Chapter 46

I sobbed into my shoulder, not know the first thing about what I should do, or how I was going to get out of this. Without Nyx or my power I was completely helpless, unable to protect myself or my mates from this unknown man, all I know is thaf he commands rogues and knows about Balthazar, which isn't much to go on at all.
I didn't know who he was or why he wanted me apart from that he feels the mate bond, but I didn't care about it. I didn't want anything to do with him, after all; if he was my mate, he'd love and protect me. Right? He wouldn't lock me away in a dark dungeon and suppress my wolf with wolfsbane.
hours pass as I knell their, completely defeated and alone, afraid of what will happen when he returns. How could I ever agree to him marking me? I didn't want my mates to die, but I had a horrible feeling that if he marks me, I will never see them again.
I will never be happy again.
I hear footsteps approaching and shiver in terror, unprepared for him and what he was going to do to me, I didn't want this, any of it. I was finally getting somewhere with my life, I was going to travel to all my mates packs and see the people who lived their, I was going to have their children and grow old with them.
how can this monster do this to me? I jump when the cell door clicks open, a man with Sandy blonde hair and dark eyes Walking towards me with a tray of food in his hand. He crouched in front of me, but says nothing at first, simply looking me up and down as though I needed to be inspected.
he was smaller than the man with green eyes who took me, but he was still strongly built and intimidating, my heart pounding in my chest. I looked over at the tray in his hand and notice that it's some kind of porridge and water, my stomach growling st the sight.
I didn't know how long I'd been here, but this was the first time they had brought me anything to eat, and I was going to refuse it. Yes, I was hungry, but I didn't want anything from these people, except for my freedom. I'm not as easy to tame as they think.
The man smiles slightly, "you are a pretty she-wolf." He says.
I say nothing back, just staring at him in hatred as he watches me, my wrists burning whenever I try to move.
"Don't go all silent on me now, my alpha says you have quite the mouth." He chuckles, waiting for me to say something.
I don't.
"Fine, have it your way." He sighs, disappointed that I ruined his twisted game. "I've been ordered down here to make sure you eat something, so I guess we should get onto that. Now I don't want any trouble from you, am I clear? I am not know for my patience."
I simply stare at his face, wishing that Nyx was here to help me, she'd know what to do.
he dips a spoon into the porridge and brings it to my mouth, nodding his head in silent indication that I should open my mouth. I turn my head away from him, shaking it as I whimper the word no. I didn't trust that they hadn't put anything in the food, and I wasn't about to risk it either.
He growls. "Don't be like that, you are going to get us both into trouble."
he tries again and I do the same thing, refusing to open my mouth and accept the food he's offering, even as my stomach pleads with me to eat it. Perhaps I was being stupid, but I couldn't help it, I didn't trust these people.
"eat!" He commands, roughly grappling my chin and forcing me to look at him. "If you don't do exactly what I say, I will bring him down here and trust me when I say you don't want to make him mad, it will not end well for you or me."
He tries to pry my mouth open with his hand, shoving his fingers inside as I growl at him, biting down as hard as I can. I get the taste of blood in my mouth as he snarls, his eyes flashing silver as he pulls his hand back, nastily slapping me across the face.
I lift myself up slightly with the chains and kick the tray, throwing the porridge across the room with a loud clang. The man shakes his head and stands up, turning away from me as his shoulders shake in anger.
"I've mind-linked the alpha, and he isn't happy with you right now Red, I suggest you prepare yourself for what comes next, don't say I didn't warn you."
