Can't allow it

Chapter eleven
Jayde
I stared wide at the guy from earlier, what the fuck is he doing in the club?
I might have slapped him the other time but I couldn't because he looked so handsome. I envy the woman he"s going to wear the tuxedo for.
He couldn't stop looking at my cleavages, I knew he must have a huge crush on Hattie. But he should just continue with what he had decided on.
He told me he had decided to go on with the marriage and I like that.
At least even if Hattie comes back, she wouldn't have a choice but to continue living with Henry as his wife.
I heard Henry is very handsome but I doubt if he can be different from Hattie's ex-boyfriend.
He's tall and fit and handsome. Is there anything a girl will ever want that he doesn't have?
If I'm not here pretending to be Hattie, I would have offered to be his wife. What am I saying?
I seem to have a serious crush on him. Gosh, I'm so ashamed of myself.
When I walked back to Mercy, she commented about how beautiful the dress looked on me. And just like that, we ended up buying it.
Well, I don't have to worry much about it. I will just be wearing it for three hours.
But Mercy warned me that I had to get familiar with clothes like this one. Clothes that expose some parts of my body I will like to keep close.
If I still want the one million dollars according to the contract, then I need to abide by her rule.
We drive home and I was warned not to step outside again. It seems like James didn't tell her I"ve done so and I'm grateful.
The evening, James came to my room to see how I was doing. And I had to beg him to let me go out and see my mom.
Yes, I've missed her so much. I can't also wait to tell her how am faring.
After much pleading, he agreed after he made me promise I would be back at home before 11 pm and that I would be very careful.
I packed several food and fruits for my mom while the maids were in their rooms.
After staying with my mom for an hour, gisting and telling each other about how we've been doing. I told Mom I had to go back home.
But then, I had wanted to see how the bar was a ping as well.
I was in a short tight gown, that shows my figure. I took a black bag and a pair of pair of glasses.
I looked perfect and simple. I didn't want to dress like Hattie and I didn't want anyone to know I'm Jayde.
I look so good now. Mom didn"t even recognize me that much. I guess I've changed for good.
I walk inside the bar and a familiar feeling courses through me. I remember coming here to work every day.
And somehow, it looks like a year ago. Even though it only happened days back.
I look around at how filled it is, as always. This way, I wouldn't be able to drag attention to myself.
I take an empty seat and look up, just in time to see Hattie's boyfriend clutching one of Ayles's beauty closer to himself.
I thought he used to love Hattie. What am I saying? He told me he would stay off.
But why is he here and with a lady for that matter?
His eyes meet with mine and held for a couple of minutes. His mouth went wide and he suddenly let go of Cara.
I chuckle slightly, surprised at the fact that he still seems to love me, I mean Hattie.
Maybe this is his way of getting back at Hattie for agreeing to marry someone else.
I don't care, I don't know why I should.
I get up and walk towards Jayden. I've missed him so much. I wonder how he is doing.
Gwen is nowhere to be found. Maybe Declan is around somewhere, she must be with him.
I move closer to Jayden, "Hi."
"What will you like to have," he says, not even looking at me.
I smile, "Jayden, it's me Jayde."
He looks up, his eyes went wide and dark with shock, "Jayde, what happened to you?" He walks out so we can be standing together now, " OMG!" He exclaims and pulls me into a tight hug.
Well, Jayden has been the number one friend I've ever had. We couldn't quite keep in touch because I didn't have a phone but now that I do, I will collect his contact.
He pulls back and looks at me in awe, "How come you are like this? You've changed. It was only a few days since I've last seen you."
I laugh, " You've gone handsome than you are," I tease too and he chuckles softly.
I'm sure he will be amazed by the type of my clothes and the fact that it's expensive and not the one I like wearing.
Well, I'm like this because I was forced.
"I heard from Gwen that you got sacked. I'm so sorry. I would have called you if I had your number."
" No problem, let me get it now," I tell him and bring out my phone.
Jayden made a deep gasp as he stares at my one million dollars phone. I laugh mentally, glad that my life is better now.
I have never owned a phone and I never anticipated it. Phons, gadgets, and laptops are something owned by the rich. And since I'm not, I decided to forget about it.
I save his number and look up at him again, "Can I have a cocktail?"
"Sure!" His eyes have brightened smiles spread across his face. In one word, he seems glad to see me, "I will bring it over. Don't forget me in your paradise."
I laugh briefly at his choice of words. I delve into my bag and bring out two hundred dollars. I place it in his hands and he laughs out loud.
"Thank you so much," he seems so happy and he almost bows to me.
Gwen walks in eventually and gives us a familiar stare.
I scoff and walk back to my seat.
Just when I was about to sit down, a pair of hands grab me and ease me out of the bar.
I look up at Hattie's ex-boyfriend. The look he's giving me is something else.
I can vividly see the steams coming out of his ears.
But I seriously don't know why he's so happy.
My eyes suddenly look past him and I see Declan coming towards us.
What! I must not let him see me! I look up at Hattie's boyfriend. He opens his mouth to say something but I stop him by taking his hand and running away.
Anywhere but there. Declan must never see me. He will know I'm Jayde.
