Chapter 66
Ryan's POV
Dylan almost got angry after asking us something strange about why Rei was willing to do everything for Jake. But suddenly Mark immediately took the role of trying to divert Dylan's attention. Mark wanted to explain the problems that had occurred so far, all of which Dylan had never known. But I trust Mark that he will explain everything carefully and with good diction. So that he could reduce Dylan's anger which was almost rising.
"Um, like this..." Mark said, starting to explain so that Dylan wouldn't get hot and wrong. But suddenly he was interrupted by the arrival of a nurse into this room.
"Sorry, gentlemen, I'm coming into this room. I just want to give you a billing receipt that gentlemen can pay at the cashier's desk in the bottom corner. This is a breakdown of the costs while Mr. Jake was being treated here."
"Um, okay, I'll be there soon to pay." Rei took the small paper containing the receipt handed over by the nurse.
"Yes, it's okay if we lose, we'll wait at the cashier. Then I'll leave, thank you." Gone and left us here.
Immediately, without much ado, Rei immediately followed the treatment out. Looks like he wants to pay the bill. There were no more questions from Dylan regarding this matter. It seemed like Dylan had forgotten because he was distracted. Moreover, Dylan's memory and focus falter easily. He also doesn't have a strong stance and gets angry easily. Always naive in responding to things and careless in doing and dealing with things. It's just that he is a bit of a vengeful person and is easily swayed. So it's only natural to continue feeling for Rei over and over again.
After Rei finished paying the bill for Jake's treatment. We immediately hired an ambulance to take us home. Because it's impossible for us to carry Jake. It's possible that bad things will happen out there. After the ambulance driver was ready to take us, we immediately went to the lobby and pushed the floor where Jake's body was sitting. We were already in the ambulance and in the ambulance there were only me and Dylan accompanying Jake. Meanwhile Rei was in front with his driver. Meanwhile, Mark and Tom got back on Mark's motorbike. We arrived home at the same time and nothing bad happened along the way from the hospital to our house.
When they got home, everyone immediately went to rest, especially after finding Jake safely asleep. We felt tired and wanted to rest. Because he had been keeping Jake in the hospital for several days and not getting enough sleep. Moreover, our energy was almost completely drained when fighting against Jordan. So it is very possible that we will sleep soundly today. Sure enough, we didn't even remember eating or bathing during our long sleep. It didn't feel like the day had changed and we started our activities as usual. Even though he still takes turns looking after Jake.
"Tom and Dylan wait here for Jake! We're going to campus first."
"Yes ready."
"Okay."
We went through the day without a hitch. It's just a matter of taking turns looking after Jake. But it seemed like Jake started to get better after he woke up early in the morning and started to be able to interact with him. It looks like in the next few days he will get better and recover even faster. I hope so, because there are a lot of things left behind during Jake's illness. For this reason, we have to catch up and return to training on the field with Coach Miller.
While on campus I started to remember about Alina and her dark story. I immediately had the intention and plan to solve Alina's problems one by one. At least I will go to Oakwood High School to repair Alina's good name which has been tarnished due to a mistake.
Without my other friends knowing, after leaving campus I went straight to Oakwood High School to visit the principal. Since there was no other lecturer in my class, I was able to come to Oakwood High School not too late in the day. I hope the principal and student affairs are there when I visit Oakwood High School.
When I arrived at Oakwood High School I immediately met the principal. Coincidentally, I ran into him when he was about to leave his office. However, I was still served well and openly. Until all relevant people are present. We are also waiting for the arrival of Alina's uncle and aunt as Alina's guardians. So that everything is clear in the solution. Likewise with Jenny's gang and the eyewitnesses who were club kids and Alina's class. They were also present in the courtroom. They were asked one by one for their information. In the end, it was proven that Alina was just a victim of bullying and did not deserve to be expelled from this school.
For this reason, the principal assigned his staff to write a letter which would be entrusted to Alina's guardian. Letter regarding apology and appeal for Alina to return to school. After seeing the envelope containing the letter given to Alina's guardian, I now felt relieved. At least one by one, Alina's problems are starting to be resolved. I hope she will want to go back to school and rejoin her Cheerleaders team. So she can take part in the tournament later.
Right from Oakwood High School I went straight back home. Because I'm worried about causing more trouble by coming home late. Moreover, Mark also seemed to have arrived home earlier. Then there will be questions later if I don't hurry to follow him home. It's true that I also get that question from my friends.
"Ryan, where have you been? Isn't there no class? Even though Mark has been home since earlier, you didn't come home with him." Dylan asked me.
"It's like you don't know Ryan, he's attracted to a lot of women. It's clear that Ryan must be hanging out first for a date." Tom said, half joking.
Mark was not at all interested in discussing my late return home.
"Never mind, I'm tired, I'll tell you later." I said as I left and entered the bathroom to wash my face which felt uncomfortable and dull. After that there was no conversation between us and we each used our own rest time.
Day after day and it just went by. Until there was a point where we found that Jake was quite good. It seems he has recovered and feels fit. Looks a bit fresher than before.
"Jake, where are you going, so stylish?"
"To campus."
"Are you really cured?"
"Of course."
Jake started going back to college and training. He is even excited to take part in the tournament which will be held soon.
