Chapter 48

Ryan's POV
I suddenly remembered the woman earlier who looked like Alina. I'm still very curious about what I saw earlier. So I decided to look for information and find out whether my vision was true, that what I saw was the real Alina. It's not someone else who looks like it and I'm not hallucinating. But if it's a hallucination, I think it's normal. Because last night I didn't sleep at all and maybe that was the effect of excessive sleepiness and tiredness. Moreover, lately my mind has always been busy with Alina and the problems we have been experiencing recently.
"Sorry guys, I want to go to the toilet first."
"You can do it later near the ICU."
"I can't stand it anymore."
"Oh yeah, do you want us to wait for you?"
"No, you better go upstairs first."
"Ummm... OK."
"Is it true you don't want to be accompanied?"
"Yeah, leave me alone, you guys go ahead, I don't mind being alone."
"Well, be careful then."
"Yes." I immediately ran to the toilet before they left me to make sure that they would really believe in my excuse that I felt really desperate and couldn't stand the urge to defecate. Even though in fact it's not at all. I just tricked them into not being suspicious of my movements. I just want to find out for sure that Alina is in this hospital.
I peeked at them behind the wall close to the toilet. Make sure they're really gone from here. After everything felt safe and I didn't see my friends around here, I immediately went out and walked towards the registration counter.
When I arrived in front of the registration counter, I immediately asked the officer. It didn't take long and not wanting to delay for a long time I immediately asked him a question that led to the essence of what I was looking for.
"Sorry, I wanted to ask."
"Yes sir, please. How can we help you?"
"Is there a patient named Alina Richards?"
"Wait a minute, let me check first."
"Yes, fine, I'll wait."
I waited a while until the officer found the relevant data that I just asked about.
"Um, here we are, sir, in the name of Alina Richards. Just came in an hour ago."
I immediately fell silent in my daydream. That means what I saw was correct and I didn't see it wrong. I wasn't hallucinating either, I really saw Alina being taken by the nurse to the emergency room.
"Are you still in the emergency room?"
"For now, still, but just now the doctor has checked her condition and soon she will be put into a special patient room."
"If I may know what room it is, sir?"
"Excuse me, may I ask, who are you, Alina Richards?"
"Um, I'm her fiancé, I'm Alina Richards' future husband."
"Okay, Miss Alina will be moved to room number 235. Specifically on the second floor, sir, in the far left corner."
"Okay, thank you for the information."
"Yes, you're welcome, sir."
I walked away from the officer and immediately returned to the ICU.
I found my friends sitting in front of the ICU room and nothing strange happened. It seems that the person in the room now is Rei. I returned to join my friends. Until the doctor checks Jake's condition again, Jake will immediately be moved back to a regular inpatient room. Because the situation has started to improve. Even though Jake actually still needs a blood donor. We were getting ready to move to inpatient room number 256. The place was still on the top floor. This makes it possible for Jake's care to be more intense and if something bad happens that makes it possible for Jake to return to the ICU then there will be no difficulty if Jake has to be moved again. Because the doctor cannot guarantee that Jake's condition will remain as stable as it is now until he finds the right blood donor and immediately undergoes a blood transfusion.
Several hours passed after Jake started occupying inpatient room number 256. Nothing bad or strange happened. We were able to accompany Jake indoors without having to go inside one by one. We were free to accompany Jake with the five of us. The clock kept ticking and I started to be haunted by my curiosity about Alina's current situation. I tried to remember the room number and the instructions the nurse had directed me to. I immediately left Jake's room secretly when all my friends were fast asleep. Almost midnight I dared to sneak into the inpatient room occupied by Alina. Sure enough, Alina was in room number 235. At first I knocked on her room door but several times no one answered from inside. It was very clear that Alina was unconscious, whether sleeping or something else, she was clearly not awake. Even though at first I felt nervous and nervous, for some reason I suddenly had the courage to go inside. Make sure that Alina doesn't experience anything serious. Then I also want to know what caused Alina to be taken to the hospital. I didn't even think in any other direction at all. It could be that there are other people inside besides Alina, whether it be family or relatives or others who are looking after Alina.
Knock knock knock.
I opened the bedroom door slowly. In this room there is only Alina. I even wondered and felt strange why no one was looking after Alina here. Or maybe the family hasn't been told that Alina is in hospital. Um... losing like that means Alina was taken to the hospital by someone she didn't recognize. Could something bad happen to Alina out there? It seems that's the case so Alina was brought here.
I approached Alina who was lying down in a calm state. I saw that on her head there was a bandage wrapped around her temple. It looked like she had been hit. I approached Alina and I drew closer to myself. She didn't even realize that I was beside her right now. Until in the end I myself felt shocked when Alina screamed.
"Go! Let's go!"
I couldn't make a single sound. It seems Alina knows where I am. I immediately left this room. Before finally Alina woke up and found me here.
