CHAPTER ELEVEN
COLLIN’S POV
It had been only two nights since that hot night encounter in that washroom but all I could think of was Nadia. How her beautiful, delicate body molded into mine so perfectly when we fucked. Those layers of rich fair skin had left an impact on not just me but my wolf too. It almost felt like he and I were now in peace. It was strange if I was being honest. From what I’d had, the wolf usually took longer to heal from the pain.

“You are breaking all the one night stand rules, you know,” Danny complained as he pushed his suitcase into the trunk. We had been in Las Vegas for the past two nights and it was really the life of the party. No matter how many women I tried to get involved with, she was still stuck in my head. Nadia was something else and I hated how bad I wanted to figure out what exactly. She put an invisible mark in me, one I knew I wouldn’t be forgetting anytime soon. Once again, I found myself helplessly falling into the throes of passions, unable to get a woman out of my head.

“What?” I asked, glancing at Danny as he got in the car, sitting behind the wheel.

“You are still stuck on that woman from that night. That is just wrong man. This was not a road trip for getting new emotional attachments and she is fucking human anyway. This road trip was for you to get a break from the pressure of the pack and move on from Laila. I have no idea how good your one night stand woman was in bed, but trust me I’m pretty sure she has already forgotten all about you just like how I know Sasha has already forgotten about me right after we screwed in her car,”

“Who?” I cocked an eyebrow.

“Sasha? Your woman’s friend? Don’t tell me you’ve forgotten about her already. She was blonde, abound 5.8 feet tall with-“I burst into laughter, unable to hold it in. Even my wolf was a little bit amused.

“What? Did I say something funny?” He questioned, his brows pulled slightly together in a frown.

“No. It’s just that you are so busy lecturing me about breaking the rules of one night stands when you are the one remembering Sasha’s every detail down to her height,” I laughed heartily again.

He leaned against the seat, a sigh leaving his lips as he broke into a smile. Damn! Looks like I was not the only one who was star struck by a human.

“I guess I also wanna fuck her again. Man! That girl was more than just a fucking bombshell. I would not mind a second round to be honest,” He poised, stealing a glance towards me.

“I feel you but we need to stick to the one nightstand rules. I gotta say though, Nadia sought of opened my eyes. I know she was just a stranger but those few minutes with her, made me realize I can do just about any fucking thing if I want to. Its like she gave me this new sense of release and now I don’t even feel any sort of pain when I think about Laila or what she did. Well, my ego is still bruised a little but I know I will get over it. Nadia and I will probably never run into each other but at least one good thing came out of it. For all I care now, Laila can go fuck herself to death and I would not give a damn. Thank you for this trip Danny. At least I still have you to count on,” I smiled enigmatically.

“Whoa! Is it really that easy to move on from someone? You know I kind of thought, it’s going to take a couple of one nightstands, getting high, watching the nineties heartbreak movies over and over again and drinking yourself to death before you get over Laila but clearly my assumption was wrong,”

“Fuck you Danny!” I hit his arm playfully as I turned on the radio in the car, the nine a.m. news coming through. Usually I was never interested about what was happening in the goddamn world and I would have probably changed the channel if something the announcer said had not caught my attention.

“The owner of the world’s largest power company; Hale Energies; William Hale, His Fiancée; Nadia Dela Fuente; a renowned romance Author of the hit book Price of Love and a few of their friends and family members, today gather to pay their last respects to the Billionaire’s mother who died in a tragic accident on the night of twenty first April. The closed off funeral will be held at the national cemetery. May her soul rest in eternal peace. Moving on, the president of UNICEF has -“ I turned the radio off.

“Do you think that’s the Nadia?” Danny questioned, his hand resting on the wheel.

“I don’t know. You know when she first claimed she had a fiancée, I figured that was a tactic she had devised to throw men off the loop. I did not think she was serious,” I let my back rest against my seat.

If she was indeed the one, then why I had let myself become Bradley? I fucked a woman who was already taken and the sick part was that I loved it. Every. Fucking. Minute. Of. It. Was I any better than that asshole I punished? Where was the fucking sense guilt? Or perhaps, the names were just a coincidence. Perhaps my Nadia was just mine.

“Hey, you can’t be sure that’s her in the news. Maybe it’s just some other Nadia,”

“You are probably right. Maybe I’m just-“I was cut off by the ringing of my phone; Ethan’s name flashing on it. Could he not look after the pack for a few days without calling me? Did he not get the fact that I need a goddamn break?

“This better be good Ethan,” I snapped. My nerves were already on edge thinking about Nadia and how I could possibly a version of Bradley.

“We have a problem and I’m not talking about some pickle sized problem but a fucking major problem,” He said instead and that peeked my interest. What could have possibly gone wrong after I left?

“Just spit it out Ethan,”

“Today morning, three of the sentinels that were on guard yesterday night, were found murdered, their hearts ripped out then their bodies tied to a tree, a few meters off the pack house. There was a note on the neck of one of them that said, This is just the beginning of the reckoning. I’m coming for you Alpha,”

“This has to be the work of that Creek Moon pack. That are trying to manipulate me,” I muttered, grinding my jaw.

“Actually, that would be impossible because the same thing was done to their pack and also to the other five packs in town. You need to get back here as fast as you can,”
