Our Ever After
Our wedding is in two months and I cannot wait for that day to finally get here. About a week before my wedding Lisa and I saw Heather and a group of girls in a wedding boutique in the city. I had completely forgotten about her crazy ass. We still have the restraining orders against her, so since she was in the store first we decided to leave. That didn’t stop the crazy bitch to from running her mouth. “ I see Kyle hasn’t married your insignificant ass yet. I knew she was just using you to pass the time.” Seriously, she needs to be medicated and put in a padded room. The people around her should stop encouraging her crazy demented behavior. We chose to ignore her and continued on our way. She is not important and I will not waste my time by giving her any validation.
Our wedding party was leaving for Greece in two days and I refuse to let anyone steal my joy, so fuck Heather and he crazy ass. We all arrived in Greece safely and everyone got settled in. We invited over two hundred guests, which were mostly family and friends of the Grants. I did invite my grandmother and aunt from my mother’s side of the family. I haven’t seen them in a few years, but we usually talk on the phone from time to time. So, I was really happy that they will be able to make it and share in my joy. Them being there also feels like my mom is here as well. Seeing them is going to make me feel guilty, because it had been such a long time since I visited them. I made a promise to myself that I will start spending more time with them. I also want Kyle to get to know them and about my Jamaican heritage.
My special day has arrived and I am over the moon with excitement and losing my patience waiting to hear the words you are now husband and wife. We have waited for this day for two long years. I am so ready to get this show on the road. Lisa and Karen kept laughing at my impatience pouting. Finally it is time for me to meet my husband down the aisle. Dad and grandma Bernice started crying when he saw me in my wedding dress. Lisa outdone herself with my dress, she made me the most beautiful bride ever. I can’t wait to see Kyle’s reaction when he first sees me walking towards him. When I walked out of the building with dad the only thing I noticed was Kyle standing there like a model making his Armani suit look good. I forgot all about the phenomenal view behind him.
The smile on his face froze when he saw me and he took a step down about to walk to me when Thomas grabbed his arm and stopped him. Everyone started laughing at him, but he didn’t care. He was just as impatient as I was. Everything around us seemed to have disappeared. All we were focused on is each other. I finally got to him and he said “ you’re perfect.” We had written our own vows and we both had tears in our eyes when we were reciting them to each other. Now I fully understand when people say a girl's wedding day is the most important day of her life. This whole experience made me fall more in love with Kyle and we will never let anyone take our love and happiness away from us.
