One day ago,
Purple house, Carbuja.
Jeremy was lead into the president's office by the president's secretary. When they got inside, Jeremy was offered a seat on a leather couch opposite the president and minister Edmund.
"You may leave and please bring some wine," The president said to his secretary.
The secretary bows and left the office and soon, she returned with some servants holding a glass of wine.
"Before we began, let's make a toast." President olusola raised his glass of wine and beckoned Jeremy to do the same.
Jeremy raised his glass of wine and smiled at the president.?
"Here is to our future. A new future!" President olusola toasted and raised his glass of wine up.
Jeremy and minister Edmund also do the same and click their wine cup together before drinking the wine.
"Mr. President sir, I have been thinking about this all through the next. But what is your true reason for wanting to see me?" Jeremy dropped his wine cup and looked at the president.
"Good question Jeremy," president olusola replied and also dropped his wine cup on the table. "I called you here because I admire you. You are a young ambitious man who loves people more than I do. The people praised you than me." President olusola laughed. "I called you here because I want us to bring the feathers down."
As soon as the president said that, Jeremy eyed him suspiciously and cleared his throat. "You want us to bring the feathers down?" Jeremy asked and the president nodded. "But you are the president." He stated.
"Being the president doesn't mean you are lucky. Sometimes I feel being the president is a curse. The citizens don't know the hardship the president of a country goes through." President olusola pointed out sadly.
"I am sorry to hear that sir but you don't put your people on your priority because if you did, then the people won't point fingers at you. It so clear that you have neglected your people. " Jeremy said and the room grew silent. President Edmund gasped while the president just laughed.
"How dare you say that?" Edmund said and pointed an accusing finger at Jeremy. "You can be punished for what you've just said."
"Let's it be Edmund. He is a guest
" president olusola said calmly.
"If you are here because you think we can bring the feathers down then I must say that's you have wasted your time because Jeremy Akinsola will never work with you," Jeremy said and stood up from the leather couch but he soon stumbled and fell to the ground. "What's is going on with me?" He touched his chest as he struggled to breathe.
President Olusola laughed and stood up from his leather couch. "I knew you will turn down my offer because you are just like your father," Olusola said and burst into laughter.
"Y--you know my father?" Jeremy questioned.
"Let's just say Abraham and I were once friends twenty years ago. You are just like your father. Pure, loved by the people and honest." Olusola paced around the room and then he walked towards his window and looked outside. "Daniel Hamilton is a powerful man and he has more power than me so he planned this whole scheme."
Jeremy groaned out in pain and held his chest tightly. It was burning him and he was slowly losing consciousness. He struggled to keep his eyes open but he couldn't as he continued to fall dizzy. "What did you give me?" He questioned.
"It not poison if that's what you think. It's just a drug that drives you crazy and pushes you to the verge of suicide," olusola told him and then he began to laugh. "You know the funny thing about this drug? It controls your mind and changes how you feel and the worst part of it is that it makes you go crazy if you take too much and I had made sure my secretary adds a substantial amount into your wine."
"Why are you doing this?" Jeremy shouted.
"Because you are obstacles towards my goal and that of the feathers. I participated in the case that happened with your father twenty years ago and I also participated in the plane crash that happens months ago. Think of what would happen if my secrets got out. It would be the end of my goal." Olusola stated.
"You are a devil and you are going to pay for this," Jeremy told him.
Olusola yelled and walked to Jeremy. "When? Is it when you start acting crazy In the next few? minutes or when you commit? suicide?" He teased and touched Jeremy's face. "Sleep," he commanded.
"Yo- you and ....." Jeremy struggled to say.
"Don't fight the drug boy." Olusola interrupted him and closed his eyes. "Goodbye Akinsola." He said and stood up.
Jeremy's breathing became heavy and soon he had blacked out.
"What do we do about him?" Minister Edmund questioned the president.
"We will stick to our plan," olusola replied.

Yomi got to Carbuja late due to a weird storm that occurs along their way. When he finally arrived at Carbuja, he took a private car to the purple house.
As soon as he got there, he requested an audience with the president but it was turned down and Yomi was kicked out of the premises.
Being the stubborn and persistent type, Yomi waited patiently and watched the movement in and out of the purple house through his binoculars. When Jeremy arrived at the purple house, yomi saw him and he waited for him to come out.
After few hours of waiting outside and there was no sign of him coming out, Yomi came out of his hiding place and head towards the purple house but as he got closer, he saw two hefty men lifting a man whose face was covered and they were looking suspicious. Yomi quickly hid and watched the scenario In front of him. The man was lifted into a sleek black car and soon the car drove out of the purple house.
