BRIANNA

“What did you say?” I pushed the door open and walked in. The look on his face was pure horror.

“I meant…,” he began to starmer but I shut him up by folding my palms. Liam immediately rushed to me.

“Let him go, Brianna. It is prohibited to use Magic against another royal,” he said, shaking violently. While I started at Mikeal. I was draining the life out of him.

“He killed my parents!” I yelled.

“We need to hear his full side of the story,” he said, holding my hands. I released my palms and he gasped for breath.

“The King will hear of this,” he said, pointing at me.

“No, he will not,” Liam said as I was about to speak.

“The moment you try to contact the King, I will let your whole park know what you really are,” he said, firmly, “my guess is they will be believe the heir to the throne than a Duke,”

Mikael sat on his chair defeated, “I was a nobody when the king approached me,” he started.

“I could barely afford a three square meal for my family,” he said, “so when the King came with his offer, I jumped into it immediately,”

“That doesn't justify what you did,” I said to him, “you made me an orphan. A nobody will nowhere to call home,”

“You may see it that way, I don't. I did the Kingdom a great service. Your kind doesn't deserve to be here,” he said and I turned.

“My mind?” I asked, trying my possible best to be calm.

“You are not werewolves, you are just witches. It doesn't matter if you change on the full moon, you are not one of us,”

I charged towards him but Liam stopped me, “get out of the way, Liam,” I said to him.

“No, I will not,” Liam said and faced Mikeal.

“I asked you what you did for my father, not a life lesson,” he said to him.

“I tracked your parents along with the parents of that lady of yours,” he said and I scoffed.

“That lady of mine is named Trisha,” I said firmly to him.

“But there was someone else, the women all had babies including her,” he said, touching his chin.

“Where did you track them too?” I asked him.

“To the bridge,” he said and Liam sighed.

“What's that?” I asked him.

“The bridge is a barrier between us and the human world,” he said and I looked confused.

“And?” I asked, “that doesn't change a thing,” I said.

“Exactly,” Liam said, “what Mikeal is saying right collaborates with what we already know,”

I ran my hands through my hair, “what happened after you tracked them?” I asked.

“I noticed each woman walked forward and dropped a baby outside of the bridge. It was until the second woman, I realized what was going on,” he said.

“Which was what?” Liam asked.

“They were all escaping. I fired a warning shot and the third woman quickly ran into the bushes, then the rest stood to fight,” he said.

“You don't have a clue who this woman is?” Liam asked.

“If what he is saying is true, that might be Layla's mom,” I whispered to him.

“She had a butterfly tattoo on her back,” Mikeal said and Lima's face turned cold.

“That can't be,” he said, “when did this happen?” Liam asked.

“Twenty five years ago,” Mikeal answered.

“That's my age, with Trish and Layla's,” I said to him.

“My mom had a butterfly tattoo on her back,” he said to me and my face turned cold.

“Is my mom Layla's mom?” He asked
