She walked to the counter. And she saw that what Salome brought to the counter earlier was already inside the paper bags.
“Is it all listed, Harley?” Alondra asked.
“Yes, ma’am. Who is that for?”
“For Yohan, he doesn’t have any new clothes to wear here, so I’ll give them to him.” Answered Alondra.
“You’re smart, ma’am. That’s why I’m lucky because I’m working here. I want to stay here for a long time. Because nowadays it’s hard to find a job anywhere especially and I didn’t even finish high school. There is someone who will accept me. But it goes to the boss who is too much to give orders. Make the worker a slave and pay a small wage.” Harley said
“All of you can stay and work here as long as you want. You know it’s okay here because you stay in and you don’t need to find and pay for a boarding house.” Answered Alondra.
“Yes, ma’am.”
A few hours later Alondra left the counter because there were customers. And she saw a delivery boy come in with a bouquet and chocolates and he was looking straight at her. Alondra wondered who would send something like that.
So he approached her.
“Who is that for?” Alondra asked.
“For Harley Mauro. Is he here?” asked the man.
Alondra turned to the counter and saw that Harley was no longer busy so she called her.
“Your boyfriend has something for you, Harley,” Alondra said in a loud voice.
Harley’s eyes went up to them. So she went out of the counter first and approached them.
“Is that really for me? Who is it from?” Harley asked with a frown.
“I don’t even know because I’m just a delivery person. And besides, it didn’t put a card with a dedication on it.” Answered the man.
“Maybe you just delivered it wrong, sir. I don’t know who it came from.” Harley said.
Alondra laughed in her mind. This is the excuse of girls who are too innocent but when like others will jump for joy because they have a secret admirer.
“Is there another Harley here beside you?” Alondra asked causing her to pout.
Harley forced a smile and took the flower and chocolate then confirmed the list. After the man left, Alondra approached her at the counter.
“Those seem expensive. And I’m very curious about who sent you that. You have no idea who? Maybe you just know him.” Alondra asked.
“Nothing really, ma’am. Besides, I just arrived in the city so I can’t know anyone here,” Harley answered.
“Maybe he knows you but you don’t know him. Your secret admirer.” Alondra said.
“I’m not happy, ma’am. Maybe later when I’m walking around the city, someone might suddenly grab me or maybe kidnap me.” Harley replied.
“You think too much. Maybe not. Maybe he just liked you or became a customer, you just don’t know.” Alondra said.
“I don’t know. I don’t know either.” Harley replied.
When Alondra saw that many customers were coming in, she entered her office. Yohan and Paul arrived at four in the afternoon.
Paul immediately entered her office.
“How are you two doing?” Alondra asked.
“It’s okay, ma’am. My parents agreed and they were happy with the money I gave them, thank you very much. And then the owner of the tricycle regretted it because they said they would lose a hardworking driver. I don’t want to rent among them, I’d rather work here with you.” Yohan said smiling.
“Okay. Go ahead, go to the warehouse and join Paul there.”

When Yohan came out, Alondra also stood up carrying her sling bag. She approached the counter for a momentt.
“I’m going out first, Harley. If the worker needs anything, call me.” Alondra said.
“All right.”
Alondra left the boutique and slowly walked where her feet would take her. And exercise too. And she stopped at the ice cream parlor. She went inside straight to the counter to order. She looked around and smiled because mostly the customers were families who bonded while eating ice cream with their cute children.
Alondra smiled bitterly. She was selfish since she didn’t want that her future baby to experience this with their father. She was just trying to avoid complications.
Alondra was about to find her seat when she turned to see Lexie's smiling face.
"Oh my, it's you, Alondra. I can only see you here." said Lexie.
Alondra smiled.
"I didn't expect to see you here," he answered.
"Me too. How are you?" Lexie asked and led him to the empty seats near the counter.
"I'm fine."
"Just now we met again and the fact that we were going to bake a cake didn't even happen," Lexie said with a sullen tone.
"I'm sorry I'm too busy," answered Alondra.
"That's the problem. I didn't even ask Sir Leandre what you were doing. I was also ashamed to go to your house." said Lexie.
Alondra forced a smile. The news did not reach Lexie.
She held her hand.
“I am no longer in Leandre’s house and life. And I found out that he is married because I met his wife. After all, she went to his house. But she did not know that we were in a relationship since I said I’m his cousin when I introduced myself. I was hurt because he didn’t even tell me the truth even though they are separated, the fact that he has a wife can’t be changed. What am I in his life? I don’t want to be another woman or to be a mistress.” Alondra said sadly.
Lexie looked at her sadly.
“I’m sorry because I didn’t even tell you because he stopped me from telling you because he said he was going to get a divorce but I did't think you two would separate. I've been his secretary for a long time and since then his relationship with his wife has been shaky because he cheated on their marriage, and he became sad. He was always out of his mind, but when you came into his life, he became happy. Sir Leandre is very kind, so I don't understand why that woman was able to fool him." said Lexie.
She would have been happy if she and Leandre had a relationship but there wasn't and she was so disappointed.
"I hope you don't tell Leandre that we met, Lexie. He might be looking for me because I didn't tell him goodbye."
"Sure. No problem. I can't interfere because you're involved. It's a good thing we met, otherwise I wouldn't know where to find you. By the way, I'm getting married and you have to go." Lexie said and she gave him an invitation card.
She accepted it with a smile. Lexie deserves to be happy because she is kind and sweet. She thinks that she doesn't know how to get angry.
"Congratulations. I'm happy for you." Alondra said.
But she didn't know if she could go because she knew Leandre would go too. She doesn't want the two of them to meet and he will talk to her because she might make a mistake and say that he will be daddy.
"I'll be happy if you come."
"Yes."
"Thank you," Lexie said, cheerfully.
