Chapter 41

Emerald's words were depressing to Leandre. His jaw was clenched because he was convinced of what that woman was doing. Otherwise, they and Alondra would have talked. Cheska kept looking at him as if sympathizing with his feelings, he noticed.

"You should face the consequences of your actions because you chose to lie," Emerald said.

Leandre shook his head. They had several sexual encounters before Alondra revealed that they were not in a relationship. Shit! She is incomprehensible. Emerald and Cheska informed him that they were leaving after a few moments. As a result, Leandre was abandoned.

He couldn't believe the time he'd spent with Alondra was coming to an end.

He didn't even wait for her to explain before deciding to leave. But he can't blame her because he shares some of the blame. After all, he hadn't told her the truth from the start. He appears to be insane. He's laughing by himself because he sees Alondra in every room.
She is relieved to be with him because he is too difficult to care for and cook for. He will get up early because breakfast will be prepared for him, and his office clothes will be ready and ironed when he does. Leandre's life is too good; he needs a woman like Alondra.

But perhaps change meant that all of this occurred for him to correct his life. He is now preparing to file for divorce to be free to love. Even though Jade will not agree to what he desires. Why stay in a relationship if there is no mutual respect and love? It's all pointless.

His fortune will run out, but it will be unpredictable. When she left, he wondered if he had any money left, and he didn't want to go back to the club and work there.

He admits that his life is no longer the same because it is dependent on Alondra; he has grown accustomed to seeing her and being able to sleep together and hug her tightly in the cold night. But he is powerless because she abandoned him.
The car was speeding through the city, but Alondra didn't care because Garret wasn't talking to her because his attention was focused on driving.

They came to a halt after a few hours at a subdivision. Garret emerged from the house and opened the door for him. She was curious as to where he had taken her. He chose to remain silent, however, because he had nowhere else to go.

The front door opened, allowing Alondra to enter, but as if she wanted to flee, their gazes met the man she despised. He was also taken aback when Dianne emerged from the kitchen just as he was about to leave. He's perplexed as to how they know each other. And Dianne is pregnant because her stomach is swollen.

"Oh, Alondra, I couldn't believe it when Garret texted me that you were with him, but now that I've seen you, I'm happy," Dianne exclaimed as she hugged him tightly.

"I'm glad to see you again, Dianne," Alondra replied cheerfully.
She doesn't mind if Mr. Harway is only looking at her as long as he knows the rage in her heart will never go away. And she still wears the necklace he gave her to remind her of her mistake in trusting strangers.

They were both sitting on the sofa.

"I'd like you to meet my husband, Alondra; his name is Timothy," Dianne said, motioning to Mr. Harway.

Alondra is taken aback. Why, of all people, did Dianne continue to love this man? Why did she think she was gay? Is Dianne aware of what her husband is doing? But she chose to remain silent.  She will speak with her later.

"How about the girls, where are they now?" Alondra asked, trying to change the subject.

"They all have their own lives away from the club we used to live in, and everything I'm thankful for is because of your boyfriend's help," Dianne replied, smiling.

Alondra also smiled but with bitterness.
"We've broken up, Dianne."
"Why?"
"I found out that he is a married man. That's why I left his house that's why Garret saw me." Alondra answered in a sad voice.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know."
"I'm okay," Alondra said.
She noticed that Mr. Harway went up the stairs. He couldn't look directly at her because he was too guilty for the sin he had committed. When it disappeared from her sight, she faced Dianne.

"What's on your mind, Dianne? You're struggling to get out of that dirty place and you end up with the wrong person?" Alondra asked.
Dianne was sad.
"I know you're going to ask this now, but he regrets what he did to you, Alondra. I only loved someone who accepted my entire personality. He confesses to me the wrong things he did in life and what he did to you. And all his money and property from there have been gone for a long time and we have started to live normally. He said it was fine with him because it was your choice, but what about our child? Growing up without a complete family is extremely difficult, Alondra. I go everywhere in search of people who will accept and truly love me, but there are none. All of this only applies to Timothy. If I have to kneel in front of you to ask you not to send my husband to jail, Alondra, I will." Dianne sobbed.

What about her broken character? Does she no longer have the right to fight for it? Alondra couldn't stop crying, and seeing this woman she cares about cry and beg Alondra proves that love conquers all.

This girl means too much to her to be considered her sister. She does not want her child to be raised without a father. Because she will not know what it is like to have no parents to look after them because, even if they are poor, they have parents who look after them and stay with them until they reach adulthood. Dianne was about to kneel in front of her when she stopped her.

