Chapter 84

I screamed out and rushed forward with all the strength that I had, plummeting myself into enemy lines and away from my people. I had to get to Balthazar and end this once and for all.
I staked three more vampires before I got to where he was stood, waiting for me in silent awe, he was impressed seeing my powers. But that was only because he wanted them for himself. He wanted nothing more than to use me for his own gain.
but not anymore, I was free.
"You've come a long way, Annalise." He says slowly, a smile breaking across his face.
"and you are the same asshole you have always been." I growl, Nyx closer to the surface than she has ever been before.
she was ready to fight, and was I.
Balthazar laughed bitterly, though I could tell he was nervous. He never expected me to get this far. "You can end this now, surrender and all the others can leave here unharmed, I only want you."
"I'm no longer yours, I freed myself from your grasp and you will never ceintrol me again." I snarl, "but that's enough chatter, let's end this."
"suit yourself, but you ARE mine." He bellows angrily, shooting a storm from his hands and hurling it towards me.
I threw up a shield of wind and just managed to avoid being thrown backwards, my abilities stronger than ever before, Nyx egging me on within my mind, knowing that we could do this. That we could succeed.
I hurled the stake towards him to distract him and it worked, whilst he was preoccupied dodging I send a blast of pure lightning into him, the bolt hitting him directly in the centre of his chest.
he attempted to sidle the it back, but I simply shot another one into the same place, knocking him to the ground. I pulled out a knife from my boot and rushed into him, stabbing him several times in the stomach whilst he tried to regain his composure.
he wailed in agony and cried out my name, shocked that I had come with a weapon and not simply used my power. He hasn't expected it.
"You're going to die today." I whsisper into his ear as I slit his throat.
Nyx howls through me and the battle stops, all heads turning towards me as I stood, the warlock dead by my feet. I turn my head towards the remaining vampires and growl lowly, warning them that they would meet the same fate should they stay here.
The vampires look at one another before fleeing as fast as they can, using their unnatural speed to get away. I turn my head towards Dean who was watching me with the eye that hadn't been swollen shut. His face coated in pure disbelief and shock.
"I told you to believe in me." I said with a smile as I released him from the chains that kept him bound.
He pulls me into his arms and holds me close to his chest. "I never thought I'd see you again, my love."
"I'm here now, I love you mate." I whisper, coating his bruised face in soft kisses.
"what about the babies?" He asks, looking Down at my almost flat stomach.
"they're with your sister Eve, don't worry they are perfectly safe and healthy." I smile, pleased to see the love and affection on his face. "I can't wait for you to meet Maria ajd Johnathan."
"perfect names." He chuckes, knowing exactly where they came from. "I can't wait to meet them either."
"Annalise!" Drax calls and he rushes forward. "You did it!"
"that's our girl!" Zane shouts, also rushing forward.
Matthew and Alexander approach too, each one smiling brightly, pleased that we done what we set out to do. The warlock Balthazar was no more and all the slaves were being freed. It was like a fairytale happy ending and we were the ones who were living it.
everything would be different now, but this was just the beginning, we had many more warlocks to fight and slaves to free. But all that would come in time, for now we had this victory to look upon in bliss.
we had done it.
the man who kept me locked away all those years was dead, and I could go home to my children.
wr could all go home.
The journey home was fast, but wished it was quicker, I couldn't wait to hold my children in my arms and tell them how much I loved them. I could now give them the life that I wanted to, they would grow up and be happy ajd content with all they have.
for once, I was excited to see what the future may hold for me, and o coukdnt wait to see what would happen in my life next. Of course more children will be a must, but other than that I had no idea. I still had so much to learn and do.
but now I had the freedom to do it all I didn't know where to start.
The wolves that had come into battle with me and my mates bellowed and shouted about how strong I was and how blessed I must be to be able to defeat a warlock such as Balthazar.
I had to agree with them, the moon goddess had definitely blessed me, with mates and strength. I was the luckiest girl alive to have what I do, and even with everything that has happened to me in my life I wouldn't change anything.
I wouldn't change it because it has made me who I am now. It has made me the wolf I am.
experiences shape a little person and mine had taught me things that I would have other wise never known. Therefore, I would do it all again. Relive the hell to get to where I am now.
I turned towards my mates who sat talking amongst each other and smile widely, each one of them is perfect for me in their own unique way. They are all so different but share the same values and beliefs.
yes, Drax and I started off as hating each other, but look at us now! Everything was as it should be, and I know that we will all be happy together now that the evil was gone.
"what are you thinking about, love?" Alexander smiles, pulling me into his lap.
"I just can't believe how lucky I am to have all of you, I've never been as happy as I am with all of you I sniffle, the emotions of the day finally getting to me. "I don't know what I would do without you all."
"you don't need to know because we are never leaving you sweeetness, you are ours now and forever." Dean smiles, taking my hand.
I smile, but tears fall from my eyes. "And I couldn't be more grateful that you all chose me."
"I'd chose you every time." Zane smirks.
"as woukd i." Drax nods, not realising that Zane was making a joke.
I laugh and then my smile grows, "I love you all, so much. This is our new beginning and we have the rest of our lives to spend by each others side."
