Chapter 15
Alina's POV
I never thought that today I would meet the most annoying person on this earth. In fact, it's still early in the morning and he makes me forget that I have to get to school soon to take the math exam which seems to have already started. But now he makes me angry and even more disgusted with him. Ryan made my brain cells burst even more. After I had a fever all night because I thought about what Mark said about what happened to me and Ryan. Although I don't know for sure which problems Mark and Ryan have heard from Ryan. But my worries keep racing to the memory of Ryan... Ah, I want to forget that in my memory. But it's really hard for me to forget that incident.
"Hey, are you making fun of me?" I became increasingly angry with him when he asked about my condition. I thought he was teasing me and being a bit sarcastic.
"What do you mean, Alina? I don't understand what you mean at all."
"You are?" As I got up from my position and straightened myself by patting my hands because I had just fallen down and my hands were both supporting my own body until their palms touched the sidewalk which was certainly not clean.
Ryan frowned.
I repeated what I said while pointing my index finger confidently towards Ryan's face. I acted as if I was never afraid of Ryan even though I was a girl.
"You are?"
"What do you mean? What Alina? What's wrong? A while ago we already forgave each other and you were sweet to me. But now why are you acting like this to me again? What did I do wrong?"
"Huh, what's your fault you say? What's your fault? What do you think is your fault?"
I challenged him more and more, especially when he started pretending he didn't know what was wrong. Even though he clearly betrayed me by revealing all our secrets to his friends, even to Mark, my boyfriend. It was really annoying when Ryan tried to avoid it and instead asked back about what he had done to me. It was clear that he had betrayed me and did it openly. He thinks I'm stupid and doesn't know what he's done? He spread news about the two of us at the bar that time. I think he's more than just an asshole. Having done something indecent and then showing it off with great pride.
The look on his face seemed to show that he was pretending to think and guess the meaning of my words, which perhaps was suddenly and without any plan for us to meet here.
"Alina? Please explain to me what you mean by that! I really don't understand and am confused by your behavior."
"Confused? Confused you say? Don't pretend to be stupid and confused like that. I know your tricks. You are really depraved and despicable Ryan." While sobbing I started crying in front of him. After all, I was very annoyed with Ryan.
"Come on, Alina, calm yourself! Speak the truth!" Ryan started touching my upper arm. Then he was surprised when he felt my body temperature was unusual.
"Alina? Are you sick? You have a fever, right? No wonder your face looks so pale, it turns out your body temperature is very hot. You need to get treated immediately, Alina, let me take you to the clinic!"
I pushed away his hands that were sticking to my arms.
"Watch out! Don't be so caring! I don't need your attention."
I immediately ran away from him, as far as possible. Until we arrived at the school gate which was almost closed by school security.
I heard the sound of shoes rubbing against the sidewalk wall that I was using as my support to brake. Because I was running very fast and almost missed my speed and passed the school gate. But I immediately acted quickly and put an impromptu brake on my body using both my feet.
"Sir, sir, sir, wait! Don't close it yet!"
I apologized to the security who was starting to close the gate of my school.
The security officer stopped for a moment and looked at me.
"Sorry, the gate must be closed immediately because it has been more than fifteen minutes since the bell rang. So there is no longer any tolerance for those who oversleep.”
"But sir... Just once, let me in. Because I have a math test in this first hour. Otherwise I won't be able to take the exam because it's not a supplementary exam for those who don't take the exam at this hour. Come on, sir!"
"You can't! Once you can't, you can't! This is a school rule and cannot be violated. Besides, why would you be late?"
"I had a fever and woke up late. Then I had an accident on the road."
"Um, you should be able to come in, but sorry, these are the rules. I work here and have to obey the rules."
"Yeah but darling..."
"No buts, buts."
The security started to close all the gates and didn't care that I was late and took pity on him so that I would be given the opportunity to enter the school gate. Even though my reasons are quite logical, there is still no tolerance. I started to think about how I could get into school. One way or another, I have to make it in. Before I was overtaken by that killer math teacher. I have to immediately come up with sharp ideas and try everything so that I don't miss the opportunity to take the math exam in the first hour.
I immediately ran to the back of the school, making sure there was a gap behind me to enter the school area.
"Hey, where are you going?" The security officer asked, surprised to see me suddenly running in the other direction.
"No sir!!! You don't need to know where I'm going." I half shouted at the security.
I could see that the security guard was shaking his head as a sign that he couldn't understand my behavior and attitude, which at first asked to be allowed in, suddenly changed direction to go somewhere. Because he doesn't know what's on my mind right now. Never mind, forget about school security. Now I'm starting to shift and focus on my mission to get into this school area.
I ran in a very hurry and finally I arrived behind the school. My class is not far enough from where I am now. So it is very possible that I will be able to arrive on time before the teacher precedes me to enter class.
"Unlucky!" I threw my hand flung down.
I saw that the cracks and holes in the fortress wall were now gone and had been replaced with new walls in the parts that had holes at that time. I started to get frustrated and confused about what to do. Until I slumped and sat leaning my back against the sturdy fortress behind me.
