Chapter 46

"Hey, why didn"t you wake me up?"
Yenn leaned on the bathroom door and stared at Jiwoon who"s currently wrapping his waist in a towel. Jiwoon gave him a dumb look then look away.
"You already did so what"s the point?"
"You"re supposed to do that thing!"
"Oh come on! Stop being childish Yenn! Enough of this, okay?! I"m not your nanny or something."
"You"re the one who said—"
"Enough! Damn it." Jiwoon screamed at him and then he unceremoniously went pass him, not caring whether he bumped into him or not. He just walked away. Why is he so mad?! It was a first that he heard him yelled so loud like that. Did he get tired of him already? Is he acting cold because of something he did? But they both get along since yesterday. He didn"t see any problem. Or is there?
No.
He must be in a bad mood or he"s just trying not to spoil him too much.
Yeah that must be it.
Yenn pouted then finally hopped into the bathtub and start showering. Today is the Halloween party, maybe Jiwoon was playing a prank since they"d be trick or treating today so. "Argh, stop thinking too much! Yenn" he reprimand his mind and continued his shower with empty thoughts. After twenty minutes he twisted the shower knob and get out of the tub. He wrapped his waist in the towel and went back to his room.
"Hey? We"re supposed to hold hands today?"
Yenn shout at Jiwoon who"s already on the turning side of the stairs. He really left him up! His prank is really not funny! He rushed stepping downstairs and aiming to grabbed Jiwoon"s hand but he turned and he bumped to his chest.
"Not now, Yenn"
"Why?! You know this isn"t funny, stop pranking me already!"
Jiwoon stared at him for a moment then he chuckled disappointingly. He thought Yenn would get the message but it seems that ignoring him wasn"t enough.
"You had to endure it, if you want a treat that is"
"Fine! Geez."
Yenn went passed him and hurried downstairs. He frowned at that sight. Yenn really don"t care about him huh. He even left like that and tossed his words away. Well, what can he expect? Yenn never see him the same as he did. He should stop doing this. He don"t want to blindly believe the false hope he had.
It"s time to stop this.
"Hey, have you tried the costumes?"
Karin waved at Yenn"s face. He was clearly spacing out. He jolt and look at her dumbfounded.
"H-huh? What?"
"I said, have you tried the costumes yet?"
"Ah, no?"
"Then, let"s check it out. Come with me"
Karin dragged him to the large curtained side of the room. It was the dressing room for them. They"re currently in the third floor of the house whereas—the place for the Halloween party is the first floor. She dragged him inside then pinned him to the wall. He look at her silently and confused. Yenn saw Karin pursed her lips and look at his eyes deeply.
"Why aren"t you looking at me anymore? Don"t you like me?"
"I am seeing you though. You"re the one ignoring me because of Dienn. Are you two dating?" he refuted. He realized he liked her. Or did he?
"What? We"re not!"
"What about me then?"
"You say that when you"re always stuck with that guy! You"re hell-bent!"
"No I"m not. What are you talking about. I like you. See"
He gave Karin a peck on her lips then he back away. Karin stared at him unconvinced by the she just sighed and let him go. Yenn clearly don"t like her. He never like her since the start and she knew that. She just want to help Yenn and her have a piece of mind. She crossed her arms and looked at Yenn from head to toe. They both had a moment of silence then Karin sighed and pointed to the left.
"Your costumes to try are there. Tell me if you need help with the make up"
"Oh. Sure, thanks"
Yenn walked towards the direction she pointed at. His pace were slow and he felt that Karin was following him. He paused and she did too. He waited for her to speak then he heard her sigh and clicked her tongue.
"Yenn, tell me the truth. You really don"t like me right?"
"How can you say that?" he turned his head to her and saw her smiling at him.
"I"m just sure. I knew it when people like me or not anymore."
"Oh? Then how can you say I don"t liked you anymore?"
"I feel it and I saw it myself."
"Is it because of Jiwoon? But we"re not in—"
"Shush it. I understand. You don"t really have to tell me. I know what I mean and you know it too but if you need help, you could say something to me. Just keep that in mind, okay?"
He looked at her meaningfully but her face was still plastered with a sweet smile. He shook his head and sighed.
"Okay?"
He turned away and headed towards the bunch of costumes hanging in the side. Karin just rejected him in a weird way. He was supposed to get sad and cry but right now, he really felt nothing. Like the feeling he had for her didn"t exist in the first place. He shook his head in pity for himself. Something is really wrong with him so he couldn"t blame her that her interest fade away. He sighed and pick the cat demon costume. It comes with a cat ear headband and the overall black costume has a devil"s tail in the back whilst the gloves were designed like paws. He took of his clothes and put on the set of clothes. He then walked towards the body mirror in his side and looked at himself.
He just need whiskers to really look like a black cat...
He smiled at himself in the mirror the turned around to see his tail. He moved his hips and spin around to see if it"s moving in rhythm with his. After he confirmed and felt satisfied he smiled and walk out from the changing booth.
