Lara resumed the office the next day after she got the call that her suspension had been lifted. Lara walked into the building of LGPD with full confidence. Some detectives greeted her as she walked by while some chose to ignore her. When Lara got to her desk, she met her gun and badge on the desk and a welcoming note.
?? Welcome back to work. I hope you will work harder this time.

Lara reread the letter a few times before tearing it apart and dumping it into the trashcan beside her.
"Hello, I'm Dora and it's nice to meet you." Lara raised her head to the white lady in front of her. The lady didn't look familiar to her and she wondered if she was a recruit. "Sorry I didn't give a proper introduction to you. I'm Dora from CAPD(carbuja police department). I was transferred down here as a new replacement for Kayla. You know her right?"
"I know who Kayla was, " Lara said in a harsh tone and looked away from the lady. "Look I'm sorry for lashing out at you but Kayla was my friend and seeing you here reminds me of her." Lara apologized.
"It's okay, " Dora smiled and offered her hand for a shake with Lara.
Lara smiled and place her hand into Dora's. "Nice to meet you, Dora, I'm Lara Johnson."
"Oh, I know you," Dora confessed and Lara raised her brows to what she just said. "I mean I know you here in the office. Most of the detectives do talk a lot about you."
"Really?" Lara sneered, "Glad to see that the police department has turned into a gossip department." She scoffed and took her seat.
"Lara Johnson, " a male detective called from the entrance of the hallways. "The chief request your presence, " the male detective informed and went away.
"That's is my cue to go. See you around Dora..." Lara said and head towards the chief's office. When she got to the entrance of the office, she knocked and entered the office. Inside the office, she met munachi and another man discussing. Lara recognized the man as the deputy chief of police and she quickly salutes them as she entered.
"Sirs," she saluted.
"At ease, " the deputy said. "I guess it's my cue to leave, " the deputy stood up and left us.
"Did you get my letter?" Munachi asked and Lara nodded. "Good. I want you to work harder and who knows what might happen before the year runs out."
"You sent Kayla after me?" Lara accused.
"Excuse me, "
"With all due respect sir, you sent Kayla to kill me after you suspended me for speaking the truth," Lara stated.
"What are you even saying? Get the hell out of my office right now!" Munachi yelled and pointed to the door.
"I was suspended indefinitely for a month and few weeks and that is because you see me as a threat, " Lara scoffed and placed a hand on her chest." I'm happy to be back and the only thing I would be working hard on is to see you go to prison for killing Kayla and for all your dirty works, " Lara saluted him and headed to the door. As she grabbed the doorknob, munachi yelled and slammed his hand on his desk.
"You think you can change anything. Once you have the money and power, you can control anyone or anything. You are just like an ant and all it takes is crushing you with my feet." Munachi said angrily.
Lara chuckled but didn't turn, she opened the door and stopped at the entrance.
"Watch out cause this ant is out to destroy you, " Lara threatened and walked out of the office.
Munachi yelled and pushed everything on his desk to the floor. He was angry that a girl like Lara could talk to him like that.
"I am going to make her pay for saying such things to me, " munachi grinned as he thought of how his plan was going to work.

The protest against Daniel and his sons took a toll on Daniel and the feathers. Ever since the pictures and videos of Hamilton's boys molesting were posted online, angry young women had reacted angrily and went on a protest against Hamilton's boys. Every day, they all gathered together at the front of Daniel's company and protest against him and his son.
As if that wasn't enough for the feathers to deal with, Jeremy who was bent on destroying the feathers made a video that talks about Hamilton's boys. In this video, he talked about how the law was ignoring the people's protests.
"Hello everyone, this is anonymous," Mary said in a video but it wasn't showing her face. " I will be sharing with you a video of a renowned lawyer who cracked a case of murder and uncovers the truth about Hamilton's boys. Since I am anonymous, I won't be showing you my face and the only thing you'll be hearing is my voice. So, welcome Jeremy Akinsola." The video showed Jeremy who was seated in front of the camera. This video-making was another idea of Jeremy. He believed doing a video against Daniel and his son would make the people gain more interest in the case.
"Thank you for this beautiful interview anonymous. As she had introduced, I am Jeremy Akinsola."
"What do you have to say concerning the case of Hamilton's boys?" Mary asked.
"I have a lot to say but I'll just say a few things and end it there. If Hamilton's boys were to be normal people, they probably would have been prosecuted by the authorities now but because they have connections and power, the law is ignoring the people's protest against them. Even after providing solid evidence against them, the law didn't think that it's the right time for their sentence. This is injustice. Our country values power over the truth. These boys committed a huge crime but they are not persecuted. Although they have been charged for their crimes, the law hasn't done anything about it."
"What do you have to say to this Jeremy?"
"Thank you anonymous. The only thing I can say to this is that I am going to make sure that justice prevails. Sola didn't deserve to die and it was the same for the other victims. We all might think that this doesn't concern us but think about the fact that those girls and how they die. It is time to stand up against injustice and bring criminals like Hamilton's boys to justice. If you are in this fight with me, then I need you to know that sola and the other victims of Hamilton's boys would surely get the justice they deserved. "
"Thank you so much, attorney. Here is my little contribution to what Jeremy Akinsola had said. I believe that someone that is like Hamilton's boys is still out there and now is the right time to reveal all their secret. Remember that's justice start with you. I'm anonymous and when the right time comes, I'll show my face to the world." Mary ended the recording and gasped for breath.
"I think that was good enough. Right guys?" She asked the others who were present in the room.
"I think this was a good idea, Jeremy. " Kemisola commented and gave him a thumb up.
"So what next man, we need to deal with these feathers, and now is the right time, " Kendra stated.
"Let see the people's reaction to the video once Mary posted it on her blog then we can move on to our next plan," Jeremy informed.
"So I'll just edit the video and post it before night," Mary announced and began to work on her laptop.
"The feathers wouldn't know what hit them when they see the video, " Jeremy laughed and thought about the reaction of Daniel Hamilton once he saw the video.

