Chapter 47

Everyone gathered at the kitchen with their costumes. Yenn as a cat demon, Byul with fox ears and tails but he was in a suit attire, Dienn in a pumpkin head overall, Karin in a succubus attire, Jiwoon in a vampire's clothes, Yulix that looked like a wolf man, Shang Huanyi as the ghost lady, Elena and Liyanna was both in a matching Butler suit but with an eyepatch and different color of rose brooch, Stanley as the wizard, Hailey with a witch hat and attire and Ivis in a black mask and suit.
Yenn scanned the room and his attention focused on Jiwoon and Hailey who were organizing the candies and the other sweets. He stared at them talking eagerly with each other and felt a bit irritated at the sight.
He sat on the countertop and silently watched them.
"You think the trick-or-treaters would like this?"
Jiwoon asked Hailey with a smile. He presented the candy bars that they chilled yesterday and all the sweets that they baked. Yenn bit his lip in annoyance when he didn"t mentioned him. Hailey look carefully at the sweets.
"Yeah. We could but isn"t this too many?"
"We need to make sure. Elena told us that many would come to the island so"
"Guess you"re right, who could they be? Players too?"
"Maybe, the game must"ve launch an event."
Hailey stared at Jiwoon with a smile.
"Speaking of that. You don"t play games with us that much. Maybe we could. Do it sometimes?"
"Sure."
Jiwoon smiled at her as they both look into each other"s eyes. Yenn gritted his teeth and approach them, he really couldn"t take the flirting scene in front of him. He smiled at Hailey and glared at Jiwoon which made Jiwoon just shrugged his shoulders at him.
"Ahem, can I join you?" he asked with a fake smile to Hailey. She blinked her eyes and smiled.
"Sur—"
"No, join someone else."
Jiwoon cut Hailey"s word and stared at Yenn. They both stared at each other for a moment then Jiwoon signaled him to go away. Yenn look at him pissed and confused but he grabbed his arm and they both strode off. Hailey just look at them dumfounded then she shook her head and turned away with an understanding expression.
Yenn dragged Jiwoon on a corner with no people and then turned to looked at him.
"What"s wrong with you? You"re not mad at me are you?"
"I told you, E-n-d-u-r-e it."
"Well, I don"t want a treat! You said you"ll spend the Halloween with me so why the fuck are you flirting around?!"
"What? I"m just talking to her! Are you nuts to just stop me from talking to someone else? I"m a person too I had to talk to others and it"s not like you"re the only person in the world that I could talk to"
"I know! But you said you"d help me! So why don"t you just focus yourself on me? Huh? Are you running away in your own responsibility?!"
"Is that what"s this about?"
Jiwoon massaged his temple and silently look at Yenn. He then sighed and wet his lips in frustration. He clenched his fist and exhaled deeply. It"s time to end this.
"You know what. I did my best didn"t I? I even do what you want, pampered you spoiled you, give everything and all you want. I did my fucking best so that you"ll forgive me. We"ve done this for months and I don"t even hear a single "thank you" or any appreciation of my "effort" in your mouth for that span of two months, you never call me by my name even just for a moment or a second. All I hear was you saying "Hey". I have my pride too but I fucking lowered it just for you. I"ll ask you what. Are you even gonna forgive me or are you just using me? If that"s the case then let"s fucking sop this!"
"I"m not using you! It"s true I needed your help to move on but I didn"t initiated this, you did that yourself!"
"So, we"re playing the blame game now?"
"Oh fuck, we are! Don"t you dare try blaming me for your fault! You"re the one who started this!"
"I"m not. You don"t even get what I"m saying"
" What?! Aren"t you blaming me right now?! I just want you to do your responsibility to me!"
"That"s it? Well, I"m just asking whether you"ve already forgiven me! Have you ever thought about that? I did my best and I"m fucking tired of it. Have you ever thought about me? Even if— just for a moment or a tiny second, huh?"
Jiwoon yelled at him too. They both looked at each other"s face angrily. Yenn then grit his teeth and turned around with his back facing Jiwoon. He just stared at him waiting for his word and hoping that Yenn would make him feel better. Even if just for a bit at least.
"I still don"t. I won"t ever gonna forgive you. Satisfied?"
Jiwoon grit his teeth. So that"s it. He have been a fool all along! Yenn really did just used him. He shouldn"t have hope for a positive answer nor anything good from him. He really treated him like this and even stepped on his pride! He gripped his hair and looked at Yenn angrily.
"Hah. You"re really heartless aren"t you? Fine. Let"s end this shit. I won"t ever ask for your forgiveness and never approached you again. I"ll scram away so you"ll never get pissed whenever you see me. Goodbye"
"What?" Yenn widen his eyes in surprised.
"Bye" he walked in a fast pace.
"Hey wai—"
"I mean it. So don"t you try to approach me too"
Jiwoon glared at him making Yenn flinched and stopped. He just stomped away with a grim expression and Yenn was left standing in shock.
Yenn humped coldly and just let him go away, he knew he"ll come back and beg him later. He would wait patiently for that.
But it"s not the case now, Jiwoon would never do that again. He wouldn"t dare and he firmly decided to end things between them right now.
He won"t be a fool again to go along with his whims.
He won"t come running back at him for forgiveness.
He would never lower his pride ever again.
And he finally decided to let him go.