"No. Don't do that, Dianne. Don't cry. Something bad might happen to your son." he said and led her to sit on the sofa and wiped her tears.
"You don't have to kneel for me to forgive your husband. I'm doing this for the sake of our friendship." Alondra said smiling.
"Thank you. If you don't have a house to live in, for now, you should come here first. Since Garret is alone here." answered Dianne.
"How are you with Garret?"
"Timothy and Garret are cousins."
"I see."

Dianne said goodbye briefly before heading up to her bedroom. And Alondra decided to get some fresh air as well. The sky was overcast, and the breeze was chill. She regrets leaving Leandre, but it's difficult to be with someone married, even if he and that woman are divorced. It appears to be raining again, so I sympathize with her disappointment.
She was so preoccupied with looking at the sky that she didn't notice someone approaching.

"I'm sorry for putting you in this situation; your life will not be miserable because of my mistakes; I could have positively helped you, but I chose to put you in danger," Timothy said as he stood next to her.

"There's always a reason for everything. Even if you don't let me go to work there, I'll end up there. I didn't finish school, so how else would I think I could get a job? And something good happened to me there for sure, I met someone I'm going to love. Unfortunately, it's still the wrong person," Alondra smiled.

It's a good feeling to be able to forgive someone who has sinned so much against you.
"Where is he now? I wanted to thank him for helping Dianne to be removed from that place," said Timothy.
Alondra laughed.
"Don't dream that you and that man will be met because he will put you in jail. If Dianne could cry for me, I would be forgiven, but I know he won't," answered Alondra.
Timothy was silent on the side.
"I'm sorry," he said and hugged her tightly.
"Everything will be alright. Trust me."
Leandre decided to go home to his mother's house after two days since Alondra left him. No proper food and sleep. Earlier he only ate coffee and a sandwich. He got out of the gate and got into the car and drove it away. The strength of his running and he no longer cares if he crashes or dies all he wants to do is rest forever. When he arrived at his mommy's house, he immediately entered the house and found her in the living room eating dessert with Emerald.
"Are you still taking a bath, brother? You look awful right now. You don't look human in my eyes." Emerald said.
But he ignored his sister. But he just sat next to it.
"Emerald told me that Jade passed out?" his mommy asked.
"Is he still alive? No matter what he does, I will never go back to him," answered Leandre.
"I know but why are you stressed? Your mustache is growing but you don't seem to have any plans to shave it off." said his mother.
So he and Emerald looked at each other. His mommy didn't even know what happened. Maybe his sister just waited for him and he is the one to say to his mother.

"I'm fine. Everything is under control," answered Leandre.
"Really? You wouldn't be like that if you didn't think about the problem. You used to gain weight but now you're thin like you don't have anything to eat." his mom answered.
"I don't know so I came here just to eat."
"Eat there. There is still food left in the fridge. You had to eat a lot so that when Alondra comes back to you, you will have strength." his mother said, and winked at him.
"What the..." was all Leandre could say.
He thought his mommy didn't know but she mentioned Alondra's name. He looked at Emerald who shrugged.
"You think I don't know what you've been busy with for two months? Your sister's loyalty is really for you but not your nephew." his mommy Lucille answered laughing.
Leandre just shook his head. He thought she wouldn't know, but they have a reporter at home.
"So what is your plan right now? Are you going to find him?" asked his mother.
"I will take care of my divorce with Jade first and then I will look for Alondra if everything is fine," answered Leandre.
"Good."

One month ago. Leandre came to terms with the fact that Alondra had abandoned him. When he hadn't yet met Jade, he straightened himself up and returned to his old form. Everything is fine with him; there is no need to worry because he has already gone to a lawyer and filed for divorce. He was simply awaiting Jade's response and signature. Because he discovered she had been released from the hospital. He is currently signing a document in the office. But he came to a stop when the door slammed and Jade's angry face met him.

"What are these papers for? You haven't even thought about it; I just got out of the hospital, and this is what you immediately revealed to me?"

Leandre smiled as he gazed at Jade. He leaned in closer to see her face, which was already shriveled with annoyance.

"Are you sick or are you just trying to fool me? Don't act like I'm to blame because I filed for divorce; why did you forget that you cheated on me in our marriage?" Leandre responded.

"People have the right to change," Jade yelled.

"Someone else has a right, but you don't," Leandre replied, playing with the ball pen in his hand.

"Damn you!" Jade exclaims.
