Chapter 63

Breakfast went by faster than I would have liked, I wanted to spend more time with my mates, but they were all busy trying to organise the packs merging together. I suppose it's a big job, melding four packs into one, things have to be sorted, members of each pack have to have somewhere to live. It wasn't an easy process.
I went back up to my room to change, it was quite a warm day compared to most as I wasn't really going anywhere, so I decided on a long yellow and pink dress with half sleeves. It was nice to pick my own clothes again, nothing skimpy and showing, and underwear included!
I came out of the wardrobe to find Alexander sitting on the bed, a wide smile encompassing his face. "Are you ready to see our child?"
"Of course! I can't wait." I smile, walking towards him as he rose to his feet.
I wrapped my arms around his waist and pulled him towards me, having a moment to treasure the quiet moment together. I loved all my mates equally (except Drax, I didn't love him) and I wanted them to know how I felt. I would show them every day what they mean to me.
"I love you Annalise." He says with a soft sigh, "I'm so sorry we couldn't save you sooner. If anything would have happened to you and our child I don't know what I would have done."
"I love you too Alexander and its ok." I say softly, wanting to calm his fears. "I knew you would come for me, and I survived." I stroked my small bump. "And so did our little one, don't stress over something you can't control ok?"
"I can't help it." He says with a frown, pulling back to look into my eyes. "I would never be able to forgive myself if we lost you, you mean the world to me. To all of us."
"and you all mean the world to me, please stop worrying, I hate when you are upset." I mutter, cupping his face in my hands. "You have nothing to be concerned over, I am fine. Our child is fine. You all are fine."
"You're right." He chuckles, "I guess you bring out my paranoia and fear sometimes. But that's only because I care about you more than I ever have another person."
"come on." I giggle, "we better go see the doctor. He can tell you I am just fine."
"let's go then." Alexander agrees, taking my hand and leading me out of the room.
the doctors office// small hospital wasn't far from the pack house, it only took us around five minutes to walk there, though by the time we entered I was glad for the heating system. The wind was cold and bitter.
alexander walked up to the desk with me in tow, scanning the room as though someone may jump out at us at any moment and take us down. It was a silly notion, but I found myself on edge too.
"we are here to see doctor Drake." He tells the woman behind the desk, tapping his foot impatiently.
"Yes alpha, I will go and inform him that you are here." She says, batting her eye lashes at him.
I realise that she was trying to flirt as she walked away swaying her hips and sticking out her ass, it was embarrassing really. Why would she degrade herself in front of a mated alpha? Was she stupid? Did she not realise I was stood right here? I should knock her out and teach her a lesson.
I hadn't realised I was growling until Alex looked down at me, concern all over his face. "What is it love? What's got you angry?" He asks, completely oblivious.
"can you not see that she is flirting? She wants you." I growl, scowling at her as she comes swaying back.
Alexander laughs, shaking his head. "You don't have to worry about her, she isn't my type." He says loud enough for her to hear.
She looks over at us with a scowl on her face, quickly going back to her work. I was glad that Alex put her in her place, someone needed to and if I did it I would have hurt her.
we waited over ten minutes for the doctor to come out of his office, his honey coloured skin and black hair a fair contrast. He had warm brown eyes and wore a suit until his white coat.
"Luna, Alpha. Welcome." He says with a nice smile. "Will yoU follow me?"
We both nodded and followed him into the back room, a long seat laid down with a scanner next to it. I was now nervous to see my baby, I just hoped that it would be ok. That it would be healthy. That's all I wanted.
"Luna, if you could lay down and pull up your dress." The doctor said, moving towards a small stool.
I looked at Alexander who nodded with a smile on his face. "It's ok, go ahead."
I did exactly as the doctor said, my nerves rising again as he placed the cold gel onto my stomach , pressing the scanner down hard enough that it was uncomfortable. I watch the screen as sure enough I see a tiny bang, only their wasn't one on the screen, their was two.
"it looks like you are having twins. Congratulations!" The doctor beamed.
