It's been a few weeks since the meeting at the palace. Having heard the news of Liam's betrothal and his rude comment to me, I decided it's time to move on and learn more about my heritage.

That way whatever feelings I have for the Alpha King stays deep under until I'm ready to strike.

“Does anyone know his actual name?” I asked Trish as we walked towards the waterfall for another learning session.

“Who?” She asked.

“The Alpha King,” j said.

“The Highest Alpha King,” she corrected me, “you have to be careful Bri, there are eyes everywhere you know that now,” she said and I sighed.

“I thought all of this was going to be fun,” I said to her.

“Fun?” She chuckled, “we are supernatural beings, yes we might have fun but we are also primal, violence is our nature as well,” she said.

“I have never been a violent person,” I said to myself.

“That's because you didn't have to. When you need to, you will be,” she said and got into the water.

“So what's the deal with Ethan?” I asked her, she has been avoiding the question for weeks but right now she can't.

“I don't want to talk about it,” she said and I rolled my eyes.

“You have to talk about it, there is no place for you to go,” I said to her.

She sighed, “I feel a connection to him and I think he does too,” she said and I chuckled.

“Can you just speak plainly,” I said to her.

She scoffed, “alright, he is my mate,” she blushed.

“So why aren't you together?” I asked.

“He is the enemy, Brianna. Do you want me to be stuck in the middle?” She asked, sadly.

“You keep avoiding him because of me,” I said and she gasped.

“No, Brianna. It's just like you not wanting to have anything to do with Liam,” she said.

“That's because he is engaged, this Ethan guy isn't,” I said to her.

“Yeah, he is also a Playboy. I can't have my heart broken,” She said, “not when we need to be focused a hundred percent,”

“Yeah,” I whispered.

“Okay, today we are going to do something different,” she quickly changed the topic.

“You have to lift the water with your mind,” she said and I laughed.

“That's not possible,” I said and she demonstrated.

She gave the water a huge stare and all of a sudden some particles came out of it. They formed a bubble, then a sharp pyramid.

The pyramid charged towards one of the trees surrounding us and stuck in the middle.

“Show off,” I said to her and she smiled.

“Now, your turn,” she said and I inhaled deeply.

I stared at the water but nothing seemed to be happening, “you are tense, tell your mind what you want to do,” she said.

“Okay,” I exhaled, I stared at the water for a while and suddenly a hole formed in the middle of the stream.

“Easy,” Trish said, “ease your mind a little,” I did exactly what she told me and the hole closed. A big bubble came out of the water, it was larger than Trish's.

I made it turn into a pyramid shape, “now strike!” She yelled and I struck the tree with my pyramid.

I exhaled out and held my chest, “what was that?” I asked, referring to the hole I created.

“You are a very powerful werewitch,” she said, “you just need to get the handle of it,”

“So you mean I can create a tsunami?” I asked her and she nodded, “a tornado?” I asked and she nodded still.

“I could destroy the world,” I whispered.

“No,” she swam closer to me and held me, “you are not going to destroy the world, you are going to save it from any threats,” she said to me.

“What if that's why the king wants me dead,” I said to her.

“He only wants you dead to steal your powers and use it for himself,” she said and I nodded.

She placed her hands on my shoulder and I felt a relief that I didn't know I needed.

“What was that?” I asked her.

“My own little painkiller,” she said and I chuckled, “let's pick this up later, you have some duchess work to do,” she said and we walked into the mansion.

We were greeted by a small number of people outside the mansion.

“Lady Glide, what brings you here?” Trish asked a woman who looked like she was in her forties.

“I have brought some news for the duchess,” she said and Trish signaled for me to come forward.

“Your grace,” Trish said and I looked at her, surprised she was being formal, “this is Lady Gyde,” she introduced her, “the head of the Glidegate family,”

“Your grace,” Lady Gyde bowed, along with the people with her.

“What brings you here, Lady Gyde?” I asked her.

“It will only be better if we show it to you, your grace,” she said and I looked at Trisha.

“Isn't there a way to explain this, Lady Gyde?” Trisha asked.

“I'm sorry, but no, My Lady,” she said to Trisha. They all refer to her as my lady because after my family, hers is the next in rank and the other royal families follow then normal citizens.

“It's alright Trisha,” I said, “lead the way, Lady Gyde,”

We got into the vehicles already waiting and took a long drive.

I felt like I was going sightseeing but it stopped immediately when I saw a burning field.

“Goddess,” Trisha whispered.

“Did anyone get hurt?” I asked

“No, your grace,” Lady Gyde said.

“Your grace, this is the second largest planting field we have,” Trish said to me, “Lady Gyde and her family owns it,”

“The largest?” I asked.

“Belongs to your family,” she said.

“Put it under heavy security,” I said to her.

“We are supposed to be sending some of the guards to the palace,” she said.

“They will have to wait, Trisha. Do it now!” I said firmly and she walked away.

“The fire hasn't stopped burning since it began,” Lady Gyde said behind me.

Suddenly I got an idea, a way to welcome myself into this world. Everyone might think I am the weak sister my mother created but I have the chance to show them I am not, “is there a stream nearby?” I asked.

“Of course, your grace. That's how we plant,” she said.

“Show it to me!” I ordered and I was led to the stream.

It wasn't as huge as the one back home but it will be enough.

I stood in front of it and took deep breaths, “Goddess, I might not believe in you but these people do, help me to lead and help them right now,” I prayed silently, I don't know if it would work.

With my hands and my mind, I raised a great amount of water and led them to the burning field. I had to keep the water steady as I moved.

I got to the field and released the water on it and the fire went off immediately. There were cheers and laughter from everyone.

“Look, the plants didn't burn!” Someone yelled and everyone raced to the field.

“Your grace, it is true,” Lady Gyde said and bowed down. Everyone seeing her, did the same. I looked at Trisha who already had a smile on her face as she walked towards me.

“Now, they see you,” she said. They all stood up and went back to walk.

Someone handed something to Lady Gyde and her countenance changed.

She walked towards me with it, “your grace, I'm so sorry,” she said and handed it to me.

It was a placard with words written on it, “go back to where you are from,” it read.
