LIAM

I walked out of Brianna's tent. I turned to Akire and nodded at her. She knew what that meant without me saying a word.

Some people think Akire could pass for a man. That was what made her a good spy and made me question my taste in women at one point in my life.

I headed to the secret meeting point, Mason, Ethan and myself had picked to discuss our final strategy and say our farewell.

I noticed some movement behind the tree in front of me and Ethan walked out of it. We saw Mason walking towards us from the rear end.

“Is everything and everyone in place?” I asked Mason.

“Yes, once it is nightfall everyone we will be in position and we will be waiting for your signal,” he said and I nodded.

“We should get there by nightfall and then we will win this war,” I said, fiercely.

We hugged each, saying our farewell. This is the first time the three of us won't be in a battle together but we got this.

“Take care of Layla,” Mason whispered in my ear. I smiled, I knew something was going on between.

“I will do the same for Brianna,” I pulled away from the hug and looked at him.

“I think we both know those women can take care of themselves,” I said. He nodded while smiling.

“We have to go, the men are moving,” Ethan whispered, so our location won't be compromised.

Mason quickly left us. We bent down and turned, hoping to blend with the animals before turning back.

“Do you think he knows anything?” Ethan asked as we moved towards the soldiers.

“My father said he doesn't and I also support that,” I said to him.

“Over there,” Ethan whispered. We moved behind the animals and turned back to our bodies.

“Thank goodness, where have you been,?” Layla asked as soon as she spotted us.

“What's going on?” I asked her.

“Adrian is asking the men a lot of questions about the mission. Including where you both are,” she said and I smirked.

I looked at Ethan and nodded, “everything is going according to plan,” he said and we walked towards the front of the line.

“Oh, great. You are finally here,” Adrian said. “I was beginning to think you wanted me to lead this mission on my own,” he said, smiling.

“Yeah, you would want that, Adrian. So you will have all the glory and victory,” I said to him.

“Oh come on big brother,” he touched my shoulder. “I would have gladly shared with you,” he said and I scoffed.

I walked to the front of the Soldiers, “listen up!” I yelled, standing on a high rock.

“We are heading towards the belly of the beast,” I said, loudly. “This is a covert operation to neutralize the enemies defenses against us,” I looked at Adrian with my side eye as I spoke.

He kept moving his body in a dancing direction. Like this was fun for him. How dare he?

“We are to move with stealth and with fury. Our enemy can't know we are coming. This is a surprise attack which will cripple their defenses.”

“Are we ready?!” I yelled.

“Yes!” The soldiers yelled back.

“Are we ready?!” I yelled again.

“Yes!” I got down from the rock and nodded at the witches to provide us with cover.

Myself and Adrian glared at each other as I passed him. “Can I ask you a question, brother,” he said and I turned.

I watched as a white bubble covered us all, down to every single vehicle in this mission. I'm so glad we have witches.

“What do you want, Adrian?” I asked him.

“Where is Mason? I don't see him around,” he said, looking at me.

“He stayed back to look after the camp with Beta Desmond and Chris,” I said to him and headed to my own vehicle.

“I don't change in a mission, Liam,” he said and I turned.

“I never told you Mason will be coming,” I said, looking at his eyes. There was a hint of confirmation and nervousness.

“Whatever,” his eyes changed, “let me know when there are any changes,” he said and got into his own vehicle with his men.

I looked at each one of them wondering how anyone could serve him. Adrian is a parasite and he should be six feet under my foot.

“Let's go!” I yelled and the convoy started moving. Ethan was trying to get a feed with the command center in the palace, Camp and Greenwich.

“Anything?” I asked him.

“The signal Is low, which is good. That means the witch's spell is working.”

“Beta Ethan we read you loud and clear,” we heard Agatha's voice but it wasn't clear.

“We read you loud and clear beta,” that was from the palace and the camp.

“Can you see us?” Ethan asked and touched a place on the screen. It showed we are not the only ones listening. Adrian is listening as well. Son of a bitch.

“Can you see us?” He asked the command centers.

“That's a negative but we read you,” the command center in the camp spoke first and the others followed.

“Is everything going according to plan, Beta?” The head of the command center in the palace asked.

“Yes, it is General,” Ethan said. “We should get to Castillo's camp in less than forty minutes at the speed we are going,” Ethan responded.

“Good luck, we will be listening,” Agatha said and everything quieted down.

We sat in silence for about thirty minutes, each of us in our thoughts. Wondering if we are going to survive this round.

“Something is happening,” Layla said, sitting straight.

“Yes, we are five minutes away from Castillo's camp,” I said to her.

“No, the barrier is weakening,” she said and jumped out of the moving vehicle, including Trish.

I jumped out as well wondering where the barrier was weak.

“Do you see it ?” I asked them.

“Yes, there,” Trish pointed. They both held hands and threw the woman off.

“Hold her!” Layla yelled. Trish ran to cover up the woman's space.

“Why?” I asked the traitor, standing in front of her.

“King Castillo is the true King. Damon is an imposter!” She yelled as the guards took her away.

I sighed and looked at Layla and Trish. “Thank you both.”

“We are here!” The watchman announced.

Adrian got out of his car and everyone splitted into their arranged groups.

“Adrian you take the left warehouse and we will take the far right,” I said and he scoffed.

“I told you to let me know of a change before you actually change it,” he said.

“Yeah, I heard you, the first time. But that doesn't mean I was going to listen.” I stood in front of him.

“Both of you need to get down before you compromise our position,” Layla said to us.

“I'm taking the right like we discussed in the camp and there is nothing you are going to do about it,” he declared loudly.

I scoffed, turned to look at him and landed a blow on his nose. His men tried to get up to defend him but he raised his hands up.

“You will do what I say,” I told him firmly. “I'm the commanding officer on the ground and you will obey because even a fearless leader once obeyed instructions.” He looks at me, trying to understand what I meant.

“Are we clear, brother?” I asked in a mocking tone.

“Crystal clear,” he said with his hands on his nose.

He and his men walked over to the left warehouse and we moved over to the far right.

“How did I do?” I asked Ethan, Layla and Trisha.

“Right on point,” Ethan said. I looked at Layla and Trisha and they nodded in agreement.

That will serve him right. I already knew he was the mole and I made sure all his communication was monitored but my Greenwich command center.

Adrian might have followers in the camp or palace so Greenwich was the best place. They intercepted a signal where our plans for the infiltration were given to Castillo's camp which meant that we were working into a trap.

So now Adrian will work into the trap he put in place for himself.

“Is everyone set?” I asked using the comms.

“Set,” I heard from Ethan and two commanders including Blackburn.

“Set,” I finally heard Adrian's.

“Execute,” there was a big loud explosion in every warehouse which was our signal to Mason and Brianna.

“We are under heavy fire, help!” That was from Adrian's men.
