Chapter 18
Ryan's POV
Finally we started discussing Rei Wanatabe. Because our suspicions about Rei's figure turned out to be the same. We started planning something to thoroughly investigate Rei's identity.
"So what should we do now with the figure of Rei Wanatabe? So that we can immediately find out his identity clearly." Tom started thinking in that direction and uncovered all our questions.
"Um... Looks like we'll think about Rei later. Let's better use our time to practice first!" Invite Dylan.
"Yeah, it's getting early in the afternoon." Jake chimed in.
"Yeah, come on, I'll also take my mother to visit my aunt's house this afternoon." I said clearly.
"Which the mother?" Tom was having fun again.
"Yes, I could be that Mom." Jake also chimed in.
Dylan just giggled and grinned, laughing at all the situations that were starting to corner me. But Mark wasn't the least bit interested in joking. It seemed like he was having quite a serious problem so it was difficult for the children to joke with him. I didn't dare bother Mark either. Because I know that when Mark is having problems, he stays quiet and doesn't like to be disturbed. I'm not the least bit interested in getting involved even though I'm curious about Mark now because maybe he has something to do with Alina. I think so, are they having a problem? I could only stay silent and guess from the corner of my eye. Hoping no one suspects that I'm playing detective between Mark and Alina. If they knew I really cared and was paying attention to the two lovebirds then I would be completely destroyed by them.
"Okay, let's start our training this afternoon. Before training, let's unite our spirits first." I started to get serious and invited my teammates to do their usual activities before training started.
"Let's start putting our hands together," said Mark, starting to look enthusiastic about starting the exercise.
We put our hands together with one of our palms, we started to put it on the back of the other hand in one team and we broke out with a roaring sound. Burns in the soul and breaks the spirit full of ambition.
"Yes, the Hokey Team are champions"
That's the jargon that is part of our lives. Especially when we want to do training and tournaments.
We started taking on our respective roles as usual when we were practicing. We were so enthusiastic and enthusiastic when training started. This time we did the training schedule independently. Unlike usual, on Wednesdays we always do joint training with Oakwood High School. But the schedule for Tuesday and Thursday is a different training schedule from the children's team at Oakwood High School. Today, Coach Miller couldn't be here so we just practiced whatever we wanted.
While we were busy doing practice, suddenly a ball hit Jake's head from another direction that we didn't expect. Until Jake bounced and we were shocked. Suddenly we immediately helped Jake who had fallen down.
Bang.
"Jake."
In unison, we were so shocked that we automatically shouted Jake's name at the same time.
Jake slumped weakly and fell onto the spacious terrace.
We immediately approached Jake and made sure that Jake was not in too serious a condition. Because the ball hit Jack's head almost at the top of his temple, perhaps above his earlobe.
"Jake, are you okay?" Dylan asked silly.
"Is that okay? Jake just got hit in the head by a ball." You said half worried about Jake's condition.
"Jake, are you still conscious?" Mark asked Jake.
After being silent without a response and still lost in his thoughts, now Jake started to respond to us.
"Aaa... I'm still conscious." He answered while stammering and holding his head.
Suddenly he fell unconscious.
"Jakkkeeee." Suddenly we immediately shouted again.
"How is this?" Tom said starting to panic and get anxious.
"What if Jake dies or has amnesia or a concussion?" Dylan started to think things that weren't true.
"Hust, what are you." I started to get angry at Dylan who always spoke too much.
"Jake, wake up, Jake! Who will treat me to the cafeteria when you die?" Tom started to get dramatic.
"What's wrong with you guys?" Mark asked.
It seems like Mark and I are the only ones sane here. The rest of our friends joke too much. Even too dramatic.
Suddenly Jake began to regain consciousness.
"Where am I?" While holding his head.
"Jake thank goodness." We said thanks in unison while holding our friend. Grateful because he is starting to wake up. We just have to make sure whether the situation is truly conscious or whether everything has not been collected.
"Jake do you remember me?" Dylan said.
"You remember me too don't you Jake?" That's the case with Tom.
"I'm Dylan, you know that right?"
"Me too, Tom," as he patted his chest repeatedly.
"Hmm, stupid. Obviously I still remember everything, I don't have hemorrhoids."
"Hey stupid! Amnesia!" Mark said he didn't reply.
I can only shake my head. In an emergency like this, they can still joke and joke like that. Suddenly from a distance a young man came towards us.
His steps were clearly aimed at us who were gathered around Jake.
"You?" I said.
"Yes, me."
"What are you doing here?" Mark asked.
"Sorry, did you see my ball thrown this way?" Said the young man who was right around us. Turns out he was here too. The mysterious man who has been on our minds lately. Yes, that's right, the man whose background we want to find out is Rei Wanatabe.
I was stunned and almost couldn't believe that the ball that had just been thrown at Jake's head was Rei's ball. Suddenly Tom started to look annoyed at Rei.
"Oh, it turns out this ball is yours?" Jake asked in an unusual tone of voice.
Again and again Dylan joined in to muddy the waters.
"Hey Rei, it turns out that you are the one who misbehaves with one of our teams again and again?"
"We can't let this creature go. It keeps wreaking havoc on our team." Jake said with a passionate expression, fueling the fire that was starting to get hot.
"Yeah, he almost hurt our friend Jake just now. What if Jake dies or has amnesia and a brain concussion?" Dylan always dramatizes situations.
"Hey, that's enough!" Mark started to break up.
"Yes, let's try to solve it with a cool head." I said.
"Yes, Ryan is right, don't play with convicting and judging and then take the judge into your own hands."
"Yes, what Mark said is true, maybe Rei didn't really throw the ball at Jake's head on purpose." I added.
I don't want any fighting between us right now. I think so with Mark.
