60!
BRIANNA
I opened my eyes to see a lot of movement but my ears couldn't hear a thing. I got up but somehow I couldn't get up.
I could see and smell blood all in the shed that has a giant hole in the middle. I looked towards my far left to see the witch who challenged Castillo dead with her eyes opened.
“You need to get up, Brianna,” I heard Dia inside of me.
“I'm trying Dia but my body won't let me,” I said to her.
“Get up now, Liam needs you,” she said. I looked towards Liam to see him with one knee on the ground guarding a body.
“Get up now!” Dia yelled as I saw a gun pointed at his back.
“Liam,” I screamed running towards him. “Les, be!” I yelled, clapping hands together towards the wolf that aimed at Liam.
“Are you okay?” I asked, getting a sense of the surroundings.
“Yes, I am,” he said and suddenly I felt I was being watched.
The whole place was filled with wolves fighting each other. I looked to my left to see Layla and Trish fighting alongside some soliders.
“We need to get him back to the camp,” Liam said.
“Is that the King?” I asked, scanning for any potential targets.
“Yeah, he is hurt badly. Can you cover us,” he said and I nodded.
“Akire!” I yelled and then it dawned on me. That was the first time I have called her name. “We have to go,” my hands were set in a defensive position.
“His Majesty,” Akire said as soon as she saw the King.
“Not now, Akire,” Liam snapped, “keep an eye out,” he ordered.
Beta Chris and Desmond carried him out of the shed, running towards the vehicle as we took fire.
I tried very hard to stop the fire but it was getting too much.
“Call your sister,” I heard Dia's voice and I took a deep breath.
“The King needs us,” I said using my mind and my eyes shined. In less than a minute, Trish and Layla were beside me, surrounding the King with Ethan and Mason.
We got the King into the vehicle and we raced the hell out of the middle. I looked back to see someone standing at the very end of the hill. I couldn't see who it was but he was there and I could see darkness surrounding him.
“The blood won't stop flowing,” Liam cried out. I looked at the King and he was right.
“Raise his shirt,” I heard a voice say to me.
“Raise his shirt,” I said to Liam who didn't hesitate.
“Use the water in your can to stabilize the bleeding,” the voice said again.
“What?” I said out loud.
“What?” Liam looked at me confused. I shook my head and took my can off my waist belt.
“What are you doing with that?” Beta Chris asked with distrust in his voice.
“I don't know yet but I think it can stop the bleeding,” I said without looking at him.
“Do it Brianna,” Liam said, holding my hands. I opened up the can and allowed the water to flow out with my mind.
I brought it down over to the King's abdomen and placed my hands over it. I took a deep breath, opened up my eyes and could feel a light in them.
“Wow,” I heard Liam's voice.
The water over the King's abdomen turned blue with light and he began gaining a bit of consciousness.
I took the water out of his body and back to my can. The light in my eyes disappeared and the King coughed.
“Castillo must never have your powers,” he said and I scoffed.
“But you must,” I said and he scoffed.
“I never wanted them and I didn't kill your parents either,” he said and I looked at Liam.
“Father, you shouldn't be talking,” Liam said and looked at me.
“What is he talking about, Liam?” I asked him.
“Not right now, Brianna,” he said as the vehicle stopped. He seems to have perfect timing.
The King was brought out of the vehicle, placed on a stretcher and taken to his tent.
“Liam?” I called his name. He walked towards me and held my hands.
“Not now, Bri and I promise to tell you everything you need to know,” he said and I nodded.
“What's that about?” Layla asked standing behind me with Trish. I looked at her and scoffed.
“I think you know,” I said, walking towards the direction of our tent.
“How will I possibly know that?” She asked, trying to keep up with me.
“Out, all of you,” I said to Tara and her mates.
“That the King didn't kill our parents,” I said and Trish gasped. Layla's face showed confirmation.
“How long have you known?” I asked her.
“Right before I joined you in Greenwich,” she said and Trish scoffed.
“So, all the attitude you were giving was just to protect this secret?” Trish asked her.
“The King asked me not to tell you, he practically begged,” she said and I scoffed.
“So you did go to him after we told you it was a bad idea,” I said to her.
“I only went to him before my Mother told me to, she told me he's my father,” she said.
“You met your Mother?” I asked her.
“I didn't just meet her, I rescued her,” she said, almost in tears.
“She is well guarded, Layla, how could you have rescued her?” Trish asked l.
“We are more powerful than we think we are and you are even more powerful,” she said looking at me.
“How come you didn't come with her?” I asked l Trish softly.
“She didn't want to come,” she said. “She said she had to be the one to kill Castillo for everything he made her do.”
“I don't think she can do that anymore,” Trish said.
“Yeah, guess she was caught,” Layla said in tears.
“Oh Layla,” myself and Trish hugged her at the same time.
“Your grace,” Tara ran into the tent. “You are needed in the King's tent. All of you,” she said and we all ran out.
We got into the King's tent to see a lot of healers in it. These women are pure witches with no werewolf blood.
“They can't help,” Liam whispered to me. “He needs your help, the three of you.”
“What can we do that the healers haven't?” Trish asked.
Liam titled his head, “follow my lead,” I said to Layla and Trish walking towards the King's bed.
I touched his head and flinched, “whatever you do now, will be temporary,” one of the healers said. Something in me knows she is right.
I opened up my can and brought out the water and placed it directly on his injury. He began to shake violently.
“Hold him down!” I yelled. “Place your hands over it,” I said to Layla and Trish and they did.
Immediately the light I felt in my eyes earlier came back and I saw them in Layla and Trish's eyes as well.
“Oh my goodness,” Trish said, I could feel energy coursing through me.
“The water is drying up,” I heard Liam's voice and I smiled.
“It's going to,” I, Trish and Layla said at the same time.
All of a sudden there was a huge crash in the room as the water dried up into the King's injury closing it up.
Laim slammed his brother, Adrian against the wall, “where the hell have you been?”
