Chapter 38

Ryan's POV
Everything was finished but Dylan and Tom had just woken up from their sleep. Even though earlier when I was facing Jake myself, it was clear that I really needed the help of both of them. But now that everything was over and even Rei and Mark were here, they realized. It's really annoying and I feel like I want to scratch these two stupid creatures.
"Em, what is this?" Dylan said innocently.
"Like something happened." Tom is just as innocent.
Neither of us answered either of their questions. They were left alone with expressions full of question marks.
"Why did it happen?" Mark said to me.
"I don't know, everything just happened without being able to predict it, even I just walked into this room. Jake was like that. I don't even understand how to handle it. Luckily I was fine and you two suddenly came. Dylan and Tom It's so hard to wake up."
"Hmm... It can't be relied on."
"What happened just now?"
"Jake was throwing a tantrum and acting strange."
"Really?"
"Yes, you can see for yourself that this nurse has fainted like this. This means that something bad and scary has happened earlier."
"Yeah, that's right."
"Um, you're right."
"Ouch."
"Okay, let's wait for this nurse to wake up."
"Eh, look at his eyelashes, his eyelids are blinking."
Not long after, the nurse woke up and recovered from her fainting.
His eyes opened and when his eyes started to widen seeing us surrounding him he suddenly screamed again and fainted again.
"Are you aware?"
"Aaaaaaaaaaaa."
"Yeah... He fainted again. Ouch..."
"Never mind, let's just wait until he wakes up and wakes up." Mark said.
"Oh yeah Mark, what did you buy?"
"This." Thrust it towards me.
"What fun is that?" Tom chimed in.
"Well, you know we're hungry." Dylan said.
"Huhhh, you two, when it comes to eating, move really fast." I said.
"That's normal." Mark said.
Rey was seen just shaking her head, obviously surprised by Dylan and Tom's behavior.
We immediately unpacked the gifts that Mark and Rei had just given us. We eat together here what we have bought.
While we were busy eating, the nurse suddenly became conscious.
"Hey look he's conscious!"
"Where?"
"There."
"Yes, he's starting to wake up."
He started to sit up and rubbed his eyes then asked.
"Where am I?"
No one answered any of his questions.
Mark suddenly answered casually.
"Don't worry, you're safe here. You seemed to have been hallucinating so you suddenly fainted here."
He remembered the events that had happened.
"Ah no! It felt like it was real. I saw the patient..." With an expression still scared.
"No! No! You're just hallucinating. We've been here hanging out and eating."
"Yes, that's right, we've been here, nothing terrible happened in this room."
He didn't seem to believe what we were trying to convince him to forget about the strange incident. Yes, let alone ordinary humans, we werewolves, seeing and witnessing and even experiencing this incident directly, made us feel scared and actually a bit horrified at how it felt. It's actually really scary, Jake seemed to be a zombie walking around in a scary way. I really felt like I was in the most tense situation. Fortunately, in the end I was still able to survive and my friends weren't too late to save me. If I was late, hmm... I could have died silly in Jake's hands earlier. I felt like I had survived the deadly tragedy just now.
"You want to come eat with us?" Tom offered the nurse.
"N... No! I'm just bringing medicine for the patient." With an expression that was still scared, he immediately ran away from us after handing him some medicine that Jake had to take late at night.
"Hey, what are the drinking rules?"
I asked because I didn't understand when and how much medicine should be given to Jake later.
Without wanting to linger in this room, the nurse immediately ran away and only shouted while walking towards the exit.
His voice came from behind the door.
"Give me one of each type later at 1pm. Don't forget the antibiotics for anti-pain, don't let it get too dangerous!"
The treatment flew by.
"Hmmm, basic."
"Well, the important thing is that we know the drinking rules."
"Yes, I won't sleep until one o'clock at night. Because I'm afraid I'll miss giving Jake his medicine. Hopefully he'll wake up and be able to take his medicine."
"Yes hopefully."
Now it's just me and Mark who are awake. Meanwhile Tom and Rei went back to sleep. Rei had time to accompany the two of us but in the end he also went to sleep because he was starting to feel sleepy, he said.
"Mark?"
"Yes Ryan."
"Can I ask you something?"
"What?"
"About Alina."
"Alina?"
"Yes Alina, Alina is a student at Oakwood High School."
"What's wrong with Alina?"
"Emmm... do you have a special relationship with Alina?"
"Why do you ask that Ryan?"
"Um, no, I'm just curious. Because lately I often see you walking together with Alina."
Mark didn't answer. Then I tried to speak again so that Mark would say something about his current relationship with Alina.
"Okay if you don't want to tell me anything about your relationship."
Mark smiled faintly then said.
"One day you will find out for yourself Ryan."
"Oh, so it's true that you two are dating, huh?"
Mark glanced at me without speaking.
"Umm... so what? What's your problem with Alina, Ryan?"
"No, no!" I started to feel uneasy when Mark asked me questions like that. I'm worried that all my and Alina's secrets will eventually be revealed. I'm starting to feel not okay now.
"What happened to you?" Mark asked, curious about my behavior which suddenly changed to look panicked. It's really hard for me to cover up all the feelings I'm feeling. Moreover, Mark is an expert in hunches, he even seems to know what's in my head and in my heart. I felt nervous for a long time and found it difficult to move. But luckily I had an idea. I looked at the wall clock. Luckily everyone supports my current situation.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot."
"What? What did you forget?"
"Give Jake medicine."
"Oh yeah right."
"Yeah, look at the clock on the wall. It's five minutes to one in the morning. That means this medicine will have to be given to Jake soon."
"Yes, you're right, luckily you remembered that quickly. If you forget, something bad could happen to Jake. Come on, now try to wake Jake up before the clock strikes one o'clock!”
