Chapter 57

Two days left for the feathers launch party.
Mary woke up to Lisa and kemisola shouting her name. Kemisola was the first to enter Mary's room.
"Mary!" She shouted.
Mary opened her eyes and saw two pairs of glaring eyes staring back at her. "Why are you shouting my name like that?"
"Are you insane?" Kemisola questioned back.
Mary sat up on the bed and faced an angry Kemisola. "What did I do wrong?"
"You are insane if you are pretending that you don't know what I am talking about. What is this Mary?" Kemisola showed her a video on her phone screen. It was the video Mary recorded the night before.
"So?" Mary shrugged.
"That's is all you have to say?" Kemisola yelled. "You are putting yours and our lives in danger. How could you not think about the consequence before you post the video?" Kemisola shouted at her.
"Do not shout at me. If you feel this is too much for you then you can leave." Mary retorted.
Kemisola gasped and then moved to drag Mary out of the bed. When they were standing face to face, Kendra pointed an accusing finger at her. "You are a wicked being. I told you we couldn't stay but you disagreed and then you went ahead to post a video that you shouldn't have posted."
Mary grabbed kemisola's hand and raised it." I am not wicked. I only did what was right and it doesn't concern you."
"Of course it does," kemisola quickly responded and freed her hand from Mary's grip. "You are putting our lives in danger."
"I am not putting anybody in danger. You are just a coward that is afraid to die."
Kemisola gasped and was about to respond to Mary's accusation but Lisa came between them. Lisa stood between them and looked at both girls.
"I think that's enough," she said calmly. Lisa looked from one girl to the other again and then she sighed briefly. "You both are acting like kids. We need to find a way to solve this not fighting one another." She scolded like a mother will do to her children.
"No one is fighting here Lisa," Mary was the first to speak up. "She is just a coward." Mary pointed to Kemisola.
"I am not a coward." Kemisola retorted.
"Enough!" Lisa shouted at both of them. "Not another word. Please," she begged. "Mary has posted the video so we need to help her out."
"I don't need helping, I...." Mary interrupted her.
Lisa smacked her on the head and shook her head at her." That's not the kind of help I am talking about. All I am saying is that I am in support of the protests. This is the only way to get the feathers."
Mary gasped and opened her mouth as she was surprised that Lisa supported the video she posted. "Thank you so much, Lisa," she said and hugged her.
"Oh!" Lisa exclaimed as she was pulled into a tight embrace. "Check out your blog, it has millions of views all around the world."
"What?" Mary let go of Lisa and rushed to her laptop that was on the top of her desk. She opened her laptop and gasped when she saw thousands of messages on her blog. "OMG!" She shouted joyfully. "It looks like we have a lot of supporters except someone," she pointed to Kemisola.
"Don't point at Me. I am just trying to make sure we are safe. The feathers are probably planning an attack now so I am scared that something bad might happened to any of us." Kemisola sounded concerned as she said those words.
Mary pulled her for an embrace and said some encouraging words. "It's okay Kemi. I understand your concern but this is the only way to let the world know that the feathers are not good people. We are going to be fine." She assured her.
"If everyone is good with this then I am in," Kemisola announced and the three women hugged each other. "It's time to stand up and fight for justice. I am a victim and I am not standing down." Kemisola shouted and the other ladies clapped their hands.
"Yay," Lisa shouted joyfully and clapped her hands. " let's go kick some ass. I have called Elijah and some of the circle community. They should be here before the protests start."
"Very good," Mary commented. "Go on and prepare while I reply to some messages from my thousands of followers." She winked at the ladies.
Kemisola rolled her eyes at her while Lisa burst into laughter. The two ladies encouraged her and then walked out of the room.
Mary stretched her neck and hand and then she started typing furiously on her laptops.

