It's been weeks since I was betrothed to Liam, there seems to be a level of peace in the land and atmosphere.

Liam has been great and helpful all through we have been making our rounds all over the kingdom and today we are arriving at Margaret's hometown.

“This is a bad idea,” Trish said.

“I agree,”Layla said, “most of the people who knew about Margaret betrothal to Liam will have it out for you,”

“It will be fine. I just need to show everyone I am better than Margaret. Then,” I faced both of them, “her people will choose me instead of her,”

“They are here,” Trish said and I turned around.

“Duke and Duchess Mikeal, it's an honor to be in your home,” I bowed my head slightly out of respect.

Out of the hundred of people who came out to welcome us, no one said a thing.

“You are welcome to our home, your grace,” Duchess Mikeal came forward and bowed.

“Thank you,” I said to her, since I am the future queen, I am to speak politely and not in full royalty statement.

Duke Mikeal walked up to me and bowed, he did the same to Liam.

“Let me show you to your rooms,” the duchess said.

“I'm sorry but I would like to see your hospital,” I said and she looked at me surprised and so did everyone.

“Your grace, you are a guest here. You shouldn't sully yourself with the masses, “ she said and I raised an eyebrow.

You are right,” I said and she exhaled, “but I would still like to see your hospital,”

Liam stood in front of me, “Brianna, you should listen to the duchess, I think she is trying to avoid unnecessary outrage,”

“I am going to be these people Luna, they must accept me or submit. One way or the other,” I cleared my throat and he moved away.

“I'm sure the men would like to go hunting, I would like to see the hospital,” I said, walking ahead of her.

“Your grace, we should take one of the cars,” Layla said.

“I would like to walk,” I said and looked at Duchess Mikeal, “is that okay?”

She nodded nervously and walked beside me. “I didn't see Margaret or her lady at the welcome party,” I said.

“Ohh, your grace, she had some ladies things to attend to. You will see her during dinner,” she said.

“You don't have to be nervous around me, Duchess Mikeal. I don't bite,” I said to her.

She laughed nervously, “I'm not afraid of you,” she said, “Margaret isn't my step daughter, she makes me nervous,” she said and I frowned.

“That explains why you are nice to me,” I said to her.

“Not at all,” she gasped, “I either accept you or I submit. I know what I want,” she said and I smiled.

We got to the hospital after thirty minutes of walking, it wasn't far from the castle.

We got glaring faces as we walked by even more as I strolled into the hospital emergency room.

“That's the future queen,” people whispered.

“What's she doing here?” I could hear angry voices.

“She shouldn't be here not after stealing the crown from Lady Margaret,” they tried their best not to be heard but I did hear them.

As I walked by, I saw a nurse doing the wrong type of sewing on a young boy's injury and he was screaming his throat out.

“You are doing it wrong,” I said loud enough so she could hear me.

“How do you suggest I do it?” She said, arrogantly.

“Can't you see that he is in pain?” I asked her.

“I can see that. What else do you want me to do? I have to stitch the injury,” she said, arrogantly again.

Duchess Mikeal tried to speak but I stopped her.

I walked into the room, “move,” I said to her and sat on the stool in front of the boy.

I looked at his mother, “I will only touch your son if you allow me too,” I said to her due to the recognition she had on her face.

She nodded immediately, I applied some antiseptic on the wound and began stitching it, just like my mom taught me. Or my adoptive mom, it's all really blue, right now.

The boy didn't make a sound so I looked up to see he was still alive, “painful?” I asked.

“No,” he said, smiling.

“Good for a second there I thought you had died on me,” I said and everyone laughed.

I looked at the table beside me, there was a bowl of sweet, “for your service,” I said and handed him the sew.

“Thank you Luna,” he said and the nurse changed into shock.

“Apologies, your grace,” she bowed immediately.

“Not Luna yet,” I said, wiggling his nose.

“Your grace,” his mother bowed and hugged her son.

I took off my gloves, “come,” I said to the nurse.

“Who thought how to stitch like that?” I asked her.

“Back in nursing school, your grace,” she answered with her head down. I looked outside the room and noticed we had gotten quite the audience.

“Good, since you all are here. I just taught you a new way of stitching up your client, make use of that style of stitching and nothing else,” I said to them.

“Yes your grace,” they all said at once and clapped.

I walked out of the room and met with the duchess, Trish and Layla.

“Be yourself and they will fall in love with you, you are a genius,” Trish said, hugging me.

“Well done, your grace. That was magnificent,” Duchess Mikeal said to me and I nodded.

“I would like to see the top doctors before I leave your dukedom. Can you make that possible?” I asked her.

“Certainly, your grace,” she said and walked away.

I spent the entire afternoon, teaching the nurses and taking care of patients. It felt like I was back in the human world but this time it's better.

“Thank you for coming ma'am,” one of the nurses said to me, “I learnt quite a lot,” she said.

“Hopefully it won't be the last time,” I said and walked out of the hospital.

I looked at the car parked in front of us and back at the duchess, “I made a calculated guess that you would be tired, didn't want to take any chances,” she said and I smiled.

“I'm a Doctor, Duchess Mikeal, that was breakfast for me,” I said and I sighed, “but if you insist,” I said and got into the vehicle.

We got to the castle in little time, “you guys go have a time to yourself, I want to speak with Liam,” I said to Trish and Layla. They both giggled and left me.

As I walked through the castle, I noticed everyone bowing and smiling at me. Wow, word spread fast around here.

I had earlier asked Duchess Mikeal for the directions to Liam's room so I walked straight to it.

“How did this happen?” I heard the Duke in Liam's room.

“My father changed his mind,” Liam responded.

“He caused me embarrassment after claiming he will hold up his own end of the deal,” the Duke said.

“What deal?” Liam asked my exact questions.

“The deal of killing Brianna's parents,” he said.
