The Uninvited Stalker

I looked at Kyle with narrowed my eyes and said “ if you don’t get this bitch out of here right now, I am going to throw her off the cliff. I will not allow her to ruin our wedding.” I turned and walked away. I went back outside and sat down at the table we were having dinner before. Lisa and Karen came out a few minutes later and sat down next to me. “ Thomas and Mark went to talk to Heather, while Kyle was on his phone talking to someone. I can’t believe she would show up here out of the blue. Do you think she found out about your wedding and is here to cause trouble?” asked Karen. I kept looking out in the distance at the ocean not saying anything. This bitch Heather is seriously asking for a proper beat down. Does she really think that I would sit back and allow her to destroy our wedding?
“ Why else would she be here? What I don’t know is how she found out about the wedding and the location? We’re not in the same circle, so how could she know all the details about this weekend?” asked Lisa. Personally I really don’t care how she found out, but coming here so brazenly to start trouble will be the end of her. She seriously needed to be committed. We still have those restraining orders against her, but I guess she thinks they only apply in New York. There is no reasoning with crazy delusional people like her. We will need to do something drastic to her in order to get her to accept the facts that are in front of her. “ Maybe we could get some human traffickers to take her for free. That way we would never see her again.” Joked Lisa “ I think they would pay us to take her crazy ass back” I said and they started laughing at me.
A few minutes later the guys came back out and sat down next to us while shaking their heads. “ I have never seen someone so crazy in my life. She refused to leave the hotel, so the manager called the police to remove them. She was kicking and screaming at the officers saying they were infringing on her freedom. Can you believe that shit?” asked Mark. “I called dad and let him know what was going on. He called our lawyer back home to let him know that Heather violated the restraining orders again, by following us here. The lawyer is going to contact her father and let him know we will be pressing charges immediately.” Kyle explained. He was looking at me with remorse on his face. I know he is blaming himself for this, but I am not mad at him, it’s not his fault the bitch is crazy.
I lean on his chest to let him know I wasn’t mad at him. I wrapped my hands around his waist and kept my head on his chest listening to his heartbeat. We all just sat there in silence looking out in the nothingness of the night. Around nine o’clock one of the hotel staff came out to tell us they needed to start setting up for the wedding tomorrow. Our wedding is at noon tomorrow, so they needed a lot of time to set up everything to my specifications. We all got up and headed upstairs to our rooms. Kyle’s mom said we cannot share a room tonight, so the girls are going to stay with me and the guys will do their own thing. “I cannot believe that, just seeing that crazy attention seeking whore upset me this much.” I said to the girls. “ At this point I really don’t know how many more ways we can tell her that Kyle doesn’t like or want her. Even after we’re married I don’t think she is going to stop stalking us. We’re in Greece for fuck sakes and she followed us.”
I could see that the girls felt sorry for what I was going through, but they were at a loss for words. “ I really think she needs to be committed where she could get some real psycho-therapy and some mind numbing medications. That might be the only way to get her to stop stalking you guys.” said Lisa. She really does have a point though, Heather needs her freedom taken away, so she can understand that this situation is serious. Locking her up might get her to snap back to reality. Since it is the weekend I hope the police keep her locked up until we leave the island. After the wedding tomorrow Kyle and I will leave for our honeymoon around midnight to fly to Bali. I don’t want to see or hear her name before we leave.
For the rest of the night the girls and I watched movies and gorge ourselves on popcorn and ice cream. We were on our second movie when my phone buzzed. I looked at the screen and there was a text from Kyle telling me good night and that he can’t wait to be my husband. That put a huge smile on my face. This wave of happiness and excitement rushed over my body after I read what he wrote. That summer two years ago, I was only supposed to stay in the city for a week. A chance meeting changed my entire life in so many unbelievable ways. We have created many wonderful memories together and with our friends. Looking back at that summer we met I wouldn’t change anything not even meeting crazy ass Heather.
In some sad ways she and Peter have made Kyle and I bond stronger. Dealing with the challenges those two caused us, proof that we can deal with any situation that comes our way. It showed us that we will always be there to support and love each other no matter what. We won’t let anyone interfere with our love and happiness. I don’t remember when we decided to call it a night after I responded to Kyle’s text. The next morning I was awoken by my phone ringing like crazy. After a few rings and reach for my phone and declined the call and rolled back over in the bed. Then it started running again and I got frustrated and grabbed the phone and yelled “ what?” my eyes were still closed, because I wanted to go back to sleep. The girls were still asleep next to me, dead to the world.