"Who could that be?" Yomi thought as he watched the car drove out of the purple house. Yomi looked at the purple house and then looked towards the direction of the car.
"I will be back for you Jeremy," Yomi promised and walked off to where he parked the private car he had rent. He got into the car and followed the sleek black car.
Yomi followed the car for a whole fifty minutes but it seems it has no direction.
"Is this a distraction?" Yomi questioned himself as he saw the car taking a left turn for the fourth time. "What's are they doing?" Yomi said and also took the left turn. The black car in front drove straight without making a turn and when it finally stopped. It stopped at the edge of a cliff.
"What the hell are they doing there?" Yomi watched them from afar.
He watched the two heft men coming out of the car with the man they covered his face. They removed the face cover and Yomi gasped as soon as he saw the man's face.
"Jeremy," Yomi whispered and got off his car. "How could Jeremy be here?" He questioned himself and headed towards the black car.
The two hefty men shoved Jeremy into the driver's seat and start the car.
"No!" Yomi shouted and headed towards them.
"Who are you?" One of the hefty men pointed a finger at Yomi. "You shouldn't be here." He said to yomi.
"Deal with him while I set this man on fire." The other man said and proceed to press the button of the remote in his hand but yomi rushed to him and pushed him to the ground. The remote dropped from his hand and moved inches from his reach. Yomi got on the hefty man and punched him in the face. The man kicked him on his right leg and pushed him off.
Yomi landed on the ground and quickly stood up. He faced the two hefty that looked at him as if he was their prey.
"Who sent you here?" One of them asked him.
"It doesn't matter because I am going to kill you both," Yomi announced and looked at the car. It was moving towards the cliff and if yomi didn't act fast, Jeremy might die in that car.
The hefty men rushed to yomi and tried to punch him at the same time but yomi got hold of one of them and kicked the other in the face. They both fell to the ground and before they could get up, yomi shot them both on their legs.
"Fuck," they both cursed at the same time.
Yomi walked to where the remote was and held it in his hand then he walked back to the hefty men. "Who sent you?" He asked them and when they didn't answer, he shot them again on their legs. "Who sent you?" He yelled.
"I'll confess," one of them said but the other tried to shut him up.
"Shut up Simon," he shouted at him.
"If I tell you, would you let me stay alive?" The one named Simone begged and Yomi nodded at him. "It was the president. He wanted to make the attorney's death look like a suicide."
"You work for the president?" Yomi inquired but Simon shook his head.
"No," he replied and looked at the other hefty man. "My brother and I were hired for this job." He explained.
"That's very good," Yomi said and walked towards the car. He entered into it and quickly reversed back. He got Jeremy out of the car and placed him on the ground.
"Even if you save him, he would be crazy all through his life." The other hefty man said.
"What do you mean by that?" Yomi questioned angrily.
The man laughed and continued laughing even when yomi grabbed by the collar of his shirt. "He is hopeless because he was fed with a drug that makes one go crazy and think of all his bad memories. Even if you save him now, he would find a way to kill himself." The man said and then laughed. "It all pointless."
Yomi held him by the throat and said. "Even if it's pointless, I'll try to save him and because this was all your plan, how about I use you as a sacrifice instead of him," Yomi said and pulled the man up. He dragged him towards the car and shoved him into the driver's seat. "How about you become Jeremy Akinsola?" Yomi grinned. He handcuffs the man to the steering wheel and waved at him.
"Wait, you can't do this to me. " the man protested and struggle to remove the cuff.
Yomi smiled and walked to where he laid Jeremy. He took his wallet out and a ring he doe wear about. He went back to the black car and forcefully wear the ring on the man's hand and then he threw Jeremy's wallet on the man's lap. "Adios," he said to the man and pushed the car towards the cliff.
"What are you doing?" Simon protested. You can't kill my brother!" He shouted.
"But you had no problem in killing a man just now," Yomi told him and dragged him from the floor. He pushed him towards the cliff and whispered into his ears. "Keeping you alive would be a mistake so why don't you just be me,, Yomi told him and removed the tags he received as a soldier and wear them on Simon's neck. "This is very precious I have got nothing to lose. " Yomi said and shoved him into the car. "Goodbye," he waved at them and then pushed the car with all his might. Having nothing to support the car, it began to Fall down the cliff and before it reaches the ground, Yomi pressed the button in his hand and the car exploded before it reaches the ground.
