CHAPTER 27
CHAPTER TWENTY SEVEN
NADIA’S POV
“Honestly guys, I sort of feel lost without William. He was always there, you know,” I slurred a tad, making a poor attempt to peer at my two friends under my eye lashes. I was clearly tipsy and so was Sasha. Trina as usual was being careful about her drink and only sipped occasionally so she would not appear out of place.
“I still think he was pretty annoying. It’s like he was always up your ass and seriously, spying on you while we were on that trip? That was creep stalker level,” Sasha pointed out, drowning her glass.
“I know right?” I sighed,” But still, when I was with him, my life was admittedly better. Now, suddenly my mother was some sort of wolf hunter or something. If I had not taken that trip in the first place, I would never have met that man or animal or whatever he is. Wait, why did he have to be so goddamn sexy?” I frowned at my half empty glass. Collins was one hell of a delicious looking snack and as much as I tried to refute the image of him taking me hard in that bathroom, it was all I could think about.
“You two are clearly drunk. Its about time we got back to our hotel,” Trina spoke.
“Don’t be silly Trina. We just got here. Enough of that because I want to hear everything about that sexcapade with sexy wolf man. We never got to hear it because of William’s mum’s demise and everything,” Sasha giggled and she was clearly more drunk than I was.
“Oh God! You two are going to be the death of our trio. Grab your purses and lets get going ladies,” Trina ordered sternly, practically glaring at us over her glass.
“So how big was he?” Sasha questioned, making a poor attempt to wiggle her eyebrows mischievously.
“Oh damn! He was so fucking-“ I was cut off by Trina’s phone ringing.
She retrieved it from her purse, frowning on the caller,” Its work. Stay put and don’t move a muscle. I’ll be back,” She walked out.
“I thought it was a no-work trip,” Sasha frowned.
“Well, you know Trina. You want to dance? I feel like that’s all I want to do right now,” I proposed, standing up and surprisingly enough without tottering one bit.
“Thought you’d never ask,” she muttered as she stepped off her seat, barely staggering on her six inch heels.
I grabbed her hand as we made our way into the middle of the club, moving our bodies in rhythm to the hip hop music or at least we tried to move in synch to the beat. What mattered however was that we were having fun and all these strange things I’d learnt about my life were no longer punishing my brain with endless thoughts.
“Looks like you ladies are having quite the fun,” we half turned, still swaying to the music, to find two pretty hunky guys smiling at us.
“Yes. You wanna join?” I try to shout above the music.
“Now that’s something I can agree to. Am I still going to bed you tonight pretty?” The green eyed guy on the right smirked as gazed at me. The other guy had long moved with Sasha further away from us.
“No rush pretty boy. I’m still not drunk enough,” I replied sly, turning around with my back on him, grinding.
For a moment, I loved how we were swaying to the beat of the music and nothing else seemed to matter. All the thoughts of my messed up family secrets or the missing childhood memories or even the hunky wolf man all disappeared to the back of my mind. My eyes shut as the stranger’s palms hovered over the sides of my thighs and admittedly enough his touch on me was nothing close to what I had felt when Collins had touched me. Fuck! So much for pushing him to the back of my mind.
For a spilt of a second he stopped touching me, his body seemingly detached from mine and I was about to turn around and figure out what the problem was, when the scent of the familiar cologne wafted through my nose, put me to a standstill. Even as the familiar huge build encompassed mine from behind, my whole body had gone numb, unable to react to the heat hurtling through me in an inexplicable speed. All the alcohol seemed to have disappeared from my system, leaving me very much awake with Collins’s touch punishing me without mercy.
“Nadia,” he breathed my name against the crook of my neck and that was what drew me out of my daze.
I pushed his palms away from my thighs, turning around to face the taller man. I had no idea why but the first thing I did was slap him so fucking hard across his cheek. He barely flinched while my hand felt like it had burned from the impact. Damn! I should never slap anyone that too hard ever again.
“I told you to stay away from me Collins, “I snapped, trying not to get distracted by the fact that he was looking so damn edible in that leather jacket straining against his well-built upper body.
“Well, I was going to stay away but then, seeing some guy rubbing his baby weenie all over you, made me a little…jealous,” He had the nerve to smirk on my face like it was nothing.
“Ugh!” I huffed, attempting to walk away but he grabbed my arm, pulling me towards him and damn! This guy was either so strong or I was still a bit tipsy. Either way, it was impossible to ignore that sexy smirk dancing on his lips or the fact that his lips were so damn close to mine.
“What are you doing?” I whispered.
“I don’t know Nadia,” he whispered back, lust precipitously grazing the depth of his dark brown eyes.
