Ryan's POV
Everyone started to show panic when I started telling them about Jordan and his whereabouts which were not far from the location of this hospital. In fact, I was also worried that he would get closer to here and then find out where I and my other friends were. It seems like my other friends are also worried about the same thing as me.
"Don't let him know we're here. Does he know where you're running next? Maybe he's following you from behind." Rei said.
"No way, because I hid in the trash can and went inside until I found it was safe outside and Jordan was gone and there was no trace of his nose or scent at all."

Because right now we are in a critical situation and especially waiting for Jake to recover has become a big problem for all of us. So I don't want to add to the problem by explaining all the actual chronology of events to Dylan. Because I know how Dylan will respond. His logic is a bit blunt and he puts his emotions first. So I'm really worried that something bad will happen later if Dylan finds out that we were dealing with Jordan because Jordan was looking for Rei. In fact, Jake became Jordan's victim and is still lying weak in the hospital bed. So I'm really just trying to be safe.
"It's true that the story is too complicated for us to explain now. Let's do it another time, when we're in a comfortable situation." Mark supported my thoughts while gesturing to Tom not to make a sound. Because he might slip up and tell Dylan the truth, it will only invite new, bigger problems later.
Meanwhile, Rei looked nervous, from her expression, it seemed like she was worried because she might be afraid of Dylan's response if he found out what really happened, which caused Jordan to become angry and monitor all of our movements.
"Ummm okay, I'm ready to hear it later." Dylan's response.
I think Dylan will continue to insist on finding out the reasons and origins of Jordan so hating us and continuing to hunt us down wherever we are.
"Yes that's better." I said.
"Yes, you're sure what Jordan is like, right? Almost everything that makes him unable to move freely must be gone." Mark added.
"Obviously of course I know that."
"Yes, basically he doesn't like it because we are a nuisance to him."
"Oh I see, but what? Why? I mean why can he be so vengeful like that?"
"It's like you don't know Jordan. He's very famous for his arrogant and mean-spirited attitude, right?" Tom chimed in, this time setting the record straight.
"That's right." Dylan's question stopped until the very end.
The nurse came out of the ICU and left Jake alone.
"Sir, it's finished. One of these gentlemen can return to accompany Mr. Jake Gyllenhaal inside. Sorry, remember, sir, only one person can enter. It's your turn, the rest can wait outside."
"Okay." Answer us in unison.
The nurse just walked away leaving us here standing still. Finally, we huddled and negotiated to determine who would accompany Jake first in the ICU.
"Who's going to wait for Jake inside?" I asked.
"Just let me go first." Dylan said.
"Yes, okay, take good care of Jake! If there's anything important, you can contact us via cell phone, Dylan."
"Okay."
"I'm hungry, Tom, can you take me to the hospital cafeteria?" Mark asked.
"Of course." Tom agreed to Mark's invitation.
"I want to come too, I'm hungry too, I haven't eaten all day." I said.
"Me too, I'm coming too." Rei said too.
"Okay Dylan, we'll leave Jake on your shoulders. Take care of yourself and look after Jake well. We'll come back after we've finished eating."
"Yes, no problem, go. Let Jake be with me of course I will look after him as best as I can."
"Yes, okay, we trust you."
We started to leave Rei alone and immediately rushed to the hospital canteen to hunt for food to fill our stomachs. With Tom's instructions to go first to the cafeteria, we followed behind Tom. Tailed from behind and walked behind Tom. Meanwhile, I walked at the back. While Rei and Mark were walking in the middle of the two of them, they seemed to be having a conversation, but who knows what, maybe the topic of discussion went here and there.
As I walked my eyes looked around me. Especially when new patients are brought in from outside to be treated at this hospital. There are several that I have seen since earlier. They have different conditions and circumstances. Until I saw a figure that I clearly recognized.
"Alina?" I muttered in my heart without daring to say it.
I saw Alina being escorted by two people and two nurses who accompanied her by pushing the bed that Alina was in. I'm pretty sure it's Alina. How could I be hallucinating? I was very clear in seeing this time. I couldn't be more mistaken. What I saw was Alina. But I didn't dare make a sound. Because she was afraid of being wrong and afraid of being suspected, let alone inviting big questions from Mark. I'm very careful about that. Besides, if I was just hallucinating then I would be very embarrassed if I told my friends that I was seeing Alina right now. I can be laughed at by them. In fact, I will become their target because I said this. There will be many questions in my friends' minds. They will ask questions about my relationship with Alina recently. So I would be really confused if that happened to me. I will feel ambushed and held back later. You also can't make any excuses anymore because you feel cornered. I will find it difficult to hide my feelings.