As true to Jeremy's word, that evening, after mary posted the video online, the people reacted to it and before they knew it, the video had hit a million views and it was still counting.
The feathers didn't react to the video well most especially Daniel Hamilton.
"Are you all looking at how we are crumbling to the ground?" Daniel questioned the feathers after watching the video online. Because of the huge protests of the people, none of the feathers left their houses so they all had a meeting on a video call.
"Calm down Daniel, " Simone implored.
"Are you crazy Simone?" Daniel screamed at her. "My reputation is down the line and all that is all you could think of!"
Due to the outburst of Daniel, the remaining feathers remain silent and didn't say a word for a few minutes.
"Ain't you going to say anything concerning this?" Daniel questioned after he had calmed down.
Park was the first to react. He yawned and shook his head at what Daniel said. "Since you didn't want to calm down, how are we supposed to say anything? You just lashed out at someone and you think anyone wants your anger." He pointed out.
Leonard cleared his throat and opened his mouth to speak but Daniel cut him off.
"I am going to kill that boy!!! I am going to feed his corpse to the bed of the air, " Daniel threatened.
"Your silly threats would get you nowhere. How are you going to kill him?" It was Alissa who spoke up this time, she clicked her tongue and told Daniel his ideas were stupid.
"What do you expect me to do? Sit around and watch as my reputation go down!"
"Refrain from shouting at me Daniel. I'm only trying to help help you. It was your son's fault anyway not mine, " Alissa replied angrily and end the video chat on her side.
The rest of the feathers were shocked at Alissa's anger.
"I think now is not the time for this video chat, " munachi said, "maybe we should continue this when our heads are relaxed."
"I agree with munachi. Let reschedule this meeting for later, " Leonard said and they all agreed and ended the video chats.
Meanwhile, Daniel paced around his room and thought of what to do. He wanted to kill Jeremy and end everything but how was he going to do that without raising questions from the people. He couldn't just sit around and do nothing. He had to do something or he will lose everything.

Purple house, carbuja.
President olusola sat down in his office listening to a report from the minister of affairs when someone burst into his office.
"Mr. President, you need to see this." Minister Edmund hurriedly entered the president's office.
(Remember president olusola and minister Edmund from episode 9. They are back!!!)
"I tried to stop him sir but he said he had to see you, " olusola's bodyguard who stood at the president's door apologized.
"That's alright mark. Go back to your post, " olusola ordered. The guard bow and left the office. "What do you have to say, minister Edmund? Can't you see that I'm in a meeting right now?"
"That could wait, " Edmund said and turned to face the other monster that was seating opposite the president. "I'm sorry minister of affairs but this is an important discussion. Please wait outside, thank you."
The minister of affairs looked at the president's face for any objection and when he sees none, he walked out of the office.
"That's was rude, " olusola remarked.
"It can wait olusola, " Edmund addressed him casually and took a seat opposite him.
"What is it you wanted to tell me?"
Edmund dropped the phone he was holding on the table and played a video. The video of Jeremy came up and Edmund pointed for the president to watch.
"It seems Daniel Hamilton is in a big problem" Edmund laughed.
"Who is this lawyer that has the gut to stand up against Daniel?" Olusola asked as he watched the video.
"I searched him up online and found out that he is a renowned lawyer. This could be of help to us. We can use this boy to get rid of the feathers or what do you think?"
Olusola dropped the phone on his hand down and faced Edmund. "I want a background check on him before we decide on anything."
"Alright, " Edmund replied. "I'll leave you to your meeting but think about what I've just said, Mr. President. " Edmund said and left the office.
Olusola buried his head in his hand and thought of how he had been a puppet president because of Daniel Hamilton. He couldn't do anything because they held more power than him. Daniel and the feathers were the ones who bought him to this position. He wanted to get rid of them but that means his dirty little secret would be surfaced. He could use the lawyer as bait for the feathers and once he catches them, he can eliminate the lawyer to avoid problems. For now, all he needs is to help the lawyer get rid of the feathers even if it would affect him. Only time would tell what would happen soon. Olusola grinned and picture the defeats of the feathers.
