"An unjust law is itself a species of violence."

The court sections resumed after the thirty minutes break and everyone in the court all arose as Leonard entered the courtroom.
"Does the defendant have any more witnesses?" Leonard asked Jeremy with a threatening look.
"Yes, your honor. The defense calls the doctor who performed the autopsy result on Sola's corpse." As Jeremy calls the doctor, people began to murmur amidst themselves as the doctor walked into the courtroom.
"What is he doing here?" Daniel asked angrily as the doctor walked to the witness stand.
"Who the heck is that lawyer?" Park groaned out in frustration and stared angrily at Jeremy.
Dr. John was made to swear an oath and when the clerk was done, Jeremy proceeded to ask his question.
"Tell us the truth Dr. John," Jeremy said to him and smiled at him when he remembered what happened before the break ended.
As Jeremy walked out of the washroom, someone pulled him into a corner. He was ready to retaliate but when he saw who the person was, he looked surprised.
"You came?" Jeremy asked the doctor who stood in front of him.
"I couldn't get the guilt out of me. A lot of people had died because of me and it was time to let the truth set me free," the doctor said with a true expression on his face. "Look after my testimony, Daniel Hamilton is going to kill me and I'm not afraid to die because it is the price I had to pay for everything I've done." The doctor sighed deeply and held Jeremy's hand.
"I have cancer, last stage and I could die anytime from now. I need you to please help me inform my wife and son about my death. Tell them not to come and live their lives," the doctor coughed out some blood which he quickly wiped off with his handkerchief. "My wife left me because she couldn't stand me. I was a killer because what I did to those girls, their families was inhumane. If you want to fight Daniel and Hamilton and the feathers, you need to find out all about Felicia Watson, a detective named Johnson and Abraham Akinsola."
"Wait.....did you just said Abraham Akinsola?" Jeremy quickly asked to make sure that he heard the doctor right.
"I believed that what I just said. Did you get the flash I gave to you?" The doctor asked Jeremy who was still looking shocked after hearing his father's name."did you?" he asked again.
"Yes, I did," Jeremy replied after getting over the shock of hearing his father's name.
"When the time comes, you will need it." The doctor said and whispered a few words to Jeremy. "Remember the password." He told him and walked away.
Jeremy watched the man walking away and couldn't help but think about the fact that his father had something to do with the feathers. Whatever his father had with the feathers was something big and he was going to reveal it.

The doctor looked at the faces of the people in the court before he began his story.
"I----"
Leonard hit his gavel and shut him up.
"This is against the rule of the law, Dr. John. You can not testify against the defendant and then come as a witness. You could be sued for this!!" Leonard said to him.
"I'm not afraid to be sued chief judge because I lied the first time. I lied when I said the girl only died because of the hit she got on the head. I performed the autopsy on the girl and I'm here to let you all know that the girl was molested before she died." The doctor confessed with his head to the ground.
"Objections your honor!" Kyle stood up.
"Sustained!"
"Dr. John, why are you lying in front of everyone here when you swore to speak nothing and nothing but the truth?" Kyle questioned.
"That's because I lied," Dr. John confessed and everyone in the room began to murmur.
"Order!" Leonard hit his gavel.
"What I did was unprofessional and I'm ready to go to jail for it. Sola was not the first victim and certainly wasn't the last because I've done to others what I've done to her."
"Okay, Dr. John. When you said others, what does that means?" Jeremy asked.
"It means a lot of girls had died and when I performed an autopsy on them, I change the result."
"Are you trying to say that my client is not guilty of the charges against her?" Jeremy asked him the question to get on the nerves of Kyle and Leonard.
"As far as I'm concerned, she didn't kill the girl because I manipulated the result," the doctor burst into laughter.
Jeremy nodded at him and went back to his seat. "That's would be all your honor." He bows and sat down.
"Does the prosecutor have a question for the witness?" Leonard asked.
"No, your honor," Kyle said because he knew he had lost to Jeremy.
"This guy is completely useless!" Simone complained about where she sat. She was fuming in her seat but she couldn't do anything inside the court.
"The witness is excused," Leonard declared.
Dr. John was lead out of the witness stand and he walked himself to a vacant chair that was beside Sola's parents.
"I'm sorry," he whispered to them because he recognized them.
The couples looked at him and sobbed quietly in each other's arms.
"Does the defendant have any more witnesses?" Leonard asked with curiosity.
"That's would be all your honor," Jeremy declared.
"Does the defend rest?" Leonard asked Jeremy.
"Yes, your honor," Jeremy replied.
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, I am now going to read to you the law that you must follow in deciding this case. To prove the crime charged against the defendant, the prosecution must prove three things to you; first, that the defendant was responsible for the death of sola; second, that Kemisola struck the victim on the head with a stick until she died; and Third, that the defendant committed is guilty as charged." Leonard said and paused for a while and then continued a few seconds later.
"If each of believes that the prosecution proved all three beyond a reasonable doubt, then you should find the defendant guilty. But if you believe the prosecution did not prove beyond a reasonable doubt, then you should find the defendant not guilty. Proof beyond a reasonable doubt does not mean beyond possible doubt. Remember this is a reopen case," Leonard reminded the jury who all nodded at him.
"Are you ready with final arguments?" Leonard asked both Jeremy and Kyle.
"Yes, your honor." They both replied.
