After the unfortunate incident at the city park, Lisa was rushed into STAND hospital. It was the closest hospital to the city park. Mary and kemisola followed the ambulance to the hospital while Kendra and Paul drove behind the Ambulance. Lisa was rushed into the operating theatre as soon as they got to the hospital.
"Wait here," one of the doctors instructed Mary and Kemisola to wait outside the operating room.
"Okay," Mary answered back and took the waiting chairs outside the room.
Kemisola paced around the hallways with her arms folded together. "This shouldn't have happened." She voiced out.
Soon, Kendra and Paul arrived at the hospital and saw them in the hallways. Kendra rushed to Kemisola and called her name. "Kemi," she called.
Kemisola turned her head to face the person who was calling her and she was shocked when she found out who it was. She gasped but quickly covered her mouth.
"Kendra," Mary stood up from where she sat and stared at Kendra like she was a ghost.
"I know you are surprised to see me but I can explain," Kendra quickly tells them.
"Explain!" Kemisola shouted at her. "We searched for you. My brother put his life online for you. We thought something happened."
When Kendra opened her mouth to speak, Mary shut her up by embracing her. "Where have you being?" Mary simply asked.
Kendra sighed and then explained everything that had happened to her from when she was attacked and when she was found on the street. The only part she left out was when Yomi found her on the street.
"That's bad. I am happy you are fine." Mary said to her.
"How is Lisa?" Kendra questioned.
It was Kemisola who answered her question. She looked at Mary and pointed an accusing finger at her. "She is in a critical stage because of her."
"Don't blame me," Mary retorted. "I didn't do anything wrong." She defended herself.
"Really?" Kemisola scoffed and click her tongue. "You did something when you posted that video. As if that wasn't enough, you went ahead to plan a stupid protest which...."
Mary didn't let her finished as she cut her off and replied. "You keep blaming me for everything. You blamed me for your brother's kidnap and now this," she shouted at Kemisola. "Why are you acting like a coward?"
"I am not a coward. You are just selfish. You don't care about putting anyone in danger as long as you get what you want. That's why Linda is dead. It's all because of you." Kemisola accused.
Mary stood dumbfounded and couldn't say anything. The only thing that could be heard from her was her silent sobs. She walked back to the chair and buried her face in her hand.
"That's was out of it. You shouldn't have talked about Linda like that." Kendra scolded her. She had been watching them exchange words but decides not to interrupt them because she felt they could settle the fight but Kemisola's last words were cruel to ignore.
"Well, it not my fault she couldn't handle the truth," Kemisola said.
"You are a bitch!" Mary stood up and pointed a finger at Kemisola's face.
"Don't call me that. you are the bitch here." Kemisola retorted.
"Enough girls." Kendra tried to stop them but they shut her up.
"Shut up!"
The three all began to argue at once and their voices were really loud that which attract some nurses and doctors.
"Girls!" Paul shouted.
They all turned to look at him. "Who the hell are you?" Kemisola asked him.
"Can you all stop shouting? This is an operating area." One of the doctors scolded them. "Shush," he said. "No noise is allowed here or I'll throw you out of the hospital." He threatened and then walked away from them with the nurses and doctors following behind.
"That's what I was trying to tell you guys. Your voices were too loud." Paul told them.
"Who are you again?" Mary questioned him. "Are you one of the doctors?"
"No, I'm not." He answered. "My name is Paul Kennedy." He introduced.
"He is a friend of mine," Kendra added.
"So what?" Kemisola asked in a harsh tone.
Kendra sighed briefly and then explained the whole truth behind her kidnapping and Paul Kennedy. When she finished, Kemisola and Mary both looked at each other as they were both shocked to discover the real truth.

Meanwhile, that evening Daniel Hamilton held a press conference in one of his halls. He invited a lot of reporters from different TV stations to the conference. His purpose was to talk about his project and deny all the allegations against him.
"I do not know who Mary Adeitan is. I have no business with her." He stated.
"Quick question sir," A man wearing a purple ID card around his neck raised his hand. The ID signifies that he was from a news TV called OURS.
Daniel nodded at him to proceed with the question.
"What I'm about to ask isn't based on Mary Adeitan's allegations." The reporter said.
"Go on," Daniel encouraged.
"Your new project is almost done. What are your plans once you've launched the project." He asked.
Daniel smiled at the reporter. It seems he was impressed by the questions. "The new project will create a lot of job opportunities for those who are seeking employment."
The reporter nodded in satisfaction and smiled at Daniel. Another reporter raised her hand to ask a question. "I have a question to ask and it concerning the protest held today by Mary Adeitan."
Daniel shifted uncomfortably on his seat but encouraged the reporter to proceed.
"This afternoon, a peaceful protest turned into a bloody one. Do you have anything to do with it?" She asked.
"No, I don't."
"Alright, sir. Some allegations are going on about you being involved in Jeremy Akinsola's death. Everyone knows Jeremy Akinsola was a freedom fighter but his death was a mystery. How true is this sir?" She questioned.
