Two days later,
After the press conference held by Daniel and the feathers, words soon spread across the country about Jeremy Akinsola. All those who supported him soon turned their back against him and only a five in hundreds believed him. The government confiscated some of his properties including his mansion. Kendra and the rest of the justice had to move out and found a temporary place to stay.
"I can't believe it all going to end like this, " Kendra commented sadly as soon as they got to Lara's apartment. It was a small apartment but it was big enough to accommodate three people.
"Are we all going to watch as Jeremy's legacy goes down? Are we going to neglect and abandon all he has worked for?" Mary questioned them all.
"They didn't even let us see his body. Which is sad." Lisa cried and wiped the tears off her face with a handkerchief.
"Who owns his properties now?" Kemisola questioned.
"The feathers, " Lara replied.
"What are we going to do? We can't just let Jeremy's plan end like that." Kendra stated.
"I agree with Kendra on this one, " Lara said and stood up from where sat. "We have the proofs Jeremy left behind and if we investigate more on it, we can bring the feathers down." She told them all.
"We can't risk our lives with these people. They are dangerous." James admitted. "Look at what they did to Jeremy. Look at what happened to him."
"Are you giving up because you are a coward?" Kendra scoffed. "I didn't expect such cowardly word to come from you. If you were in similar situations, Jeremy would have done the same for you. Why are you being so selfish?" She questioned angrily and slammed her hand on the glass table in front of her.
"I am not being selfish. I am just telling you that it's hard to fight against this kind of people." James retorted.
"Your point is?" Kemisola glared at her brother as she asked the question.
"My point is that we need to plan very well before facing the feathers. I am going to help you set up a plan. I am not giving up because this is our fight. I don't just want us risking our lives." James told them all. "Yomi and Jeremy were like my brothers and it's so sad that we didn't get to bury them. We are going to avenge their death but first, let's take a break from the feathers life." James said with a promise that he held close to his heart. He wasn't going to allow Jeremy's and Yomi's death to be in vain. He was going to make sure they pay for their sins.
"So, what's next?" Kendra inquired and fold her arms. "I can't wait to crush these stupid feathers or whatever their names are." She said.
"Here is the plan, " James began to tell them all the plan he had set up for the feathers. "I am not a master planner like Jeremy but this would do."
"Your plan is good, " Kemisola commented. "Somehow, Daniel? got his kids out of prison."
"That's is one of our plans," Lara stated and breathe heavily as she thought about Jeremy and Yomi. She knew she missed them, most especially Jeremy.
"Are you alright?" Lisa asked her.
"I'm fine. It's just that I missed them so much, " Lara tried hard not to burst into but she eventually did. "It's so hard to forget them, " she added.
"Yeah, " Kendra soon joined in the crying and they both embrace each other as they cried.
Kemisola couldn't hold back her tears as she fell into her brother's arm and wept.
It was a day of tears and tears. Jeremy was gone and he wasn't coming back.

The feathers who had successfully begun their project plan threw a party and invited the prominent all around the country. It was a day of celebration and merriment. They had conquered their greatest enemy and had also started their project plan.
It was indeed a happy ceremony.
"I welcome all of you to this wonderful gathering, " Alissa greeted heartily. She wears a pretty smile on her face. A smile that was as pretty as her body-con Versace red dress and her sparkling diamond necklace and earrings. "Tonight is indeed a wonderful night as we've all gathered here to announced the commission of our project which is, " She paused and looked at the faces of the people inside the hall.
"Building the world's tallest skyscraper but this skyscraper has an exception. It isn't just going to be the world's tallest skyscraper but it's also going to be the world's most beautiful building and also we are going to beat a record which is building 102 floors in just a year, " She announced and they all clapped. "The project is going to cost a lot so we urge you all to please support our project with any token you have. Thank you and have a good evening." She ended her speech and came down from the stage.
Daniel went on to the stage and greeted everyone. He was also dressed in a lavish Tuxedo and a pair of Louis Vuitton black shoes. " thank you for gracing our presence. Like Alissa has announced, it's is our goal to achieve this in a year. Our skyscraper is going to be the world's best." He announced and they all clapped. As he moved on to announce his next speech, Andre came to him and whispered into his ears.
Daniel cleared his throat and smiled at all the people in the room.
"It seems someone in this room love and supports the feathers. Someone had donated a total sum of $150million." Daniel announced and a loud cheer resounded in the hall. "Whoever this is, I appreciate you for your donations." He said and looked at the faces of everyone in the room.
Meanwhile, a man whose face was covered with a mask hurriedly walked out of the hall. As he got outside, he placed an iPhone in his ears and whispered some words. "Done. What next?" The masked man said to the person he was on the phone with and entered into a limousine that's was parked outside the hall.
Back in the hall, Daniel had ended his speech and was in a gathering with feathers. They all sat around a large table decorated with chandeliers and roses.
"So the? people made a lot of donations?" Simone asked.
"Yes, a couple of dollars and some are already asking for a share once the building is completed. Fools, " Daniel cursed angrily.
"But, someone donates a huge amount of money. You have any idea who it's might be?" Leonard questioned Daniel.
Daniel shifted on his chair and shook his head. "I have no idea and whomsoever it might be, I M grateful." He said.
"Don't be thankful yet," Alissa told him. " This could mean something later in the future," she said with a serious look. "Don't get too comfortable. Getting rid of Jeremy Akinsola doesn't mean you don't have enemies. You do."
"What is your point?" Daniel questioned with an angry look.
"I am only telling you to be mindful and careful. Don't get comfortable now that you've conquered that boy. Since the government gave you some of his property, what are you going to do about it?" Alissa questioned.
"When I reach that bridge, I'll crossover," Daniel replied.
"Some bridges don't have a crossover, " Alissa commented and stood up. "I'll talk to you all later. Someone needs my attention, " she pointed to a security guard.
"Really? Alissa, he is a young security officer." Simone almost says it aloud. "Gets your shit together."
"Well, I am not letting this piece of art go away, " Alissa said and walked away from the table.
"She is a problem," Park commented as soon as Alissa left the table.
"Munachi, what about that Johnson's daughter?" Daniel asked about Lara.
"You want her dead too? " munachi questioned back.
"No, " Daniel shook his head. "Let's her be but make her life miserable until she begs for mercy."
"Alright." Munachi nodded in agreement.
"Now, let's begin a new chapter in our lives," Daniel announced joyfully and raised his glass of wine up. "To a new chapter, " he toasted.
"To a new chapter, " they all chorused.
