32!

BRIANNA

“What's happening?” I asked, feeling the room vibrate. The walls kept shaking, the arts on the wall came down with force.

“Maybe the king thought Killing you now won't be such a bad idea,” Trish said and I glared at her.

“The king can't wield a large amount of power besides he is only a werewolf,” Layla said and I scoffed.

“A werewolf that wants my power,” I said to them and their faces changed.

“Hold on to something!” Trish yelled but it was too late. All of a suddenly we were pulled up to the air.

“Now, we are floating,” I said to both of them, “if one of you is doing this, you have to stop right now,” I said, glaring at them.

“What makes you think one of us is doing this?” Layla asked.

“You guys have more mastery of your powers than I do,” I said and they both scoffed.

“Well, you have more power than the both of us and may be doing this but not on purpose,” Trish said.

“I'm not doing this!” I yelled, immediately with force we were drawn back to the walls and got stucked.

“Okay, I'll take that back,” I whispered.

“You got to stop it, Brianna,” Layal said to me and I shook my head.

“I'm really not doing anything,” our backs were released and we were tossed between the rooms.

“Damn, that hurts,” I said as I fell into a deep darkness.

I raised my head up and I realized I'm back at the field in my dreams making me realize I haven't had any nightmares in a long time.

But this isn't a dream, or a nightmare. I was brought here but by who.

“Are you alright?” I heard Layla's voice.

“You are here,” I said to her, raising an eyebrow.

“Where did you expect me to be? We all fell together,” she said.

“I didn't see any of you before the darkness,” I said to her.

“Neither did I,” Trish said, holding her head, “I'm slipping from my magic,” she sighed.

“What do you mean earlier when you said I'm here?” Layla asked me, “have you been here before?”

“Yeah, multiple times in my dreams,” I said to her and it was then I realized we were under a tree.

“But I wasn't under a tree, I was getting to the tree,” I stood up immediately, “we have to get out of here,” I said in a panic voice.

Trish and Layla followed me out of the shed of the tree and we almost fell into a deep ocean.

“That was a bad call,” I said, throwing a rock into the water.

“It must certainly was,” we heard a voice behind us. We turned around to see a woman.

“Is it just me,” Trish said, “or does that woman look so much like your…”

“My Mom,” I cut her off and ran towards my Mom.

“Mom,” I tried hugging her but instead I went through her.

“What the hell?” I asked.

“You can't hug me darling because I'm not real,” she said and I nodded.

“Of course you are not real, you are dead, remember?” I said to her disdainfully, walking towards Layla and Trish.

“I know you are angry and have a lot of questions,” she said and I scoffed.

“I don't have lots of questions, I have numerous questions. Why couldn't you leave me in our world instead of sending me to the human world?” I asked her.

“That's because no matter what or how many protective spells we use it wouldn't be enough to protect you and the king will still be able to find you,” she said.

“What exactly does he want with my powers?” I asked her.

“To rule the whole world, not just our world,” she said and we all gasped, “you a gift from the moon goddess, a protector but sometimes protectors could be vulnerable to people who wants to prey on the innocent,”

“That's not possible,” Trish said, “the humans will never accept us,”

“They won't need to accept us but fear us if the King is able to yield Brianna's power,” my mom said.

“I'm sure you know how I found out about everything,” she said, looking down at her feet.

“Yes, I read your diary,” I said to her.

“What wasn't in diary was that my finding out my future, I trigger a chain of events that should occur up to a thousand years from now,”

“What kind of events?” I asked.

“Chaos and dea-th,” she said and disappeared.

“Where did she go?” I asked.

“She left because it's my turn to speak,” we heard another voice.

“Mom,” Trish said with tears around her eyes.

“Goddess, you look stunning,” Trish Mom said to her, “you all look stunning,” she said, looking at each of us.

“Your mates are handsome men too,” she said, smirking.

“That's not important right now, Mom,” Trish said and her mom's lips formed into a frown.

“That's the most important,” he voice sounded distorted, “you all need to be in sync with your mate, nothing must come between y'all,” she said and Layla scoffed.

“Well, that's impossible,” she said, “mine hate witches,”

“Well, you are going to have to change his mind. You all might have the power but having your mates gives them power as well, protecting them,” she said and we sighed.

“Protect them?” I asked.

“Once you fulfill all rites pertaining to the mate bond, an ounce of your power goes to them,” she said.

“That's easy,” I said to her, “why didn't the king just do that with me?” I asked her.

“He wants all the power and like your mom had said, he wants to use it to rule the world, rule the world,” she said and disappeared.

I scoffed, “they should let us know when they want to disappear,” I said demonstrating with my fingers.

Trish sat on the ground in thought, “what is it Trish?” I asked her.

“I miss her already,” she said and I sighed. Trish had a more connection to her Mom than any of us ever did.

“She is always with you,” we heard behind us and we turned to face a very bright light.

“Mom?” Layla said but it wasn't her Mom. It was the moon goddess.

The three of us bowed down immediately, “you three have a long and dangerous road ahead of you. This will not be the last time we see each other. Your mothers has offered you wisdom. Use it,” she said and the bright light disappeared immediately.

The ground began to shake again and all of a sudden we were back in my chambers.

“That was quick,” Trish said but there was something else on my mind, along with Layla.

“Layla?” I called out to her.

“My mom is alive,” she said and I swallowed hard.