"Why would she post such a thing?" Yomi commented as he finished watching the video posted by Mary.
The video Mary posted had gone viral that everyone in the country had seen it. Yomi, Kendra, and Jeremy were among the millions who had seen the video and it wasn't what they expected. None of them expected the video from Mary. It came as a shock to every one of them.
"What's wrong with Mary's post?" Kendra questioned him.
"She is putting herself and the others in danger," Yomi replied to her.
"You are dumb if that's your reply," Kendra said to him. "This isn't bad. Mary is a courageous person."
"And that's courage is going to lead to her end. Look at what happened to Jeremy when he started fighting against the feathers."
"What happened to me Yomi?" Jeremy questioned him.
"You died and rose back to life," Kendra replied to his question. "Yomi is right about how powerful the feathers are but we have solid proofs against them. We have proof that they are terrorists, killers, and lawbreakers. We can use that to support Mary's video. "
Jeremy nodded his head in agreement and then shook his head in disagreement at the same time. " we can do that but now isn't the time. We have plan Becca already."
" I agree with the plan Becca but Lara is going to be dead before that time," Kendra informed them.
Paul cleared his throat to gain attention and then pointed to the screen of his phone that was showing Mary's video. "We need to help your friends. The feathers are probably after them by now. We need to help them out."
"Paul is right. We need to help them." Celina added. "They are in grave danger right now. The protests ground would be safe for the others but it won't be for your friends."
" so what do we do now?" Kendra questioned all of them.
"If we reveal the feathers video now then our plan will be ruined. We need to get to the protest ground and warned Mary and the others about the feathers agenda." Jeremy suggested.
"Your suggestions are somehow stupid," Kendra replied to him. "If you go to the protests ground then plan Becca would be destroyed and also your faces would be revealed. The people would quickly turn against Mary. "
"So what do you suggest?" Paul questioned her.
"The only option here is going with one of you to protest ground. They think I am missing so if I go there, it would be a surprise but not as huge as theirs." Kendra said and pointed to yomi and Jeremy.
"That's a good idea. If you are going then I'll come with you." Paul volunteered.
"No, I'll come with her." Yomi quickly said.
"Are you stupid?" Kendra asked him and when he didn't reply, she said. " going with me is going to reveal your identity."
"But you ain't safe. You are injured and ......."
"Fine." Kendra cut yomi off and smiled at him. "We would be fine and if anything happens you can come and get us," Kendra said to him.
Yomi nodded in agreement.
"So, what do you think about going now?" Paul asked Kendra.
"If you are game then I am," Kendra replied.
"So let's get going. The protest started in an hour and the drive from this mansion to the protest ground is like an hour drive." Paul informed her.
"Alright, let's get going." Kendra stood up from the couch she sat on.
Yomi quickly moved closer to her and hugged her. "Be safe and make sure you call me." He told her.
Kendra rolled her eyes and smiled at him. "I will be fine so let go of me!" Kendra shouted and pushed him away. "Stop acting like a fucking leech." She said jokingly. "Let's go Paul Kennedy."

Daniel Hamilton slammed his hand on his glass center table and it broke into pieces. He took his phone that was playing Mary's video and threw it across the room. The phone hit the wall and broke into pieces that scattered into the living room. Daniel couldn't contain his anger as he destroyed everything in his living room including his TV and couches
"Haaaa," he screamed.
Daniel walked out of his living room and headed straight to his parking lot. When he got there, he opened the door that leads to the underground building. When he got there, he spoke with the men guarding the door and they opened the door for him. Daniel entered the building and made the guards shut the door behind him.
Lara and James whispered to each other ad they heard footsteps approaching. When the door to the building opened, Daniel Hamilton entered and it made their heart jumped for a while.
Is it their time?
"Well, well, well," Daniel announced his presence as he walked in.
"What do you want?" Lara questioned him.
"What I want?" Daniel asked her and then he burst into laughter. "What I want is making sure all my plans for the next twenty years come to pass," he said.
Daniel Hamilton took a seat opposite Lara and he raised her head to face him. "Don't try to bite my ear off today because if you do, it would be the last thing you ever do." He warned.
"Don't worry, I won't bite off your ear but I'll do something worst if you just free my hands," Lara replied with a wicked smile. "Are you scared that I would bite your old ass down?"Lara laughed.
Daniel glared at her for a while and then he started laughing. "I'll like to see you try. I didn't come for a chit-chat with you, I came for him." He pointed to James.
"What do you want from him?" Lara questioned him.
Daniel didn't reply to her instead he stood up and walked up to James.
He whistled and the two men guarding the door came into the building with a chair. The men grabbed James and tied him to the chair.
"What are you doing to him?" Lara shouted.
"This is an electric chair and if you fail to answer any of my questions then I'll turn it on," Daniel told her.
"Why are you doing this?" Lara asked.
"I'll call it hard work," Daniel replied with a smile. Daniel beckoned to one of the men and he came with his phone. On the screen was the video Mary posted online. Daniel played the video and showed it to Lara. He observed Lara as she watched the video and then he smiled.
James recognized Mary's voice as the video played but he couldn't see the video because he was being tied to an electric chair.
"I presume you know her." Daniel stopped the video and gave the phone back to his guard.
Lara didn't reply instead she looked at James.
Daniel snapped his finger and one of the men turned on the electric chair.
James's body was quick to react to the shock as his body shook vigorously. "Haaaaaaa," he screamed.
"Stop!" Lara shouted. "Please stop," she begged. "I'll tell you whatever you want to hear."
Daniel smiled and beckoned for the men to stop. "Tell me everything you know or I'll increase the voltage which will lead to an immediate death." He threatened. " who is she and where is the evidence of Andre confessing to the feathers crime?" He asked her.
Lara looked at James who was still groaning in pain as a result of the shock. When their eyes met, James shook his head at her and whispered some incoherent words. Lara fight the tears that threatened to fall and she whispered I am sorry to him then she began to tell Daniel Hamilton everything she knew.
When Daniel Hamilton left, the two men untied him from the electric chair and tied him back to the pillar opposite Lara then they left.
"I am sorry," Lara apologized. She didn't want to tell Daniel Hamilton about the others and at the same time, she couldn't bear to see James dead let alone dying.
"I understand you but we need to leave here and warn the others," James told her.
"But how do we do that?"
James smiled and pulled out a knife he stole from one of the men. When James was grabbed and dragged to the chair by one of the men, he sighted a knife in his pocket. James thinks about how he could grab the knife and he took his chance when he was untied from the chair.
"The knife would help but how do we get out of here without getting noticed."
James didn't reply but only smiled at her. Looks like he got a better plan on his mind.
