn't sleep well." She said then sat in front of me.

I watched her first before speaking.

"The girl named Karma..." I said then looked away. "....Every time Pavel touches me, I see it and hear some of the things they talk about with Pavel who is with her," I said making her eyes widen, and put the glass she was holding in a corner.

"Really?" She said stupidly and start thinking.

"I thought that girl was part of Pavel's memories, that's why, one day I asked him if he knew Karma, but he said no," I said so she looked again.

"You might be reincarnated." She said so I frowned at what she said.

"Rein-- what?" I asked confusedly, she sat in her chair and looked at me bravely.

"Reincarnate, that's when you come back to life. For example, I died in a war and then a few hundred years later I came back to life but in a new person." She said that made me laugh.

"I got what you wanted to say," I said shaking my head. "I've been alive for hundreds of years and I haven't died yet so that can't happen to me," I said that's why she pouted.

"Maybe it's Pavel, maybe he's the one who reincarnated." She said then took her glass from the table next to where she was sitting. "But where's Karma? It's also impossible that you're only seeing Pavel's past life every time he touched you." She said that's why I went silent.

"That can't happen," I said softly so she was quiet. "We creations of darkness cannot see what happened in the past, what we can see is what will happen in the future, but we can only count the number of that in our fingers," I said looking at her.

"Why do you see Pavel's past?" She said then frowning.

"My head just hurts from the problems of you people," I said closing my eyes. "Wake up the three and tell them we're leaving, we're going back to town with that old man," I said, I heard her coughing so I opened my eyes.

"What? Why would Lolo Gabriel come?" She asked.

"Probably because he is what Pavel is looking for to make him king." My simple answer caused her to stand up while looking at me in shock.

"WHAT DID YOU SAY?! PAVEL NEEDS GRANDFATHER GABRIEL TO BE KING?!" She asked in surprise so I closed my eyes in anger.

"Keep your voice down, little girl," I said. Abiah came to me and suddenly held my hand as if she were begging.

"Please talk, take back what you said." She said so I looked at her irritated.

"What happened to you?" I said annoyed, I saw her tears fall.

"From the beginning, I was with the prince and people from the palace." She said it like a child so I rolled my eyes. "I thought you were just ordinary creatures so sometimes I hit Pavel in his head, Turns out he will be the seventeenth king of winsoul." She said she was crying so I laughed.

"Who the hell told you to hit him?" I asked laughingly.

"I can't help it, Ksara, tell me you were just joking." I rolled my eyes.

"Can you please not call me by my name, we are not close," I said but she looked like a child who was rolling on the floor.

"Good morning what--"

"MAJESTY!" Crying she said to Pavel welcoming him as she left the room.

"Forgive me for my foolishness to hit you and give orders." She said then knelt in front of Pavel, I laughed when I saw Pavel's lips parted while still sinking into his brain why is Abiah acting this weird?

"Huh?" Pavel asked confusedly.

"Just say, you forgive me!" The holy woman said so Pavel looked at me confused then looked back at the holy woman.

"I forgive you?" He said so the holy woman suddenly stood up and put her arms around Pavel.

"Great, don't sentence me to death when we return to town." The saintly woman said to Pavel who was confused.

"What's going on?" Pavel asked, I crossed my arms and leaned back in my seat.

"Fix your stuff, we're going back to town," I said so Pavel frowned even more.

"Huh? Well, we haven't even seen--"

"We saw him last night while you were unconscious, we even went to their house and--" I immediately silenced Abiah using my power.

"Have you seen it?" Pavel asked and looked at me, I nodded in response so his eyes widened and he immediately came to me.

"Really? how?" He asked, I struggled.

"I'm too lazy to talk, just do what I tell you," I told him so he immediately stood up straight with a smile on his face.

"Roger this." He said and immediately ran into the room to wake up the two idiots with him.
