Chapter 27

Alina's POV
I felt like my character had been murdered in public after my pride was trampled on during the training schedule in the field and following the exam at that time. Until I took a wrong turn and decided to vent everything by going to the bar. Until I met Ryan in a position of consciousness, we were both in silence. In the end I got into a mess that was more than just being completely bullied. Not yet finished with yesterday's case, now there is another tragedy in the class. I can no longer think clearly other than just walking without a definite goal. Running somewhere. Obviously I want to run away and escape from this very annoying world.
Dug Dug Dug.
The sound of loud stomping of feet conveys angry energy. Along with the tears that I couldn't hold back, they finally came out. I'm confused about who else to complain to. I don't have any close friends at all. Moreover, I no longer have parents, my mother and father died when I was a toddler, he said. Until I lived with my aunt and uncle, namely my mother's younger siblings. I have difficulty expressing myself. I also have to work while paying for my school fees and my needs. Because my uncle and aunt are not rich people who can afford to pay for my school. They were only able to accommodate me to live in their house and were only able to feed me every day. The rest of the time I work part time at a cake shop which is not far from home.
I lament my fate in chaos and misfortune. Still running with tears falling underground. I didn't even care about my surroundings and just ran without looking at anyone I met with every step I took.
I felt very tired after running without stopping at all. Until finally I stopped by myself. Right behind the school leads to the wild fields of the rest of the school grounds.
I sat leaning against the classroom wall with my back to me. Let go of all the endless worries and annoyances. Anger exploded because it had been suppressed by those in the majority.
"Why? Why is my life like this?" I screamed a little which came from my heart until it came out of my mouth.
"Why do I always have such unlucky and unfortunate fate?"
I just kept chattering to myself with an expression that was annoyed at my fate and fate.
"Why is this happening?"
Suddenly someone startled me from the right.
"What happened to you?"
I didn't speak up.
"Are you okay?"
It's clear that I'm not fine, doesn't he see me like this, hmm...
"Sorry, I mean is there anything I need your help with?" The old man corrected his words and replaced them with a question sentence as a form of helping hand.
"Who are you?" I asked looking at him with my face still puffy and my eyes slightly narrowed because they were a bit swollen after crying so badly.
"I was the one who helped you climb to the top of the fort." He answered.
I immediately widened my eyes and changed my sitting position to be more upright after previously leaning slightly against the wall.
I swallowed saliva in disbelief.
"Did I see wrong?" I asked curiously.
"No! You were right in your vision."
"Really?"
"Yes of course, I was in werewolf form earlier."
"Is it true that you are a werewolf like in mythological stories?" I was shocked beyond words.
"Yes, that's right, it's true that there are werewolves, that's me." He explained without hesitation and worry that I would stay away from him after he said that to me.
"Are you afraid?" he asked me.
I didn't answer and didn't make any movements other than being stunned.
"Hey, are you scared?" He asked again.
"Don't be afraid! I won't hurt you." he continued.
I nodded slowly.
"What is your name?" As he stretched out his hand in front of me.
"Emmm... Alina, Alina Richards. Just call her Alina!"
"Yes, okay Alina, nice to meet you."
"You? Um, I mean your name?"
"I'm Jerome Valcke."
"What should I call you?"
"Just gross."
I don't know why I suddenly accepted his presence beside me. Even though we had just met for the first time and we clearly had differences. I am an ordinary human while he is a werewolf. But somehow my fear and awkwardness suddenly thinned and even just disappeared.
"Why are you here?" I asked feeling surprised.
"My house is not far from your school. There, I live there with my brother."
"Your brother?"
"Yes, I have a younger brother named Rei Wanatabe. He's a student at college, while I'm not at college. Maybe I've just finished college." He explained his identity in great detail. This means he doesn't have any bad intentions towards me.
"Oh I see." While nodding.
"Oh yeah, why do you live here? Um, I mean, have you lived here for a long time and mixed with humans?" I continued with questions.
"Yes, not long ago, only a few months ago."
"Why? What's wrong?" I am increasingly curious about this strange figure I just discovered. A species that is rare and difficult to find in the real world.
"I ran away from the enemy. I mean the red wolf who always considered us his enemy."
"Red wolf?"
"Yes red wolf."
"Is it true that there are also different types of wolves?"
"Of course there is, if I'm part of the green wolf group. On average, red wolves like to make trouble and are classified as evil creatures."
"Emmm... Oh yeah, do you often come here?"
"Once in a while, I was just bored in the house so I went out for a walk and accidentally saw you about to fall. That's why I immediately caught you so you wouldn't get injured and fall to the ground."
"Then why did you finally come in here?"
"Curious."
"Curious about what?"
"With you."
"With me?"
"Yes, with you, I was curious about why you were able to enter the school via the back route and even climb the fort. Then I saw disappointment on the look on your face. Including feeling the gloomy energy from your body."
I bowed my head in resignation and went back to lamenting my unfortunate and truly sad fate.
"What happened to you?" Jerome asked.
"No." While shaking his head helplessly.
"You're lying, I know that."
I turned my head towards him and looked at him with a twinkle in my eye. I really want to tell a story and share the pain inside me. I want to complain to Jero. I felt alone and without support, unable to lean on and give direction.
Without realizing it and not feeling it, suddenly Jerome touched my cheek. It turned out he was wiping my tears that were flowing down my cheeks.
"Don't be sad! Don't cry! I hope for you." His gaze was full of empathy.
I actually got worse, my tears couldn't be stopped and it got worse.
