Chapter 28

Yenn continue to fiddle around the kitchen, searching for pots and fans as well as checking the remaining food left in the quite empty fridge. He sighed, there's nothing left more than a cabbage and some tomatoes on the upper corner of the shelf. He closed the refrigerator and inspect the cupboards, there are some canned beans, cup noodles and a potato chips. Looks like they would be surviving the two weeks with noodles and beans which bothered him quite a bit. What if Elena didn"t come back? For sure, they would starve to death and it would probably be too late for anyone to notice their situation or maybe they would just rot here together without anyone knowing. But then, it's their fault that they let their legit lifeline drift away. They shouldn"t have let Elena go away but still they trust her wholeheartedly.
"Can"t believe that I"m just realizing things now"
Yenn sighed deeply as he took the used pans and pots to the sink, intending to wash them. It's a stupid decision to actually enticed their excitement into having themselves agreed on a whim to meet a specific someone who just happened to be a subject of their own curiosity. It was exciting at first and too tempting to resist, well, who wouldn"t drool to have a $5 million dollars straight to their pocket just by playing an event in a certain game? Who wouldn"t get fired up over a grand offer and an exciting reveal? The game charmed a billion of people to partake which made it much challenging for anyone who participated but here they are, chosen to be isolated and totally got scammed by a who knows who kind of individual. It was ridiculous that they didn"t even know what they"re thinking when they eagerly sign a piece of paper which is the trap! He sighed when he remembered his past self agreeing like an idiot as he forcefully get dragged from his house and practically came here on his own accord, regretting that foolish decision now seems a bit too late, now that he's here stuck with 9 more people and had himself raped by a roommate.....
Yeah..
This would probably the biggest regret he would have in his entire life. He put the pans and pots away realizing that he totally washed them while he was lost in thought. F*ck! The plates! He still haven"t wash the plates! He gripped his hair turning around as he saw Jiwoon on the counter, silently watching him as he moved around the sink.
"Speaking of the devil"
Yenn sighed and shook his head while looking at Jiwoon. "Do you want something? If you're still on about earlier and would love to mock me then go on, I have no time for craps so just make it quick" he waved his hand uninterested.
Jiwoon furrowed his brows and stared at his back. It always scratch his pride when Yenn ignored his existence and then only remembers when he tried to pry on him like this.
"I"m not, just grateful that you praised my cooking, thanks by the way" he leaned on he counter.
"That"s it?" Yenn asked lazily as he divert his attention to cleaning the fridge since its almost empty anyway.
"Earlier, its not about you, we're just talking about how fuck up the situation is" Jiwoon explained as his gaze followed his movements, tapping his fingers on the countertop.
"Oh, okay that was so embarrassing" he paused as he remembered himself that almost teared up earlier. He glanced at Jiwoon as he caught his eyes staring back at him. "Did you do it on purpose?"
"Yeah, as you said I want you to forgive me" Jiwoon casually said as he arched his lips to a smile.
"I still haven't though, you can't really take back what you did, things don"t work that way" Yenn gazed sharply at him while wiping the fridge's shelves.
"I know, its not that I regret my actions then" he replied.
"Hah, why do you even asked for my forgiveness? You hideous freak" his eyes glint with anger, no matter what kind of sense he drill into his brain he just couldn"t figure out Jiwoon. Either its his words or acts he just don"t want to bother anymore, it was so exhausting and he's just became used to the way he treated him already so what"s the point of a hopeful change?
"No, that's not what I meant, I mean I don"t regret trying to make you mine" he said in a serious tone.
"Yours? What, am I just a thing to you? And that's an enough reason for you to do that kind of thing? Seriously dude, I can't figure out what you really think about in that big brain of yours" he shrugged, totally losing his will to even listen to his words, he just made himself deaf as he walked pass him and made his way to the dining room. He collected the plates, smiled to everyone awkwardly and then finally carrying the stack of plates and utensils on his hand to the kitchen sink. He's already tired but his mind was still full of thoughts, he couldn"t dismiss them all as the main culprit of it was still there watching him intently. He could feel the prickling gaze in his back which is totally uncomfortable. He decided to ignore it and just carry on what he was doing and he actually finished up without himself knowing, he rinsed off the plates then put them back on the cabinet as he stride towards the direction of the stairs, staying here would really suffocate him to death. The silent air along with the prickling stare of someone was more than enough to persuade himself to walk faster as he climb the seven layers of stairs that felt like a large drain on his life energy. He went to his room, dive into bed and finally sleep.
A week past, nothing happened between them and everything seems alright, the only problem is, they already ran out of food only three canned beans left in the cupboard and nothing more. Everyone was in a dilemma searching for food around the house flipping everything and even scanning rooms thinking that they might've scattered some food somewhere or misplaced them as they inspected every nook and cranny. When everyone gathered in the kitchen, they put the things they've found on the table. Almost of it were chips, some chocolate bars and a pack of candies. They all sighed, this would probably make them survive the next three days, wait for Sunday to come and hope that Elena will be back by then. They already voice their complaints on the TV room but the child like voice doesn"t respond anymore. It looks like they were completely left alone, although they trust Elena to come back but nothing is certain since she could've forgotten them or might be dealing with a lot more problem outside delaying her return which they hoped not.
"Shit! We're out of everything! I can't believe we ate all the food this fast!" Dienn yelled as he stared at the few pile of snacks. "And that bastard wasn"t even responding to our calls!" he groaned, upset.
"Calm down, Elena would come back and we'll probably be okay" Hailey assured him.
"What if she don"t? What happened then?" he asked frowning.
"We"ll die, and that"s it" Karin shrugged, looking at him with pity. Yenn glanced at her thoughtfully well, It's true though, if they were meant to be stuck with each other in who knows where and got forgotten as they ran out of everything then the only ending for them was death.

Then Let's Just Make it Weirder