Kyle stood up and faced the jury. "Your honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury: The judge has told you that we must prove three things. First, the defendant was arrested at the crime of the scene which made her the prime suspect of the crime. Second, it was proved through an autopsy result that sola died through a hit to the head. The defendant has informed by one of the witnesses is a very aggressive person and she and the deceased were caught fighting once. If truly she didn't kill the deceased, why didn't she call the police as soon as she saw the body? That's shows that truly, the defendant was responsible for her death. According to what the judge said, that is what we need to prove. Based on the evidence, you must find the defendant guilty," Kyle said and sat down.
When it got to Jeremy's turn, Jeremy breathes before he said anything. "Your honor, ladies and gentlemen of the jury. Kemisola was unlucky to be a victim of a setup of a murder she didn't commit. As shown in the video provided by the sister of the deceased, my client got there after the murder had taken place but one of the prosecution witnesses told you that she heard a noise and quickly call the police. How can someone be in the same place at the same time? The doctor who performed the autopsy also confirmed his signature to be the one on the real autopsy result where the result not only shows how sola was stuck on the head but also on how she was raped brutally before she dies. Kemisola only went to the scene because she was called by her friend which shows us that Kemisola is a good good person."
"Wow, he is good!" Kendra marveled at how Jeremy spoke with confidence.
"Why are you surprised? Remember that Jeremy defeated LAN in court?" Yomi who sat beside her questioned.
"Yeah, how can I forget that?" Kendra smiled sweetly as she remembered. She watched as Jeremy continued to speak with confidence.
"This case was closed five years ago but reopened again because my client did not murder sola." Jeremy continued, "The prosecution must prove every part of its the case beyond a reasonable doubt that means you must be very sure. One of the things they must prove was how sola got to the scene. My client only went to the scene because of a phone call. The prosecution has provided no real evidence to prove what sola or Kemisola were doing in an old abandoned mansion and also how can he explain the video. That means there is no reasonable doubt and, therefore, you must find my client is not guilty."
After Jeremy finished, the jury all requested to watch the video again and looked into the autopsy result. This went on and on for thirty minutes and everyone in the room anticipated the verdict.
"Will the jury foreperson please stand? Has the jury reached a unanimous verdict?
The foreperson who was a young woman, stood up and answered. " yes"
The clerk walked to the jury stand and took the verdict form from the foreperson and hand it to Leonard. When Leonard saw the verdict, he coughed and shifted uncomfortably on his seat. He was lost for words and couldn't say or do anything for a few minutes.
Everyone in the room waited for the verdict. Kemisola whispered some silent prayers while Jeremy watched Leonard curiously.
"Here is the verdict," Leonard announced and looked up. "After hearing from both sides, the jury had concluded that Kemisola is not guilty as charged. She is hereby declared free from this moment and to be compensated by the government and Sola's family. The court orders for the immediate arrest of Hamilton's boys for the murder of sola and also under the law, Dr. John is hereby declared wanted for messing with the autopsy result. The jury is thanked and excused. I rise!" Leonard announced and stood up. He quickly rushed out of the courtroom to avoid getting questioned by the reporters present in the room. The feathers all stood up and quickly left the courtroom. Kyle falling gave Jeremy a thumb up before walking out of the courtroom into the arms of the reporters.
"I'm free!!!!" Kemisola shouted and jumped, she cried and hugged Jeremy. "Thank you so much."
"You are welcome," Jeremy replied with a smile.
"Kemi!," James rushed to hug his sister that was freed after five years. "Thank you so much, Jeremy," he said and hugged Jeremy. "I'm forever in your debt bro."
After the hug, the justice team all did a group hug for winning the case.
"Jeremy is the best man. I cannot believe that you are this smart Jeremy. Well done, "Kendra commented and pushed him on the shoulders.
" you did this!"Lara exclaimed.
"Not only I did this but we all did," Jeremy replied.
They all walk outside with happiness written clearly on their faces, the reporters rushed to them and began to ask questions.
"How do you feel when you won the case?"
"Is it true Hamilton's boys are rapists?"
"How do you feel after defeating Kyle falling?"
After Jeremy answered their questions, they turned to ask Kemisola questions while Jeremy walked to Daniel Hamilton who stood in one corner with a murderous look. Jeremy noticed him watching him from the corner.
"You do not have to hide because it's isn't over yet," Jeremy whispered. At first, Daniel gave no reply to him and continue to watch him. "Aren't you going to say anything?" Jeremy questioned him.
"Only a fool talks too much over a pointless victory. I was just wondering who gave you the balls to walk to me and ask me questions. Watch out little boy, it's not over yet!" Daniel shouted and walked out of the corner. The reporters quickly rushed to him but he was lucky to be pushed into the car by one of his bodyguards. When he got into the car, he gave Jeremy one last glance before the car drove away.
Jeremy stood shocked and couldn't find words to say. His ears were hearing a loud bell. His chest was beating faster and he could feel the sweat on his head dripping down his face. His hand began to shake as tried to recall the voice.
That voice was something he remembered from his childhood. That voice was the last thing he heard before he loose consciousness after his family died. That voice killed his family.
No one seems to notice the pain on his face because everyone seemed to be in a happy mood. He tried to shout for people to hear him but they were all too busy speaking with the reporters.
Jeremy clutches his chest and groaned out in pain. He cried as he collapsed onto the floor. The last thing he heard before closing his eyes was footsteps and a scream.
