Welcome Letter

When we got back home everything was going well for the most part. Dad was spending a lot of time with one of the ladies he met at the party. Her name is Elizebeth Moore. She was a self made millionaire and is the CEO of her own company. I guess she stood out the most in my father’s eyes, because he only talked about her and not the other two ladies from the party. I am extremely happy that he found someone he could spend quality intimate time with. Dad and Chase completed the transition of taking over grandma’s and Ms Holloway’s company. They have a good working relationship and things at the company are going really well. Dad’s divorce with Vanessa was finalized and she moved back to her home state.
I received my welcome to the New York University acceptance letter and Kyle was happier than I was. He started making plans for all the stuff we were going to do together and it made my heart flutter. Mr Grant invited Kyle and I to lunch two days after we came back from our European trip. To our surprise when we arrived at the restaurant Heather and a man that looked like he was her father were sitting at the table with Mr Grant. I looked at Kyle and let out a big breath, “ I didn’t know anything about this” he said. I wasn’t mad at him, I just was not in the mood to deal with this bitch. We have been having such a good time so far without her stalking us everytime we turned around. We walked over to the table and greeted everyone then took our seats. Mr Grant started the conversation and he got straight to the point. He spoke with respect, but was very firm with his words. He asked Heather’s father to convey to her that her current behavior towards us is criminal. He told her father that she has been stalking Kyle since middle school and even though she was repeatedly asked to stop she refuses. Mr Grant even mentions that Heather attacked Melisa in the Hamptons, because Melisa told her to stop bothering her brother.
Her father was mad and he kept staring at her with disbelief on his face. “ Heather, is what Mr Grant true?” First she was sitting there pretending to be innocent, but when her father asked her about it her face changed. “ I knew Kyle first, so why should this nobody get to be his wife and not me? She is not even that pretty, do you know she is the bastard child of the Hayes family?” she said that part with a smile on her face. I was about to drag her out of the restaurant and beat her ass, when her father slapped her hard in the face. “ How dare you say something so disgusting about someone? From today you will stay away from the entire Grant family, do you understand me?” her cheek was swollen and red from when he slapped her. “ I can’t believe you just slapped me for this bitch, wait until I tell mom.” Mr Grant was sitting there shaking his head at how she was talking back to her father. From how she is talking to her father we could tell that she was used to getting her own way all the time.
I could see the hatred in Kyle eyes “ Mr Williams, I brought you and your daughter here today to give you a chance to put an end to this, but seeing her behavior and nasty attitude toward my daughter-in-law tell me that she will not stop. You will both be hearing from my lawyer on this matter, we will also be getting a restraining order against her. If anything happens to either my son and his fiance, you and your daughter will be held accountable.” Mr Grant stood up and said “let's go kids, we will eat somewhere else.” Kyle and I stood up and started walking out with Mr Grant, when we heard Heather screaming “ Kyle you and that bitch will regret this, mark my words.” if her father didn’t know she was crazy before, he knows now. They really might want to get her into some strong therapy, because she really needs help.
We went to another restaurant close by and as soon as we sat down Mr Grant looked at Kyle and said “ son why didn’t tell me that her behavior was this bad? This is not just a simple crush, that girl has an unhealthy obsession with you. People like that can hurt you and the people around you if they can’t get who they want.” he kept shaking his head at his son. “ At first, I thought that by ignoring her, she would get the picture. When she didn’t, I told her several times to leave me alone. I told her I wanted nothing to do with her, but she just doesn't believe me or anyone for that matter.” he ran his hand over his face. “ She has started showing up everywhere we are and making a scene.” Mr Grant raises one of his eyebrows and says “ Don’t worry kids I will take care of this today. You guys enjoy your lunch, I will talk to you later."He stood up, gave us a hug and left. Kyle and I had a nice lunch and we were feeling grateful that Mr Grant was going to put a stop to Heather and her madness.
