The BBQ

It was around five when I came back downstairs and everyone was in the backyard. When I walked into the kitchen, Karen and Lisa were busy making salad and sticking dinner rolls into the oven. They heard me walk in and both looked in my direction. “ Hey girl, you’re finally awake?” said Lisa, pulling me to sit at the kitchen island. “ The guys decided to have the party here instead, so we don’t run into the stalkers again.” all three of shaked our bodies like we were shaking off something bad and then we burst out laughing. Kyle walked into the kitchen and gave me a kiss on my head. “ Hey baby, how was your nap?” I wrapped my hands around his waist and leaned my head onto his chest and turned my head to look up at him. I started making kissing sounds while pushing out my lips upwards. He winked at me and started kissing me “ Will you two get a room?” laughed Karen. As we pulled a part the doorbell rang. He walked out of the kitchen and headed to the door. A minute or two later he came back in with six other guys and four girls.
He introduced everyone to Karen and I, because Lisa grew up with these guys and didn’t need any introductions. The girls that came with them seemed very nice and they didn’t give off that pretentious bitchy attitude. When I went out in the backyard, I saw Melisa and a few of her friends from before. The night turned out great, with a lot of laughing, dancing goofing off. Everyone didn’t leave until around four in the morning. We decided to clean up later, we just wanted to hit the bed. After my shower I went to Kyle’s room, where he was waiting for me. We laid down and cuddled into each other. I guess he thought I had fallen asleep, because he kissed me in my hair and whispered “ I love you” . I didn't move and pretended that I was sleeping. But inside I was screaming with joy. I wanted to kiss him and tell him that I loved him too, but I realized that he waited until I was sleeping to say it. So, maybe he is not ready to say it out loud yet.
When I opened my eyes the sun was shining so bright inside the room, I covered my face with the pillow. That was when I realized I was in bed alone. After a few minutes I sat up in bed and picked up my phone. It was three in the afternoon. Wow, it didn’t feel like I was asleep that long. I slowly walked back to my room and jumped into the shower. When I got to the living room I could hear voices in the kitchen and there were two guys sleeping on the sofas in the living room. I ignored them and continued to the kitchen. When I opened the door I saw a lot of food on the kitchen island. I greeted everyone and headed straight for the food. When I sat down, I noticed that the cleaning was already done. “ Hey why didn’t you guys wait, so I could help you clean up?” Kyle leaned over the island and said “ We called a cleaning company to do it. We were too tired and lazy to do all that cleaning. When they were finished cleaning we ordered catering, since we were still recovering from last night.” I am glad that they decided to do that, because all I want to do is eat and lay back down. That night we ordered pizza for dinner and watched movies in the family room.
The next few days flew by fast and we were happy that we didn’t run into the troublemakers again. We went sailing and scrubber diving. We had a picnic on the beach and in the park. I rode bicycles around town, while eating ice cream. We were heading back to the city tomorrow and I was not ready to leave. Unfortunately I have to go back to the real world. My dad’s lawyer was able to set up that meeting with the Holloways, but old man Cole is still suing me for breach of contract. The meeting with the Holloways is on Monday morning at ten. Dad also told me that grandma Bernice moved into her own apartment and old man Cole did not take it very well. And somehow he blamed it on me, which I thought was amazing how he came to that conclusion. I will have to ask Kyle if we could come back before the summer is over. Maybe I will see if I can afford to buy a house here. It is a great place to come and relax, plus it is not far from the city.