Daniel forced himself to smile at the reporter and the blinding light from the cameras in the room. "All the allegations are false. I have nothing to do with Jeremy Akinsola. I don't even know him that well."
"Alright sir," the female reporter said and proceeded to ask another question. "What about the news about your sons? Are they also rumors? Mary Adeitan accused your sons of raping her friend. Can you tell us if it's the truth or not?"
Daniel balled his hand into a fist and glared at the reporter. He looked closely at the ID around her neck and saw the name of his TV news on it. It was TRUE TV. When Daniel opened his mouth to reply to him, the reporter beat him to it. "Another question sir? she requested. " we also heard that Jeremy Akinsola was working on this rape case before he died. Was his death connected to the allegations against your son?"
Daniel slammed his hand on the large table in front of him. He was angry at the accusations the reporter was throwing at him. If he had his ways, he would have shot the woman dead. "Be mindful of your questions reporter," Daniel warned but it sounded more like a threat.
The reporter visibly gulped and quickly apologized.
Daniel sighed at her and gave a reply. " as I said earlier, all the allegations are false. Jeremy Akinsola was a pure coincidence to My son's case. To Mary Adeitan, I must apologize for the death of her friend. I hope the perpetrators faced the law."
"So sir," the female reporter raised her hand again for another question but Daniel waved her off.
"No further questions." He told her.
Some of the other reporters asked questions concerning his projects and he was happy to reply. Those who questioned Mary Adeitan were ignored until the conference came to an end.
As soon as the press conference came to an end, Daniel steps out of the hall with his Four hefty men around him. When he reached outside the hall, another swarm of reporters rushed at him to question him about Mary Adeitan and the protests. As if that wasn't enough, some mobs that were already waiting outside for him attacked him. His bodyguards did all they could to stop them from attacking but it was futile.
Daniel was hit by stones, sticks, and bottles. He was badly injured but the case of his bodyguards was worst, they were beaten up by the angry mobs.
"Die! You wicked man."
Begone!
You killed my sister.
You don't deserve to live.
It took the grace of Daniel's driver to save them from the angry mobs and reporters. The bodyguards quickly took the time to rushed Daniel Hamilton into the waiting car. It was when Daniel Hamilton was safely inside his car that he noticed the crimson red pooling out of his head.
When he arrived at his mansion, he was met with something else. He found from some of his men that Lara and James had escaped. It was as if the world was against him that day. Daniel ignored the aching pain on his head and rushed down to his underground building. There he met the two guards lying unconscious on the ground. "Where are they?" Daniel demanded.

Escaping from Daniel's Mansion was one thing and abandoning the white Venza by the side of the road which was few miles from Daniel Hamilton's Mansion. Lara and James walked away from the car without looking back.
"How are you feeling?" James asked Lara.?
"Exhausted," she replied. "But I'm happy we escaped." She added.
"Let's take a cab from here. For all, I know Daniel Hamilton could be after us."
"Alright." Lara agreed. She looked around where they were and couldn't help but sighed deeply. It was a one-way road and each side had beautiful trees. Lara inhaled the freshness of the forest and smiled when she realized that she was finally free from Daniel Hamilton. She could finally get her revenge for her family. She couldn't wait to ruin Daniel Hamilton and the feathers.
"What are you thinking of?" James asked her.
Lara opened her eyes and smiled at him.
"I just hailed a Cab and you didn't realize that. " James pointed to the yellow cab in front of them.
"Are you going or not?" The cab driver asked them.
"Sorry," Lara apologized to the cab driver. "Land road." She said to the driver and entered the cab.?
"Why land road?" James asked and also entered the cab.?
"There is something I need to get from there." She answered back.
The ride to the land road was in silence as none of them spoke to each other. James laid his head and on the seat with his eyes closed while Lara faced the window side and appreciated the cool breeze blowing on her face. Everything was calm until the cab driver decided to turn on the Radio.
"The protest held by Mary Adeitan at the city park today had resulted into a bloody one. A woman identifies as Lisa was shut shot down today by a sniper. She was been rushed to the stand hospital but there has been no news about her."
James quickly opened his eyes when he heard the news about Mary and Lisa. Lara turned to face him and they both looked at each other for a while.
"I thought you said they left for Mandoe." It was Lara who first spoke and stopped the staring competition they were having.
"I told them to leave for Mandoe and now this had happened."
"Daniel Hamilton was also attacked the afternoon by angry mobs. He was badly injured by the mobs."
"Serves him right." The cab driver commented.
Lara and James looked at each other again and then looked back at the cab driver.
"Can you take us to Stand Hospital?" Lara requested.
"I can but it would attract an extra charge." The cab driver replied.
"Alright." James nodded.
"Are you friends with Mary Adeitan?" The cab driver asked but neither Lara nor James replied to him.
They were still shocked that something bad had happened to Lisa. "I hope she is fine."
