CHAPTER 28

CHAPTER TWENTY EIGHT
It was insane how I was draw to the heat exuding from his eyes. It was hot, pulling me right in and increasing the blood rush in me. A part of me wanted to reach out, grab him and just fucking kiss him like he was the air I needed to breathe, then later on blame it on the alcohol.

“You feel it too, don’t you?” He whispered.

“Feel what?” I whispered back, completely dazed in the lust painted in his eyes.

“The pull,” he leaned closer, his lips gently brushing my year,” The lust. I know you feel it too Nadia. It may be wrong because you have someone else in your life, but I fucking wanna rip off every layer of clothe attached to your body. I want to taste you on my tongue Nadia,” My eyes fell shut, his sinful word propelling wicked desire through me and I was quickly spiraling out of control.

If my phone had not rung at that exact moment, I would have been kissing Collins or who knows? With words like those slipping off his tongue, we’d have been doing more than just kissing. A frown touched my face when I noticed it was Trina’s name flashing across my screen.

“Trina?” I shouted once I answered the call, covering my other ear so I would be able to hear her. I also took that chance and eased my way out of the crowded bar and more important away from Collins, walking outside even though the music was still pretty loud.

“H-help me,” she sounded like she was in dire pain.

“Where are you?” I questioned now in full panic mode as I glanced around but I could not see her answered. Where the hell was she? When no answer came back, I felt my heartbeat quicken with dread feeling up every pore in my body. In this insane town filled with mythical creatures, anything was possible. I turned around to get back inside and summon Sasha but instead, I ran smirk into a broad chest.

“What? So are you following me now?” I snapped, gazing up at Collins but he seemed distracted as his gaze swept around.

“I smell blood,” he muttered almost a though in a whispered but I still heard him.

“Yeah, right,” I rolled my eyes attempting to walk past him but he grabbed my hand and literally glared into my eyes.

“I can smell human blood,” he muttered in aggravation, literally dragging me with him. I didn’t want to think of the worst but when we turned into the empty street at the back of the club, more dread filled in me.

“Oh God!” I shrieked at the sight.

Trina lay clearly unconscious on the ground, her heels lying carelessly a few paces away from her and there was blood seeping from a big would on the side of her tummy. My legs felt like jelly and it took every shred of energy left in me to remain on my feet. A piercing scream left my lips at the sight as Collins, squatted touching the wound.

“Venom,” he announced, his jaws gnashing against each other.

“What are you talking about? Is it a s-snake?” my lower lip trembled.

“No. Its werewolf venom and I recognize that scent every well,”

“I’m calling an ambulance,” I stated, dialing but Collins grabbed my phone off my hands, pushing it into his pocket.

“Your friend doesn’t need the hospital right now,” he snapped at me then turned to Trina, easily hoisting her into his arms bridal style.

He walked past me with Trina stilly lying unconscious in his arms. I dipped down, picking Trina’s shoes before scrambled after him, cussing my heels. We may have almost had a moment back there but there was no way I could trust this guy.

“Hey, Wolf-man, slow down. Where the fuck are you taking her?” I snapped but he ignored me and kept on walking.

Bending down, I unstrapped my heels, carrying them in one hand as I rushed after him. He stopped by a white Bentley.

“Can you get my car keys for me? Front right pocket,” he said in the same curt tone that was growing on my nerves.

Huffing lightly, I found myself covering the distance between us. I pushed my hand into his front pocket, reaching for the keys and when I looked up, there was clear amusement dancing in his orbs.

“What?’ I snapped as I unlocked the car for him.

“Nothing,” he answered much to my chagrin. He beckoned for me to open the backdoor and I did. He laid Trina carefully at the back then got behind the wheel.

“Are you coming or what?” he questioned, sticking his head out of the window.

“Not until you tell me why I should not report this to the cops or call an ambulance. For all I care, you could have been the one behind all this. Who know what kind of a monster you are,” I crossed my arms.

“Just get in the fucking car Nadia!” I start back at the amount of venom mixed with frustration in his voice, his orbs flashing bright green for a second. He shut his eyes briefly and when he reopened then, he was much calmer now.

“Just get in the car Nadia unless you want your friend turning right now,”

I got in the car, still shaken a bit but there was something about that last part of his statement that took my attention,” When you said turn, what exactly did you mean?”

He started the engine, pulling into the main road. He briefly glanced at me then sighed, pulling his attention back to the road.

“Your friend was bitten by a werewolf and considering how much the wolf venom has already spread in her body, she is going to turn before the end of the night. It might take hours or even minutes but the first three days are too dangerous for her to be in the streets,”

“You mean Trina is going to turn into some doggy creature like you?” I muttered, completely horrified by just the thought of Trina being like that.

“You still let this Doggy creature fuck you so hard in that washroom,” He smirked, meeting my gaze just briefly.
